Okay, I’m a little late submitting this one. I spent most of the day performing a rescue of a broken down driver. I took over his load, delivered it off, then got him to where he needed to be. Still, I managed to get 350 miles out of the day. And, that’s better than I expected. Welcome to my world.

I see where Chicago is busily turning itself into the new Detroit. At some point, some liberal, somewhere is going to have to admit that how these things come about is liberal policy… The deadly combination of a Liberal government and the prevalence of trade unionists. Particularly, those unions surrounding government employees.

Meantime, I note that the Rolling Stone author who created the gang rape story out of whole cloth is still employed. The question floating around the net these days is why. And I’ll give you the answer. The author was doing precisely what they were expected to. You see, actual news hasn’t been the issue in a couple of decades. What they were expected to do, and what they did was to promote the left. Do the words fake but accurate ring any bells with you?

I note with some degree of interest, Obama complaining about those who send their children to private schools. I wonder if he even remembers where his own kids went to school.

I know it also Obama complaining about Congress supposedly cutting Amtrak funding. Well, first of all, it’s not happening but what he’s really doing is for the sizing the crash in Philadelphia. What it is he’s also doing is ignoring the fact that we have spent something on the order of a trillion dollars investing in mostly obsolete rail systems.

Speaking of that crash in Philadelphia, it appears to be on the driver for this one. He was doing about a hundred and six miles an hour on a curve marked for 50 miles an hour. Unless you’re going to take the driver out of the seat, and completely automate the thing, which of course has its own attendant problems, I don’t think drawing additional funds at the problem is going to change things at all.

Let’s face it, the left is always about increasing the size scope and power of government. As John Hinderaker says where we see tragedy liberals see opportunity.

I suggest you be mindful of this, going forward. You’re going to see the pattern popping up again and again from the left over the next several months.

And, down the road I go. I’ll see you tomorrow.
