I see the state of Virginia has decided to level charges against Michael Vick [1]. I’m curious as to the delay in leveling these charges. It seems reasonable to suggest that their investigation is using the Federal charges as a springboard. But it also seems reasonable to suggest, that Virginia’s a little late to the party. One also gets the impression that other states involved are going to be leveling charges before very long.
You know who really takes this on the chin, is the NFL, who given the Belichick thing can ill afford it. My inclination is to not much care what happens in the NFL this season. Not much of the laws, given that my Bills are stinking up the joint this year.
At some point in the not so distant future, and better sooner than later, the NFL is going to have to confront its antisocial types. The ones who can’t seem to follow the rules. For the sake of the game, if not for the sake of the gravy train that the NFL has been riding on these last 40 years or so.
