“A French official is examining whether to prosecute US Vice President Dick Cheney over alleged complicity in the abuse of corporate assets dating from the time he was head of the services company Halliburton, the French newspaper Le Figaro said yesterday.”
Now… when we consider that Le Figaro is a pro-Chirac government paper, and has made no bones about this point, we understand why the paper is printing this. Chirac’s version of diplomacy was exposed by the US as the criminal sham it is, and this is them trying to extract revenge for that exposure… nothing more.
