Passing Thoughts

A bit busy today, and some of these points deserve some further exploration…. but I want to capture these as general concepts before I forget to post them.

• * Never make the assumption that any Democrat has the best interests of the country at heart. That type of Democrat died when JFK did… in fact before JFK did, if you consider that he was already in trouble with his own party, which is why he was in Dallas trying to shore up his support, in the first place. If JFK were still in the game today, he’d be considered a conservative, and likely align himself with DJT. No wonder the Democrats don’t use him as a party icon much, anymore.
• Watching the bit with Trump supposedly dying over the weekend is comical. First, how many days did Biden spend hidden on Rehoboth Beach, mumbling to himself with Democrats not saying anything at all? And don’t tell me they were “concerned about Trump’s health… they were celebrating.  Watching those idiots on X was a laugh riot. So, now that he’s come back, I’ve seen folks laughingly depict his supposedly dying and being resurrected as “Christ-Like”. Oh, and let’s not forget that now that he’s died and come back, he’s eligible to run for two more presidential terms. Right?
• I note that over time the definition of “Outlaw” has changed. Originall the work didn’t describe a criminal, but rather someone who lived where no law was established…such as in the early American West…It just meant outside the law. So, human nature hasn’t changed, it’s just we have more laws to complicate matters. By that same token then, it’s logical to ask if all these additional laws and “regulations” have improved our lot any.
• I hear CBS/Paramount (David Ellison) is seriously considering buying Bari Weiss’ “Free Press” for upwards of $200MUSD. The deal, I hear would also put her in a leading role at CBS News, TV and Radio. I hear the current staff is to put it mildly, very unhappy. Yeah, I know, Rumors don’t always pan out, but it seems to me remarkable that the rumor is even believable… it most certainly wouldn’t have been, say, 4 years ago, and shows just how dire the financial situation at CBS has become, and how much the lay of the land out here in the real world has changed. Weiss would certainly move CBS away from it’s transitional left-wing bias… which seems the biggest objection coming from the current staff. My heart bleeds. By the way, it’s fairly easy to draw a line between this and CBS taking an Axe to Colbert.  Biggest Giggle on this so far… the usual suspects calling Weiss, a Jewish woman, a “Modern day Goebbells”.  Still very predictable. Jenin Younes, I’m looking at YOU.
• Alice Smith suggests: “The UK government is arresting comedians and pepper spraying children but what makes the left furious is that Nigel Farage is reporting these facts in the US.” BTW, Farage’s appearance in Congress is on at YouTube.  Pay particular attention to his exchange with that asshat of a Rep Johnson…
