I raised the issue the other day that now that Imus is out of the way, what else do the purveyors of all that’s decent go after?
Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, John Gibson and Michael Smerconish.
So says a WND report.
Remember, folks you read it here first.
Addendum: (David L) While I still have World Net Daily bookmarked, I have long found hard to take Joseph Farah’s electronic fish wrapper seriously. Eric, Classic Values, concurs with the hit job by Mrs. Clinton’s minions, but differs as to the target:
I think the Clinton left would rather take down guys like Imus or Smerconish than a nutjob like Michael Savage, and that’s because moderates and independents are a bigger threat. The far right is easily stereotyped, and in the long run, they can actually be seen as helping (not hurting) Hillary Clinton. If the goal is to get her elected, silencing the moderates (and, of course, libertarians like Neal Boortz) is a vital first step. If I were working for the Hillary campaign, I’d advise precisely such a campaign. Little wonder that another primary target of the Media Matters campaign is Democrat Chris Matthews. Like Imus, he’s a Democrat against Hillary. They hate Matthews so much it reminds me of the attacks on Lieberman. Seriously; if you check out the links, you begin to see a pattern. While its stated goal might be to go after the right wing, Media Matters is very much in the business of enforcing Democratic political conformity.
Even if Mrs. Clinton would like to silence all her critics, she can’t take them all out. And she can’t take Rush Limbaugh down by the threat of a boycott. I am with Eric on this one, but will hold to the idea of blood in the water.

The big difference, there are, is that Smirconish (1210/WPHT) while forceful and effective, is only covered on one station, albeit a very powerful one. Limbaugh, they already tried…
And WND isn’t the only place I’ve heard this particular story… the feed just happened to be to hand when I needed it.

Mrs. Clintnn’s intent is to pass herself off as if she were a moderate. It not the consevative voices which threaten that manuever, bur rather the moderate ones. In any case, she has as much use for freedom of speech as Hugo Chavez.

Heh…. guess I can’t argue with you there.
