Back in 2004, I said this;

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -: A fight broke out near the stage at the Vibe awards ceremony as rapper Snoop Dogg and producer Quincy Jones were preparing to honor Dr. Dre., and one person was stabbed, authorities and witnesses said.”

Can anyone come up with big name Jazz acts having this kind of reputation? Bigtime Rock acts? When’s the last time we heard of a knife fight at the Philharmonic? I don’t recall anything like this at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in all the years that’s been running, do you? I’ve been unable to find records of anything of the like happening down at the theatre district in Branson, MO. I haven’t seen anything like this on the Gospel Music circuits, or the Modern Christian music circles, either.

Ya know, at some point, someone’s going to figure out that there’s a rather well-established pattern, here. And no, this is not a ‘racial profiling’ thing. This is a ‘rap profile’ thing, and it’s getting as predictable as the outcome of tossing a can of gasoline on a campfire.

Prevention of this nonsense permeating our society is not something that requires government intervention.

It doesn’t even require ‘black leaders’ to mouth their nonsense. What it WILL require is individuals to walk away from the rap scene as self-destructive.

And I wonder if those still following these thugs, have the smarts to walk away like that.

Sadly, I tend to doubt it.

And it’s even money I’ll get called a racist for saying this.

And I was, too. Indeed, I still get hate mail over it. The old axiom applies here that the teller of Truth has no friends.

But you know what? So be it. I stand by what I said then.

More, I submit that what I wrote back then, is precisely pertinent to what we see going on around us today. So hold onto your safety bars kids, here we go…

I’ve written extensively on the records of the individuals that the left and the supposed black community keep trying to lionize, and the reason that I’ve done so is because their criminal records both individually and collectively are, in fact, extensive.

That said, this is not a race thing. For every George Floyd, for every Trayvon Martin, etc etc I can give you a Candace Owens, a Walter Williams, a Clarence Thomas, a Thomas Sowell, a Ben Carson, a Shelby Steele, a David Webb, a David Dorn. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea.

What’s the difference between them? Why is this latter group successful in our society, and in our unhyphenated American culture? Because they actually decided to join it. They decided to reach up to the sky and not down into the gutter.

What do I consider to be down in the gutter? I suppose we could start with the criminal records I mentioned earlier.

Or if you like we can go back to the 2004 NBA All-Star game which I wrote about at the time. Or we could go to any one of a number of cities work gangs of thugs, burning, pillaging, destroying, killing. To come up with those I don’t need to do any further research then to look around at the reports coming in from any major city. Not from the mainstream media mind you, but from the people that actually live there.

What do you say to the black store owners who have lost their business because of these thugs? What do you say to the family of the store owner in Dallas who was killed by these thugs while trying to defend the shop that he poured his life into? How are their rights being defended? How does this advance their lives if black lives really matter?

Now, before you get tuned up, take a good long look at the list of names that I said have been successful. If systemic racism was still an issue in this country, the fact of the matter is these wouldn’t have been successful, either.

Then again…If black lives really mattered, they’d be tearing down crack houses and Planned Parenthood clinics. Not statues.

And by the way, the same thing goes with immigration. It’s cultural not racial.

With the help of the misguided policies of the Democrat party we have begun to see for once and all that bringing large numbers of people into the country who are not going to adopt and adapt to the unique American culture is probably not all that good an idea.

Minnesota seems a good place to start that examination.

Those who adopt the mainstream American culture, regardless whether they are american-born minority, or an immigrant ostensibly trying to improve their lives, have a tendency to do a great deal better financially, socially, and so on, to the precise degree that the individual adopts the mainstream American culture.

Therefore, attacking the lack of cultural assimilation is not racist by nature but cultural and can only be considered self preservationist.

Witness… There’s a lot of white kids these days growing up in the cities identifying with “black” street culture. They too, in all too large a number, are less successful than

folks who avoid that association.

Again I say, it comes down to this… The vast majority of what gets passed off as racial matters actually are cultural in nature.

But as I say in the title of this piece, nothing has changed get all these years.

Why?

Simply put is there is a political party in this country that seems to feel that it’s in their best interest to placate those who refused to adopt the mainstream American culture. when we see people like prince Andrew Cuomo telling us that America was never that great, do you suppose they’re talking about the culture?

The result is what we see going on around us.
