There is a full-throated panic going on amongst the Democrat hierarchy these days. They’re not going to be able to fix this in the short term… Even within the next few cycles, and they know it.
They now understand that Joe Biden being elected to the White House was not a good thing for them. In fact it was counterproductive.
I’ve even heard a few tell me that the only reason that Joe Biden was still arguably alive at the end of his term… (well there was a pulse, anyway, even if evidence of brain activity was lacking) …was that to replace him meant a president Kamala Harris. Which of course in turn, is why she lost that election so dramatically. The Democrats literally found themselves caught between Dumb, and Dumber, and decided to jump lines.
The brave face that the Democrats were putting up prior to the election was revealed to be nothing more than another lie.. which I believe, will be the story going forward for at least the next couple of cycles.
The fact is, the 2020 playbook is not going to work anymore. They couldn’t keep Joe Biden in the basement forever, they couldn’t hide the gaff -o-matic that Kamala Harris is and they certainly couldn’t hide the effects of Democrat party policy on our country its economics and it’s standing in the world.
And despite the lack of a Joe Biden or a Kamala Harris to kick around anymore, that’s still going to be the theme going forward. What else have the Democrats got to go with but the failed policies that were at the root of their problems all along? It’s like trying to sell ricin flavored beer. Oh, there are some that will still buy it of course because it’s got the right label on it, but nowhere near a substantial majority.
I predicted in some unpublished writings that November 2024 was going to represent a landslide for Donald Trump. I said that mostly on the strength of Democrat party internal polling which suggested precisely that. They knew they were going down in a ball of flame. As it turned out it worked only slightly better for the Democrats than I had predicted at the time. Still, for the Democrats, losing both the popular vote and the electoral college could be labeled as nothing but a total disaster.
The reason I said that it would be a GOP landslide is rather simple, there was a lot of Democrat party rank and file, (you know, the voters,) who were making rather loud noises that they recognized that their party wasn’t offering any real answers, anymore. What they were offering is supposed solutions ended up being the problem.
You want to know what swung that election? You can see it in the vote totals. There was a lot of Democrat voters crossing party lines. Those voters recognized a disaster when they saw one. Moreover, they recognized its origins.
With the exception of an extreme minority of true believers, that situation’s not going to change for quite a while, particularly with DOGE on the case, and they’re by a lot of their money laundering tactics being halted, their funding pass for the lawfare attacks on Trump etc being exposed.
To that point, allow me to suggest going over Matt Vespa’s column of this morning [1]
I suggest to you that our future as a nation is a lot brighter than it’s been in a few decades.
