Both the campaigns of Mrs. Clinton and Barack Obama were groveling, much like Don Imus did, for Al Sharpton’s support:
Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton are competing for the endorsement of Mr. Sharpton, who said he would make his choice among the Democratic field in a few weeks. (John Edwards of North Carolina and other candidates have spoken at the annual convention.)
So a question for both Mrs. Clinton and Obama, what role, if any, would Al Sharpton play in your administration? When a canidate nestles up to a hate monger and bigot, like Sharpton, the voters should be curious as to the role the bigot will play in the canidate’s administration.

Sharpton is always at his most effective, as an antagonist and as a blackmailer. On that basis, he is also what is most effective when he holds no official position , since doing so requires accountability. The two situations as described, run counter to each other.
On that basis, I suppose and expect that Sharpton will get no official position within hypothetical Hilly Clinton administration… Â unless of course, she needs him to be LESS effective… and puts him into such a position to shut him up.
