I keep seeing signs on government-sponsored things, like buses, traffic signs, government websites, supposed public service announcements and they all say the same thing…
If you see something say something…
But we still have to consider what happened to the teacher who said something when clock boy showed up the class with his supposedly homemade device.
Add to that, Obama and company shutting down the investigation into the San Bernardino jihad couple. Clearly the implication is, the government doesn’t want to know any negative points about anyone who happens to be Islamic. Apparently, they will go to great lengths, up to and including prosecution of anyone who dares to follow the Edict of “if you see something say something”
I’d like to say this is a mixed message coming out of the government, but since when has government ever been unified and its messages? Something so large and certainly not be tremendously coordinated. It’s one of the inherent problems of any large organization, particularly that of government.
But if you filter the messages down to what’s coming out of the White House, the picture becomes far more clear. The Obama administration refuses to hear anything negative about Islam. They will prosecute you if you say anything.
I believe it was Voltaire who suggested that if you want to see who’s in charge, look to whom it is you cannot criticize. And with that quote, I think we’ve identified a great deal of the problems we as a people face today.
