I’m going over my usual news feeds this morning, and I observe that the left is apparenly unaware of the size of the dog end they’ve stepped in with both the killing of Charlie Kirk, and their celebratory reaction to it.
This is decidedly larger than just those who like myself hvae been active online for years, but also te average Joe and Jane, that never really pay much attention to the news of the day, and instead spend their days taking pics of their lunch, and their cats. We’re not talking for the most part about folks who center their conversations about congressional Democrats, or whatever, but who usually center their discussions on football, their car, their favorite vacation spots.
These folks have woken up and are now furious. They’re logging on, and calling into talk shows, etc, by the millions…. (Remember, I write for this website, contribute to others, and still have friends in the broadcast business) These folks are letting their voices be heard in numbers that are truly staggering.
Oh, and lest I forget, let’s remember the beautiful 23 year old Ukrainian woman,Iryna Zarutska, getting stabbed to death by a career criminal with 14 arrests on his record. She came to America to escape the war torn Ukraine. The perception that she was safer facing Russian military incursions, than she was coming to an America where as a result of leftist policy, the criminals get the kid glove treatment, is not only understandable, but alarmingly accurate. Many have noted that the dearth of coverage of that horrible event, gives the appearence of a press intent on protecting the leftist policy directly responsible for the woman’s death.
Then before that news cycle dies, Charlie Kirk gets killed, by a sexually confused hard leftist who (among other things) did not understand that if you’re using a gun in a debate, you’ve already lost that debate…. and unwittingly became yet another example of the trans-sexual terrorism I’ve written about here previously.
I suggest that those two events in the quick succession that they were. is part of why there is such a rise of anger. These are events the right has been saying for many years now are preventable, and largely happened, because of Democrat policies.
With two glaring examples of Democrat driven policies causing death and mayhem to innocent people, their anger is growing by leaps and bounds. Charlie Kirk’s following on X grew from 1.4 million followers to over 10 million. That’s just for openers.
That, to my way of thinking is the positive aspect of all of this. Charlie’s message isn’t being restricted, as his killer clearly figured…. it’s growing faster than anyone could have imagined. Rather than discouraging the movement Charlie started, his actions have manifestly caused the movement to grow at a rate that I confess, amazes even me.
