Pinch Sulzberger, a.k.a. the New York Times, in reference to Fred Thompson, is asking, “Is America ready for a president with a trophy wife?”

To which, Paul Mirengoff, Powerline, says:

I don’t see why not. In 2004, America came fairly close to electing a trophy husband.
