The answer is, well, not quite.

I actually held off on posting this so that I didn’t get accused of peeing on Carter’s grave.

Certainly, there is a good deal of equivalency between Jimmy Carter’s naive Mishandling of the Iranian hostage crisis and Joe Biden and his mishandling of the Afghanistan situation.

There is a remarkable similarity also between the two of them on their handling of energy, specifically oil. Creepy Uncle Joe was wearing diapers but at least he wasn’t wearing sweaters.

There was a bit of a difference in the reaction to the complaints of the people on the economy. Carter blamed the American people… Which was arguable, but ultimately untrue… and Biden just flat out lied about the state of the economy, claiming it was the best academy ever. That argument was difficult to justify in the face of anybody paying bills for groceries and fuel. Amazing how somebody so inept on energy can be so brazen in gaslighting.

The people’s reaction to Carter was Ronald Reagan, not once, but twice, and in Landslide fashion both times. The second time, the Democrats offered up McGovern, who’s intended policies were so bad and who had a record that was so foul that the gag reflex caused Reagan to win 49 states.

In observing these parallels it’s difficult not to conclude that the foibles of each resulted from a similar mindset, a similar set of politics and goals and frankly, similarly naive.

As word continues to leak out regarding Biden not being capable of handling the job from day one, (instead of it being as was claimed a problem that popped up in the middle of his term) it becomes clear that he wasn’t the one running the show. It is just as clear that Harris wasn’t either, being very apparently incapable of it.

So if Joe Biden wasn’t running the show and neither was Harris, who was? And why were the results of the policies of whoever it was so similar to that of the actions of Jimmy Carter? I submit that it is something called the Democrat mindset, or mindlessness if you prefer.

Joe Biden still maintains he could have won this election. Frankly he’s saying that because he’s trying to salvage what little is left of his legacy. But if you’ll recall, I wrote last summer that DNC internal polling suggested that driving was going to lose in epic fashion, which in turn is precisely why they pushed him out in favor of Harris. The signs were that she was probably going to lose too, but they needed to salvage what they could.

The reason Harris lost is the American public saw correctly that all she was going to do was make the problems worse by doubling down on Biden’s misguided policies. The last thing the American people wanted was more of the same…including it should be noted, a fair number of Democrats who crossed party lines.

I suggest to you that it was the nominal Democrat mindset that caused this similarity of outcome. If neither Biden nor Harris was running things, then obviously Biden administration officials were doing so. People who were steeped in that mindset. Unelected people. Which is one reason that so many find complaints about Elon Musk not being elected so comical.

The American people looked at the situation, looked at their raped bank accounts and recognized that regardless of which Democrat got elected, the braindead Joe Biden or the only marginally less brain dead come on Harris, the outcome would be precisely the same, four more years of the misery we’ve just gone through. Add to that the idea that Harris was the choice that was essentially forced on us by the Democrats not abiding by their own rules. Voters tend to dislike that.

It’s short, it’s not the individual Democrat… Carter, Biden, Harris, or for that matter tampon Tim,that is the issue. It is the mindset of the Democrats that has been in place for many years now.

Up until Joe Biden taking office, Jimmy Carter was quite probably the worst president in American history this side of Woodrow Wilson and FDR. One imagines that Carter died happy, knowing that title had been taken from him by the current administration.

It should be said that where Biden and Carter differ in terms of their time in the White House is that unlike Joe Biden, Jimmy Carter wasn’t using Presidential power to take family members of the criminal hook which by the way was probably the most coherent thing he had done well in office.

Which, intern brings us to Joe Biden’s mental decline and the cover-up of it. That’s already been the subject of a couple of posts on this website and I imagine those won’t be the last as more stuff comes out over time.

Jimmy Carter will be remembered as naive, but well meaning. Joe Biden’s legacy on the other hand will not be fondly remembered by the American people and Joe Biden himself probably won’t remember it all given the rocket sled ride of his mental diminishment.

But the one thing they share is the disaster that was each of their presidencies. Disasters that demonstrably had a common root. Their mutual fatal flaw if you will. Their dependence on making government bigger and more intrusive.
