I saw one of my TDS friends crying about Harvard federal federal funding being shut off as well as visa being removed from people. Let’s explain it to them.
1) it has always been; if you want federal money, you play by federal rules. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking about roads, schools, welfare, housing assistance, etc…. if you want federal dollars you play by federal rules and if the federal government says stop teaching DEI, or that boys can be girls or give birth or any other nonsense, then you stop teaching that and you’ll get the monies. Harvard can continue teaching leftist nonsense all they want, they just won’t get federal monies. If you want monies for the roads, and the federal government says that you need a speed limit of 70 and turns at x° and that exits must match milage, etc then you do that or you don’t get federal monies. It’s not that hard of a concept.
2) Visa holders are guests of the country they are in. If the federal government says that the guest is not behaving in manners conducive to the interests of the country, then the government can remove your visa and once your visa is removed then you no longer have the right to continue to live in said country. Not a difficult concept either. It’s the exact same thing that if you invite someone into YOUR house, you have the right to kick someone out of your house if they are not acting in accordance with YOUR wishes.
3) these are not constitutional attacks, despite what the MSM tells you. These are enforcement of the constitution
