Yahoo! News – FBI Papers on Kerry Stolen from Marin County Author: “(KCBS)–A North Bay man who had uncovered evidence the FBI (news – web sites) tailed presidential candidate John Kerry (news – web sites) for months in 1971 says some of the files were stolen this week.
Author Gerald Nicosia told police Friday that three of fourteen boxes of once secret FBI files he obtained through the Freedom of Information Act were taken from his Corte Madera home some time Thursday.
He says investigators do not have much hope in finding the missing files.

“PARIS (AP) — A French lawyer, known for defending terrorists and a Nazi leader, said Saturday he will defend Saddam Hussein. Jacques Verges told France-Inter radio he had received a letter from Saddam’s family requesting him to defend the former Iraqi leader in court.”
The article goes on to remind is that it is Verges who in the past defeded such men as Klaus Barbie and Carlos the Jackal.
Let’s look at the records of each of the men he’s defended in the past and see if we see a pattern, here.
According to an EmergencyNet release of 1994 at the time of the arrest of Carlos The Jackal:
“Carlos” is one of the best known “revolutionary terrorists” known in the history of modern insurgent movements. He reportedly has worked for Mohamar Qaddaffi of Libya, Saddam Hussien of Iraq, President Assad of Syria, Fidel Castro of Cuba, George Habash and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Italian Red Brigade, Columbia’s M-19 Movement, the Baader-Meinholf Gang, and any number of other “Communist and Socialist” employers. His resume’ is almost unparalleled in the exploits of terrorists of the last three decades. According to anti-terrorist analysts, the only international terrorist of greater repute is probably Abu Nidal(Sabri Banna).
The article then goes on to say:
He is reported to have consulted with Col. Mohammar Qaddaffi and even Saddam Hussein, during their conflicts with the United States.
Hmmm. All of these listed orgs have two things in commom; their hatred for Jews, and their hatred for America.
And then, there’s the other one mentioned: Klaus Barbie. Barbie was a Nazi Gestapo chief in France in World War II, who was convicted of crimes against humanity in Lyon, France, despite the best efforts of Verges. Says Wikipedia,
In 1941, Barbie was posted to the Bureau of Jewish Affairs and sent to Amsterdam and later, in May 1942, to Lyon—there, he earned the sobriquet “Butcher of Lyon” as head of the local Gestapo. He was accused of a number of crimes, including the capture and deportation of forty-four Jewish children hidden in the village of Izieu and the torturing to death of Jean Moulin, the highest ranking member of the French Resistance ever captured. All told, the deportation of 7,500 people, 4,342 murders, and the arrest and torture of 14,311 resistance fighters were in some way attributed to his actions or commands.
And now, Saddam, himself whose anti-Jewish, Anti-American motivations go without saying.
A pattern of the people this French lawyer defends, and the ideology that drives them, should be amply clear to you. I suspect other things about all the groups I’ve mentioned, should also be clear… their linkages to one another, for one thing.

I suppose I should make mention of what Matt’s laughingly calling “The Margolis Incident”, since everyone else already has.
I’ve spoken of Union violence before in this and other venues, of course, and I’ve always known that most of these were Democrats.
But it does show rather clearly that freedom of speech only counts when the one speaking is left of center.

I’ve not said much about the Bryant case. Mostly this is because I don’t follow basketball anymore, having fallen off the game when Larry Bird retired. I couldn’t care less for this one as far as Kobi’s star power goes.
But in a general sense, this case annoys me no end, because of the way rapes are handled in general in our criminal justice system, anymore.
Tell me something; Why is the accuser’s name not mentioned?
To treat accusers so is to presume the accused is guilty. Whatever else happens, regardless of his guilt or innocence, Bryant’s name is forver stained. THe accuser has little or nothing to lose.
Whatever happenened to “presumed innocent?” The bottom line is, based on what I’m hearing already, she’s gotten used more often than a retired Mail Jeep. Apparently she decided Bryant was good for a few bucks, and went accordingly. And the number of times this happens is a direct result of our laws set the way they currently are.

The depth of lying by the Bush administration on Iraq’s threat, on the nuclear capabilities, on the WMD’s, on the Prescription Drug bill costs to name a few hardly give them any room to talk about credibility or disgrace.
Let’s break this down, one at a time:
The Bush administration points on Iraq were nothing that the Clinton misadministration wasn’t saying all along. Do I really have to pony up with sKerry’s quotes on the point?
The Prescription Drug bill? Oh, please. You lefties have been making noise for years about this. And now, given the chance to get it going, you complain about the dollars not adding up to the claims… which still add up to less than Hillary was going to spend, even in raw dollars, much less adjustted for inflation? Comon, man… grow up.
And oh… this is rich…
As to his Rich Lowery quote referring to Richard Clarke, “Rarely has a former public servant with such a sterling reputation shot it all away so quickly” neither he or Lowery offers any supporting evidence that Clarke’s reputation has gone down the tank.
What did I call Clark? Another Liar?

I want to bring to your attention something on Limbaugh’s show of yesterday, to establish a point.
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Now, here’s Jim Angle on Fox yesterday. This was Special Report with Brit Hume. He’s explaining how the White House employed Fox to try and destroy the credibility of Richard Clarke. Here’s Jim Angle admitting that Fox doesn’t care a whit about the news, they’re simple tools of the White House.
ANGLE: Often White House officials speak on background, which means you can attribute it to a senior administration official.
HUME: But no name.
ANGLE: But no name. They do that for all sorts of reasons, often diplomatic niceties, because they don’t want to refer to another country. In this particular case, this was on background, there was an argument about the sourcing on this, it was five reporters who were on a conference call. At the time we argued about it, it was National Security Council spokesman who had insisted that it be on background. Clarke himself has spoken publicly about this frequently. The NSC insisted that had it be on background at the time, but let us identify him as a counterterrorism official.
HUME: And you found the tape and what happened?
ANGLE: I found the tape, went to them and said, “can we lift it?” They agonized over it for a while and finally said yes. So the same people that put the restrictions on are the people who lifted the restrictions.
HUME: And we didn’t use it until after the restrictions had been lifted?
ANGLE: That is that correct. And all the other reporters who were on that call were now told that the restrictions have been lifted.
RUSH: Yeah, and that’s the key, right there, all the reporters on that call. When is it that a reporter, I mean, folks, when’s the last time a reporter wants to suppress news? Well, I can answer that myself. Yeah, it’s bad question. I can answer that myself. No, this is classic. So all the reporters in this conference call that were on this session here with Clarke were given permission. None of them except Fox thought it was newsworthy. What does that tell you?
The reason I quote this passage of Rush’s show in such detail is to set up a point. It’s one I’ve made before, but this passage of Rush’s show yesterday points it up so well… Where are all the other “reporters” that were in on this conference call? All of THEM got clearance on using that transcript at the same time Angle did. Why was Angle alone in releasing it?
The reason is simple;
The left, of which the ‘mainstream’ news channels are a part, don’t WANT this story going out. Think I’m kidding? Look down the page a bit at the Ann Coulter bit I quoted yesterday.
It’s fortunate for us, that there are other avenues of news so we can get the complete picture.. The one the news media would rather we didn’t see.
It is those other choices for news, that are allowing us to see what the whole story is, that is causing the left so much problem. Fox News, and the web, are increasingly America’s source for news because, simply put, the American people don’t trust the so-called ‘mainstream press’ anymore. The Avalanche has started now, and the left cannot stop it.
To my fellow Bloggers, I will make the point that it’s you, and sites like Matt Drudge’s, and so on that are helping to win minds, as well. I will echo Matt Drudge’s point:
Unlike the old mainstream media, this new medium is beyond the controlling reach, and for most of it, beyond the very understanding of the left. For every lie that Kerry and his supporters lay on the American people and the world, there’s 10,000 Bloggers out there with search engines to call them on it… it’s happened time and again, and is in fact what has caused the wholly different dynamic to this election cycle.
As a result, you’re going to see them getting more and more desperate in their charges and their rethoric. We’ve already seen some of it, but I submit what we’ve seen so far is nothing as compared to what we will see between now and November ’04, as they see the chances of their regaining power going further and further out of reach.
The socialist left is losing, and will as a result ‘lose it’.
It’s our job, I think, to record this happening.
We’re already making it happen.
