Interesting response from NATO, to the questioning of Chuck Simmins, about why they don’t publish numbers of enemy dead.

It is ISAF policy not to release enemy lossses. This is not a measure of success for us.

Ummmmm…. Yeah…. Okaaaayyyyyy…..

I would respectfully suggest that if that’s truly the case, then one of two situations is in force:

  1. That they truly don’t understand the nature of the war they are in
  2. That publishing numbers of enemy dad is less useful to their purposes than publishing numbers of coalition did, including U.S. forces.

The other possibility, of course, is that that’s not truly the case.  Frankly, I’m not sure which one frightens me more.
