Rochester, NY – Wednesday evening, Jill Rowland, the 28th congressional district candidate, was attending a question and answer round table discussion at the Radisson hotel in downtown Rochester. Dr. Rowland was an invited guest of the Turkish American Business and Development Council. At around 10 PM, a man clad in sunglasses and of questionable attire entered the hotel lobby and headed directly toward the sizeable group. A campaign staff volunteer approached the man and asked him if he needed any help. The man did not respond and appeared to retreat momentarily. He then darted to the opposite side of the group where he promptly positioned himself in a threatening pose directly across from Dr. Rowland

They want that money allocated fairly.” After his victory, despite the economic crisis, he eschewed the Clinton mantra of “it’s the economy, stupid” and set out to make America more equitable.
Voters want economic growthVoters, it turns out, are much more concerned about ensuring the economy grows than who gets what – especially during a deep recession. Unfortunately, the president seems locked into the mindset that greater equality of income must come at the expense of economic growth.
So if Dumbo ever studied anything while he was supposedly attending college, it sure was not economics. Economies based on distribution of wealth only distribute poverty. Look at the former Soviet Union. Like at the Red China. and look at Fidel Castro’s Cuba. Prospertity is generated by economic growth.

Occam’s razor suggests that Obama is a mere conformist–someone who absorbed every left-wing platitude he encountered in college and never seems to have seriously questioned any of them. Kloppenberg characterizes Obama as a skeptic, not a true believer. We’re not sure he has an active enough mind to be either one.

NEW YORK — Day care may prevent certain children from establishing a healthy relationship with their parents, a new study suggests.
The results show the more time fussy, irritable infants spend in day care, the less likely they are to develop a so-called secure attachment with their mothers. A secure attachment means babies are at ease exploring their surroundings, but can still seek comfort from their mom when they need to — they are not clingy or aloof.
From a glass half-full perspective, the findings also mean irritable infants do better when they’re mostly cared for by their parents or other family members.
“People have always thought of irritable, difficult babies as being more likely to have poor outcomes if they have stresses,” said study researcher Beth Troutman, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Iowa.
“But the other side of that is that they’re more likely to have good outcomes if they have more positive supportive environments,” Troutman told LiveScience.
“So it’s not just that having them in day care is a risk, but also that irritable babies really benefit from spending time with family members.
