Hughie Thomasson died at his home in Florida last Sunday, of a heart attack. He was fifty-five years old.

You’re right, Billy, it is a hell of a loss.
If I remember correctly, Clive Davis actually wrote the liner notes for that debut LP, and stated that they were the first full tilt rock and roll band Arista had signed… which may have been a promotionally intended choice of words looking back on it. I’ve still got the LP around here… I’ll have to dig it out. The CD was near useless as no matter for reading the liner notes.
