That’s a comment on Cosh’s pointer [2] to his remarks on the Glasgow hijinks: “The Two Stooges” [3].
I’ve said it before, here & there. This [4] is an example at my blog that comes to mind. I have never understood why these animals aren’t a lot more serious, and I still don’t get it.
I do. Here it is.
Consider the bumbling that goes on in government. It’s not unlike the kind of bumbling that we saw going on in Glasgow the other day. In both cases, what we’re seeing is the result of the stooge thinking they’re under the protection and direction of the divine… they can do no wrong.
I don’t know if I’ve described that to you in a very precise manner, but I think you see the drift I’ve taken.
