Breakfast Scramble (Monday)

DavidL's Breakfast Scramble
Dumbo on Wiki: Grab a mop, the Obama administration is leaking information like a thatch rook, in a gale.  So do the Obami shut down the leakers?  No the Obami order low-level government workers not to read the leaked documents.  Evidently, the Obami don’;t object to the leaking of our state secrets, just as long as government workers don’t actually read them, from Fox News [1]:

In a case of closing the barn door after the horses are out, federal employees are being warned not to look at documents leaked by WikiLeaks website, noting that despite their wide release, the hundreds of thousands of stolen papers [2] are still classified by the U.S.  government.

Too little, too late, too pathetic.

Bitch slapping Camelot, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend deems Sarah Palin wrong for challenging the Camelot myth Dear Kathy, there was no Camelot, either of the King Arthur or John F. Kennedy versions.  Those who learn their history at the Kennedy clan dinner table, learn Kennedy myth, from Washington Post [3]:

Palin writes that when she was growing up, she was taught that Kennedy’s speech had “succeeded in the best possible way: It reconciled public service and religion without compromising either.” Now, however, she says she has revisited the speech and changed her mind. She finds it “defensive . . . in tone and content” and is upset that Kennedy, rather than presenting a reconciliation of his private faith and his public role, had instead offered an “unequivocal divorce of the two.”

Palin’s argument seems to challenge a great American tradition, enshrined in the Constitution, stipulating that there be no religious test for public office. A careful reading of her book leads me to conclude that Palin wishes for precisely such a test. And she seems to think that she, and those who think like her, are qualified to judge who would pass and who would not.

The Constitution’s ban on a Religious Test for Office applies to the state, not to the individual voter.  For the Constitution of the United States is a limited license given to the state by the public.   The Constitution places no restriction on what criteria the individual voter my choose to apply.  As such, the voter is free tp apply any test he alone my deem appropriate.

I find Kennedy clan politicians love to proclaim they are Catholic, but prefer to avoid actually being Catholic.   Mz Townsend, how many cousins were butchered to spare your uncles the shame of Kennedy family bastard?

Bitch Slapping Newt:

WASHINGTON (AP [4]) — Former House Speaker [2] Newt Gingrich says he’s more inclined to run for president in 2012 than not to make a bid.
No Newt, Bitsblog is inclined not to support Newt Gingrich, great idea man, but goes off the ranch too far, too often.
