Fess Parker has died.
He was more than a bit of an American Icon, who started a whole wave of coonskin caps and buckskin outfits with his mid-50’s TV portrayal of Davy Crockett, and later, Daniel Boone.
Parker’s been living in Santa Barbara where he was apparently a decent winemaker and real-estate developer.
No cause of death was reported.
Fess Parker was 85.
Addendum; (Davidl)
Certainly an icon, but not just an American icon. I had the experience of a co-working singing the Ballad of Davy Crockett in Macedonian.
