Yes, I saw this the other day and resisted commenting on it. But I can resist no more.
For Your Entertainment posts a link to Time (Who of course has no motivation to distribute bad news about a Republican candidate…. right?).. who in their turn reports:
The incident: dog excrement found on the roof and windows of the Romney station wagon. How it got there: Romney strapped a dog carrier — with the family dog Seamus, an Irish Setter, in it — to the roof of the family station wagon for a twelve hour drive from Boston to Ontario, which the family apparently completed, despite Seamus’s rather visceral protest.
Of course Time, in the interests of fairness, no doubt, posts with the story, a still from “National Lampoon’s Vacation”.
Why do I get the feeling that least part of this story as being amplified, so as to place Mr. Romney in a bad light? Understand; I’m no fan of Mr. Romney. But this strikes me as a 101 class example of “gotcha politics”.
