So, Lindsey Graham’s come to the same conclusion that I did some time ago:
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is predicting that if the Democrats are unable to secure an early nomination for the presidency, it will lead to the demise of the party as it has been historically known.
“You’re seeing the demise of the Democratic Party that your grandfather and grandmother knew,” Graham told Fox News on Tuesday.
…
Graham argued with different Democrats winning in each early contest, it will make it hard for the Democrats to quickly nominate a candidate at their convention. “If you can’t find a nomination on the first round of voting, the Democratic Party as we know it is going to completely implode,” Graham reasoned.
All I can say is welcome to the party, Lindsay.
I said the other day that we were looking at the end of the Democrat Party.
Rich Lowry writes this morning:
The Democratic Party could soon be taken over by a leftist who has never formally been a member (even if he signed a pledge to govern as a Democrat should he make it to the White House).
If it’s any consolation to Democrats, it’s a version of the same wrenching dislocation that has beset the center-left throughout the Western world. One reason Bernie Sanders winning the Democratic nomination is entirely imaginable is that it wouldn’t be a freakish occurrence outside the experience of other advanced democracies. In fact, it would be entirely consistent with the travails of traditional center-left parties from France to Sweden.
…
Sanders bears the closest resemblance to his equally aged and disheveled ideological cousin from the United Kingdom — Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Lowry echoes my thought that this is a worldwide phenomenon.
What’s important however, is that Lowry confirms the suspicion I’ve had for some time, that this move of the Democrat Party here in the US, is towards its own destruction:
Seen from a broader perspective, Sanders doesn’t represent a revolution so much as a lagging indicator — indeed, the British Labour party has already been there, done that.
….
Sanders bears the closest resemblance to his equally aged and disheveled ideological cousin from the United Kingdom — Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
With Boris Johnson overwhelmingly defeating Jeremy Corbyn I think it’s fairly easy to determine what lies down that path for the left in this country.

While some will point to mini Mike Bloomberg as the answer to these foibles, I suggest the idea of electing another multi-billionaire to the White House is not going to fly with most of the extreme left, and the rest of us aren’t going to put up with his long long record of dictatorial ways. He he isn’t going to fly with either Republicans or with Independents.
Similarly, the Democrat party’s establishment choice, Joe Biden is creating about as much electoral excitement as watching paint dry. After two abysmal performances in the first two primaries… Well…
Let’s just say that it must be a real disappointment having your butt kicked buy an old communist, a gay guy, and a fake Indian. In short, Joe Biden got beat by the Village People.
Bottom line: The Democratic Party stands absolutely no chance for the next couple of elections, at least. America has always been a center-right country, certainly to a greater degree than the United Kingdom and yet look what happened in the United Kingdom.
Personally I’m making popcorn because the desperation we’re seeing out of the Democrats right now is why they’re acting as bat- dropping crazy as they are. It’s called desperation, folks.
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Bernie Sanders wins in New Hampshire. Also to the surprise of absolutely nobody, Joe Biden, the Establishment Democrat candidate, comes in at least 5th and probably sixth if the trends I’m seeing hold.
Let’s examine what’s going on here.
There is a rebellion against establishment politics that is nothing short of worldwide now, as I have suggested previously. Now, this also is happening within these United States and within both of its major political parties.

In this case, that means that the establishment picked candidate, Joe Biden goes down in the in a ball of fire that makes the Hindenburg look like a Zippo.
Before this happened, before any of the votes were counted last night, Joe Biden’s people were out there, talking about how if Biden didn’t pull this one out, it was a doomsday scenario for the Democrats.
Biden’s people have that one right, at least…. they know that anything being produced by the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party is never going to make it is a general election. It’s just not going to happen.
Let me explain it this way. Joe Biden is on record as saying that Mickey Mouse would have a reasonable shot against Donald Trump. I will be generous and call that idea arguable, but will also stay flatly that there isn’t a one of the democratic candidates that rises to the level of Mickey Mouse.
Remember my friends, it’s not just the establishment of the parties that are being rebelled against but the concept of big government itself.
The Democrat Party primary is being driven by the extreme left-wing of the party. That simply isn’t going to fly with the majority of the American people, particularly after the successes of the last several years. It’s just not going to happen.
The destruction of the Democratic Party is already well underway, and was pushed several miles down the road last night by the specter of an openly communist candidate winning in the “Live Free or Die” state. Anyone outside the Democratic party (and a good number of people inside it) are recoiling in horror at that image, and I’m telling you right now the Democrats won’t survive it.
Look, it shouldn’t surprise anybody at all the Obamas got this award. Let’s remember this is the guy that won the Nobel Peace prize without having accomplished anything at all. To this day nobody has ever been able to explain why the man was worthy of such an award.
I’ll tell you right now, the guy could produce a film with nothing but a white screen and could claim that the film was about polar bears in a blinding snowstorm, and he’d win an award for it.Now, if Donald Trump were to do that he’d be laughed out of the joint with about half the people saying that it was a white screen because Donald Trump is racist
… but because Obama is attached to this piece of garbage, the academy goes ahead and hands out an award. It’s not just Obama, of course.Liberal political figures have found Hollywood to be very willing to bestow accolades upon them. In fact, if you look at the Grammy nominations and winners for Best Spoken Word Album, you’ll find a lot of Democrat politicians and pundits have a knack for getting recognized, while their conservative counterparts don’t even get nominated. Nominees for Best Spoken Word Album include Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Al Franken, and Jesse Jackson. All of them won at least once. And, of course, Barack Obama has won two Grammy awards for Best Spoken Word Album, and Michelle Obama won her own Grammy a couple of weeks ago in the same category for her memoir, Becoming.Make no mistake, folks… Hollywood is not your friend.
Reports from China are not looking good… At least, the honest ones aren’t:
Chang, who authored the book “The Coming Collapse of China” claimed that local authorities have “just lost the ability to pick up corpses” due to a “breakdown in government.” “So really what we are having right now is, they are completely overwhelmed,” he added.
“They are not able to keep accurate statistics. So what we are witnessing is essentially a breakdown in government and keeping accurate statistics is a very minor part of their priorities right now.”
My friends, remember this when Bernie Sanders starts talking about “free healthcare for all.”
President Trump is making good on his promises to “drain the swamp” and cut Obama-era holdovers from his staffs, especially the critical and recently controversial National Security Council.
Officials confirmed that Trump and national security adviser Robert O’Brien have cut 70 positions inherited from former President Barack Obama, who had fattened the staff to 200.
[…]Since entering the White House, Trump has relied on staffs smaller than previous administrations and has noted how prior president’s had a much smaller NSC team.
O’Brien recently said that former President George W. Bush handled the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with 100 NSC aides, a model he is instituting.
Speaking of Pelosi , that specticle she and the House Democrats made of themselves at the State of the Union will, I think, be a very effective fundraiser for the GOP. Leaving aside the act of ripping up the speech after the fact, which was bad enough let’s look at the Democratic response to the rest of it:
- Lowest unemployment for blacks ever- Not Happy
- Working and off government assistance (which benefits us all) – Not Happy
- Bringing us back into alignment with the Constitution- Not Happy
- 2 year old girl, new chance at life – Not Happy
- Lowest ever disabled unemployment- Not Happy
- Honoring a legit, American hero – Not Happy
- Every human life is a gift from God – Not Happy
- Prison reform – Not Happy
- Bringing business back to the good ol’ USA & curbing foreign trade to our benefit – Not Happy
- Blue collar boom – Not Happy
- Curbing opioids – Not Happy
- Removing illegal aliens – Not Happy
- Curbing/ Ending Sanctuary Cities (to also protect us & help human trafficking) – Not Happy
- Millions coming off of food stamps – Not Happy
- Put America First – Not Happy
In short, the Democrats were not happy about Donald Trump actually accomplishing everything the Democrats said they wanted to do for the last 40 years.
I have been saying this since this website went active…
The worst thing you can do to a Democrat is provide a solution for his stated problem. The moment you do that is the moment that they lose their ability to demagogue the problem.
If this sham of an impeachment process didn’t lose the House and for that matter the White House for the Democrats of itself, add the optics of all of the above, and that’ll get the job done.
The first indication of the repercussions of all this was at the Iowa caucuses. You see, lost in the story there was the fact that there was a ‘lower-than-expected” turnout. In fact, it was downright abysmal.
With the last 3 years of intense promotion of the Democrat meme (which in fact the impeachment process has always been) they were expecting a record turnout along the lines of what they got in 2008. Instead what they got was the anemic turn out they got in 2016.

Then they made the optics worse by botching Iowa… and even worse yet when it was revealed that the application at the center of that foul- up was written by Hillary Clinton operatives.
I’ve spoken with a Republican insider in Iowa who tells me that the likelihood of there actually being underhanded dealings in that counting process are rather small given the level of the oversight of state election officials. He suggests that there is a huge amount of Democrat ineptitude responsible for what we saw, along with a voting process complexity to common core math look straightforward.
While I can certainly believe that the Democrats were inept and that this was at least part of the problem in Iowa,I can’t get over the feeling that there is something to that application written by Hillary Clinton’s people involved here. There is some serious investigation going on of the startup company responsible, which is apparently very mysterious indeed (called”Shadow”).
I’m hearing that Nebraska’s Democrats were planning on using that same application and have now suddenly decided they don’t want any part of it. Can’t imagine why.
However that works out though, watch closely for the turnout levels in New Hampshire on Tuesday. If we see reports of low turnouts there …(unexpectedly, of course, rather like Obama reports on the economy)… then we have a pretty good indication that the Democrats are unable to be able to mount any kind of serious challenge to the re-election of Donald Trump.
As a parting shot, I am hearing that the Democrats are requesting $50 million dollars for convention security. My first thought was that if you need that much money for security, maybe you ought to re-examine whether or not your positions are popular with the voters. But then it occurred to me that they could just go ahead and legislate a gun-free zone. It’s always worked before.
[Lieutenant Colonel] Alexander Vindman Is Escorted Out of the White House and Pearls Are Clutched
This was long overdue, although I understand why the President had to wait.
Alexander Vindman, perhaps the most insufferable, uselessly smug “witness” in the entire impeachment fiasco was fired from the NSC today and escorted out of the White House.
As a presidential advisor LTC was entitled to his opinion, and his input. However he was not entitled to conduct his own foreign policy. Did LTC Vindman, salute smartly, do an about face and exit?

Democratic hopeful Joe Biden slammed conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh as undeserving of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and criticized President Trump’s motives for awarding it at the State of the Union on Tuesday night.
Biden, speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper at a town hall event in New Hampshire on Wednesday, said Trump’s decision to award the highest civilian honor in the nation to Limbaugh was “driven more by trying to maintain [his] right-wing political credentials than it is anything else.”

Okay, Joe. You really have a problem with an elected official doing what the people want?
I know you would think having stuck his foot in his mouth he’d have the good sense to stop. But no, he then proceeds they keep pushing until he’s got his kneecap in there as well…
“I mean, if you read some of the things that Rush has said, about people, their backgrounds, their ethnicity, how he speaks to them… I don’t think he understands the American code of decency and honor,” Biden said. “But look, this is Donald Trump.”
Enter Monica Showalter, (who I don’t pay enough attention to, I think) over at American Thinker, who looks at this nonsense and in reaction breaks out the flamethrower:
Biden, man of Burisma, is lecturing Limbaugh on decency?
Same guy who fat-shamed an old farmer in Iowa? Same guy who merited a whole chapter on corruption in Peter Schweizer’s Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite? Same guy who mocked Indian-American gas station–owners’ accents, and called Barack Obama acceptable as a black president because he was “articulate and bright and clean”?
Same man who praised working side-by-side with racial segregationists? Same man who told a black audience Republicans are going to “put y’all back in chains”?
Same creepy Joe who can’t keep his hands off unwilling little girls? Same creepy Joe who skinny-dipped to the disgust of his Secret Service detail? Same creepy Joe who grabbed and groped a Nevada lieutenant gubernatorial candidate and other young women, and then made light of it as something from his “generation”?
Hearing any talk of “decency and honor” coming from this guy is utterly repulsive.
You know, it looks to me like Monica has almost the same amount of problems with Joe Biden that I do. She goes on from there, and it’s definitely worth a read.
The thing is of course, it’s not just Joe Biden that Americans find repulsive. It’s Congressional Democrats as well. But that’s another post.
However, the largest degree of success came from the fact that he correctly identified the mood of the rank-and-file American, and gave voice to it.
And then, encouraged those rank-and-file Americans to take on the sacrosanct status of big government, which the rank-and-file has never trusted but never had the voice, in majority, to fight against.

Even the GOP leadership was going along to get along and frankly they found that they loved the power of government too much to actually fight for what the people wanted.
In my view, Limbaugh’s greatest contribution was dismantling the inbred fear of another 1964 election. The fear of consequences for taking the liberal Democrats head on, and defeating them.
He also, (and I think this is crucial), pointed out the idea that there is no such thing as the political center and never has been.
I said back in 2015;
“The GOP establishment is deathly afraid of being seen as conservative, because they’re still shooting at the political center. Well, children, the political center is a myth. It does not exist in this country. Never has.
Consider the liberal reaction also to George W Bush, whom they compared to Adolf Hitler. And Bush wasn’t a conservative. Neither was his old man. Both of them wear at best centrists. Trust me when I tell you, that the left isn’t going to like this any less if we actually stand up for our beliefs.
Which brings me to my final point for this lesson. There’s a reason they don’t stand up for our beliefs, the leadership. It’s because they don’t believe in them. I’ll say this again, the GOP leadership needs to be replaced immediately.
We are now seeing indications that the GOP rank and file has had enough and is about to go nuclear on the leadership. 15 years ago I argued against such an eventuality. Its to the point now where I’m actually looking forward to it because I see it as the only way to save the GOP.”
Go nuclear they did, and Limbaugh, as much as any other factor is directly responsible for it, by simply pointing out that the left isn’t going to like us any less if we stand up for our beliefs with courage and conviction.
Freind Billy Beck mentioned the other day that we are looking at a total implosion for the Democrat Party:
Never before in my entire life has the prospect of the complete collapse of the Democratic Party seriously occurred to me.
They are going down to profound, historic defeat in eight months. The only serious question to me is how bad it’s going to be for them.
Do any of you suppose that situation would be coming about absent Rush Limbaugh digging in the Spurs for 30 years?
My largest wish, my strongest hope for this situation is that Limbaugh, if he can’t get his medical problems under control, at least lives long enough to see that implosion happen.
I’m going to make one more suggestion here. I suggested a few weeks ago that the anti-establishment politics that have taken hold so strongly here in the US are actually a worldwide phenomenon now.
We know that politics here in the states tends to affect politics elsewhere in the world. people around the world particularly those longing for freedom from an overbearing government look to the United States for examples on how to deal with things. They see us rejecting big government.
The election of Trump is a symptom of that, as is Boris Johnson winning in the UK… and what else can we call the humiliation French president macron has been suffering in France? What else can we call the protests in Hong Kong? What else can we call the rejection of the politics of Angela Merkel in Germany? I suggest these are all part and parcel of the same thing…
It seems a valid question in me to ask if the snowball that Rush Limbaugh started down the hill, isn’t affecting those situations as well.
With those ideas collectively, it seems to me that the presidential medal of freedom is the least that we can do as a nation to honor this man.
As the world bears witness tonight, America is a land of heroes. This is the place where greatness is born, where destinies are forged, and where legends come to life. This is the home of Thomas Edison and Teddy Roosevelt, of many great generals, including Washington, Pershing, Patton, and MacArthur. This is the home of Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman, the Wright Brothers, Neil Armstrong, and so many more. This is the country where children learn names like Wyatt Earp, Davy Crockett, and Annie Oakley. This is the place where the pilgrims landed at Plymouth and where Texas patriots made their last stand at the Alamo.
The American nation was carved out of the vast frontier by the toughest, strongest, fiercest, and most determined men and women ever to walk the face of the Earth. Our ancestors braved the unknown; tamed the wilderness; settled the Wild West; lifted millions from poverty, disease, and hunger; vanquished tyranny and fascism; ushered the world to new heights of science and medicine; laid down the railroads, dug out canals, raised up the skyscrapers — and, ladies and gentlemen, our ancestors built the most exceptional Republic ever to exist in all of human history. And we are making it greater than ever before.
Count the number of I’s.
Reaction on Iowa, from Conservative Tree House:
Joe Biden’s campaign is organized Astroturf, but he needs to keep up appearances. Warren and Buttigieg are inauthentic posers, but they need to hang around to pick up Biden’s supporters and keep Bernie in check. Meanwhile the DNC boardroom will do whatever is needed to try and forestall Sanders, and defend against a hostile takeover.
It’s going to get uglier.
Bernie supporters are eyes-wide-open. The DNC is playing with unstable explosives now.
Pass the popcorn.
It’s a little awkward but I would be remiss if I didn’t say that we need his voice now more than ever.
