BitsBlog Eve Ensler loser: Tunku Varadarajan

In honor of idiocy in the media, I hereby designate the Eve Ensler Award. ^[1]

Today loser is a moron, from Daily Beas ^[2]t, Tunku Varadarajan, has claimed to have published a list of the top twenty-five right wing journalists, from Noel Sheppard, Newsbusters ^[3]:

The Daily Beast Thursday published its list of the Right’s most influential media figures, and the winner will likely surprise many on both sides of the aisle.

In the top position according to ^[2] author Tunku Varadarajan (please see update at end of post!) is Paul Gigot, the editorial page editor of the Wall Street Journal.

First let us review the definition of journalist, from Merriam-Webster ^[4]:

Granted Paul Gigot is one damn fine writer, and be is more than welcome at Bitsblog. However a journalist basically assembled facts into news. Gigot writes opinions. People who write opinions are better described a pundits, and not journalists.
