Two things are going to happen as a direct result of that business with Zieinsky at the White House.
The first is the Europeans are going to get involved and for the next two decades their response to Russia is going to be stuck in committee.
The second thing that will happen is olinsky will end up realizing this before too long it will be back at the White House door hat in hand and much more pliable.
One of the conditions that’s going to be set when that happens is that Trump will demand, and rightly, an election.
And yesI’m fully aware that there is a lying in the Ukrainian Constitution that prevents an election from happening during a war. And you still wonder why he won’t go to the peace table?
I managed to watch the entire 40 some odd minutes of that press conference. Most people only saw the last 10 minutes. What you view the entire press conference, and get the whole thing in context, you will find that the argument was started by zelinsky. All he had to do was keep himself in check for 10 more minutes and he’d have had a deal. As it is, he has succeeded in screwing his country’s chances at least in the short term. A point which didn’t seem to be lost are the Ukrainian foreign minister given her reaction.
I’ve said this before, and I will say it again…
The truth of the matter is that the only reason that Biden let that war go on as long as it did was to comfort for his own crimes in the ukraine. Kind of hard to gather evidence for a prosecution, when the place is getting bombed to hell. I have always suspected them Zielinski himself was cashing in on that situation. This behavior in the oval office did nothing to dissuade me from that line of thinking.
