Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez held a townhall. It did not go well. One of her constituents melted down and openly and loudly advocated for infanticide and cannibalism. For her part the Congressman stood there sucking on her thumb.

Eating our babies is not the answer. The constituent may well be two all beef patties short of a quarter pounder, but standing mute while one of
your constituents screams for infanticide and cannibalism is not leadership. It is not morally acceptable, from Twitter.
The poor constituent needs intervention. Whereas Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez needs to grow a back bone.

I was holding this one for I post of my own, but I can see this is falling off the radar already, so:

The Snark of the Day: J.J. Sefton, Ace of Spades:
Bernie’s condition is the perfect opportunity for him to go to Havana or Port-au-Prince for the world’s best free healthcare, but instead he pimps Medicare for All
A year ago, I posted this graphic incidental to the antics of the Democrats over the nomination of now Justice Brett Kavanaugh:

Forgive me, but I feel precisely the same way about whistleblowers.
Funny how so few have noticed the parallel.
I’ve been saying this for years but it appears at long last that others have started to figure this stuff out:
In 2018, according to Table R-1, American consumer units spent an average of $9,031.93 on federal income taxes; $5,023.73 on Social Security taxes (which the table calls “deductions”); $2,284.62 on state and local income taxes; $2,199.80 on property taxes; and $77.85 on what BLS calls “other taxes.”
The combined payments the average American consumer unit made for these five categories of taxes was $18,617.93.
At the same time the average American consumer unit was paying these taxes, it was spending $7,923.19 on food; $4,968.44 on health care; and $1,866.48 on “apparel and services.”
These combined expenditures equaled $14,758.11.
So, the $14,758.11 that the average American consumer unit paid for food, clothing and health care was $3,859.82 less than the $18,617.93 it paid in federal, state and local income taxes, property taxes, Social Security taxes and “other taxes.”
In reality however, that’s only part of the story. We are paying more even than that. Far more.

Let’s remember, shall we, that businesses get hit with higher taxes. These are companies and organizations that we do business with and who pass those higher taxes on to we, the consumer, in the form of higher prices.
I made the comment 20 years ago.. in this very blog… that 65% of our paychecks were going up for taxes or increased prices… Because of taxes and regulations on businesses.. I believe I called them unfunded mandates at the time… All at the hands of your “àbenevolent government”.
You know as well as I do that the situation has gotten dramatically worse since then.
And if you think that doesn’t affect the overall economy think again. I stipulate that the situation has improved in some small ways the last few years. And just look at the state of the economy versus what we were dealing with three years ago. Now, imagine with me the state of the economy, after even half of the taxing and spending the government is doing were removed from our backs.
As for the proximate cause of our inability to solve this problem, consider the push back from the big government Democrats, to anyone who dares to try shrink government.
Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan, and yes, Donald Trump as three examples.
Blond Squaw b/k/a Elizabeth Warren is not the favor democrat to take the nomination. Slow Joe, Joseph Biden, got nailed as a liar.

A 2014 photo has emerged of Joe Biden (second from right) and his son, Hunter (far right), golfing in the Hamptons with Devon Archer (far left), a Ukrainian gas company executive. Archer served on the board of Burisma Holdings with Hunter
In other news, Comrade Bernardo, a/k/a Bernie Sander, is off the campaign trail for what the lame stream media is not calling a heart attack. Maybe Bernardo got two stents for a version Mrs. Clinton’s campaign flue.
Maybe Blonde Squaw will not get the nomination, but the race is hers to lose.
Matt Margolis says, in part;
On Wednesday, the New York Times published the bombshell report that Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, “learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint.”
It was widely believed that the whistleblower had received significant help in crafting the complaint, and this report appears to confirm that he or she did, along with information about where that help came from.
The early account by the future whistle-blower shows how determined he was to make known his allegations that Mr. Trump asked Ukraine’s government to interfere on his behalf in the 2020 election. It also explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it.
Before going to Congress, the C.I.A. officer had a colleague convey his accusations to the agency’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that avenue for airing his allegations was unfolding, the officer then approached a House Intelligence Committee aide, alerting him to the accusation against Mr. Trump. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.
The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff. The aide did not share the whistle-blower’s identity with Mr. Schiff or anyone else, an official said.
Given the 60-year history of Democrats and their habitual impeachment attempts against every Republican president since Eisenhower, and given the lying that Adam Schiff has already been caught up in, we are going to find out that he’s always known who this so-called whistleblower is.
Matt goes on;
When former CIA officer and National Security Agency Chief of Staff Fred Fleitz read the whistleblower report, he said it appeared the whistleblower had help from congressional Democrats in crafting the complaint. “From my experience, such an extremely polished whistleblowing complaint is unheard of. This document looks as if this leaker had outside help, possibly from congressional members or staff,” Fleitz said. “Moreover, it looks like more than a coincidence that this complaint surfaced and was directed to the House Intelligence Committee just after Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), an outspoken opponent of President Trump, expressed numerous complaints in August 2019 accusing President Trump of abusing aid to Ukraine to hurt Joe Biden. This includes an August 28 tweet that closely resembled the whistleblowing complaint.”
The fact is, this is going to go a lot deeper then just Quid Pro Quo Joe. A LOT deeper.

Notice, please, that this push for impeachment from the Democrats was in direct response to the idea that investigations into the Democrats corruption in the Ukraine were going to happen. You see, indications are Paul Pelosi (yes, Nancy’s kid) is up to his armpits in that corruption along with Hunter Biden. Ol’ Nancy hit the panic button when she found out. So, suddenly, after months of saying impeachment is not the way to go, Nancy Pelosi is on board with the rest of the Democrat nutcases.
And as I said the other day, the speed with wish this stuff is being laid on, is suggestive of cockroaches scurrying for cover when the light gets turned on.
I indulge myself by taking Mrs. Clinton’s words at face value, PJ Media:
“I think the gutsiest thing I’ve ever done … Personally, make the decision to stay in my marriage. Publicly, politically, run for president,”
And this is from the same women who claimed to have faced sniper fire. Oh just maybe Mrs. does believe that Arkancide is real?
Has Mrs. Clinton turned over a new leaf and toned down her lust to get a second chance at the White House china? I suggest no. Yet Mrs. Clinton apparent gesture towards Slow Joe, Joseph Biden(creep – Delaware) could be seen as sign of Christian charity. Then it could be an Clinton style attempt throw a downing candidate yet another rock, from Sangeeta Singh-Kurtz, Cut:
f you’ve been a victim of one of Joe Biden’s creepy kisses, massages, nuzzles, or hand-grabs, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has a thought: Just get over it! In an interview with People, Clinton claimed that she’d “heard a little bit about” Biden’s widely reported and well-documented history of inappropriate touching.
Clinton referred to the behavior as “a little annoying habit,” suggesting that a) the criticism of Biden’s inappropriate touching is the result of the kind of overzealous media fixation faced by all presidential hopefuls, and that b) there are worse things happening in the White House:
There is only room for one supposed moderate on the democrat debate stage.
The Snark of the Day, Joseph Biden, a/k/a Slow Joe, is running to be the elected leader of the free world. Yet for a leader, Slow Joe doesn’t show much, if any, courage. From Mary Chastain, Legal Insurrection:
Giuliani appeared on CBS and ABC on Sunday morning. Those networks asked Biden to come on the shows, but he refused. The campaign suggested national co-chairman Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA), but the networks said
Instead of hiding, why doesn’t Biden face the music?
Slow Joe needs to either lead, follow get out to the way. Does he imagine he can get debate moderators to declare all embrassing question off-limits?
The Washington Times is telling us:
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said Sunday the committee is moving forward with its impeachment inquiry into President Trump and will hear from the inspector general again this week, as well as five State Department officials.
He also said he is negotiating with the whistleblower’s attorneys so the committee can hear directly from the analyst who accused the president of pressuring a foreign government to probe his potential 2020 rival, Joseph R. Biden.
Look… First of all, Adam Schiff has absolutely no credibility whatsoever after literally years of lying to Congress and the American people about evidence he was supposedly in possession of, but never produced.
As to this particular, the claim is that they are taking so long to produce this witness because they need to “Protect their identity”.
One can certainly understand that need, after, for example, the accusers of Justice Kavanaugh were investigated and thereby discredited. Take Christine Ford, for example.

Her own history and connections completely discredited her.
A few examples from her record:
Her grandfather, Nicholas Deak, was a well-known CIA agent for decades. Her father Ralph Blasey Jr., Rlran 3 different CIA front companies… Datawatch, Redcoats, Inc, and Admiral security systems… And her brother worked for Baker Hostetler which was the firm which created Fusion GPS, and the dossier used to start the Russian collusion hoax.
One one can certainly understand why the Democrats would be reluctant to expose their supposed “whistleblower” to any kind of scrutiny.
At at this point it seems an even-money bet that it’s more of the smoke and mirrors we’ve come to expect from Shiff… And it’s my read we’re going to see him backing off this very soon.
Eric’s point about Mrs. Clinton preparing to waddle back into the presidential arena may be a good one. Granted, their is no room for Mrs. Clinton as long as Slow Joe Biden campaign remains on life support. However Slow Joe’s life support is not looking that good right now.
President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudi Guiliani, goes on This Weak with George Stephanopoulos makes the host look like a bottom of his class lawyer from Syracuse Law School, video:
So what does Slow Joe do? He panics, from, Last Refuge:
Joe Biden’s presidential campaign made an extraordinary request to executives of top news channels on Sunday, asking them to no longer book Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on their programs.
[…] “We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation,” the letter from top aides Anita Dunn and Kate Bedingfield reads.
“We write to demand that in service to the facts, you no longer book Rudy Giuliani, a surrogate for Donald Trump who has demonstrated that he will knowingly and willingly lie in order to advance his own narrative.
Slow Joe tries is Ukraine style shut down threat on the lame stream media. Slow Joe is facing a debate he can not win. So tries his Greta Thunberg and throws a temper tantrum.
The trend continues:
The wild-child niece of former Veep Joe Biden stole more than $100,000 in a credit card scam — and quietly cut a plea deal in Manhattan court that spares her any jail time, The Post has learned.
This has taken on the feel of an orchestrated attack.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton rises from the dead.

“Lenin regarded all interactions as zero-sum. To use the phrase he made famous, the fundamental question is always ‘Who Whom?’—who dominates whom, who does what to whom, ultimately who annihilates whom. To the extent that we gain, you lose. Contrast this view with the one taught in basic microeconomics: whenever there is a non-forced transaction, both sides benefit, or they would not make the exchange. For the seller, the money is worth more than the goods he sells, and for the buyer the goods are worth more than the money. Lenin’s hatred of the market, and his attempts to abolish it entirely during War Communism, derived from the opposite idea, that all buying and selling is necessarily exploitative. When Lenin speaks of ‘profiteering’ or ‘speculation’ (capital crimes), he is referring to every transaction, however small. Peasant ‘bagmen’ selling produce were shot.
“Basic books on negotiation teach that you can often do better than split the difference, since people have different concerns. Both sides can come out ahead—but not for the Soviets, whose negotiating stance John F. Kennedy once paraphrased as: what’s mine is mine; and what’s yours is negotiable. For us, the word ‘politics’ means a process of give and take, but for Lenin it’s we take, and you give. From this it follows that one must take maximum advantage of one’s position. If the enemy is weak enough to be destroyed, and one stops simply at one’s initial demands, one is objectively helping the enemy, which makes one a traitor. Of course, one might simply be insane. Long before Brezhnev began incarcerating dissidents in madhouses, Lenin was so appalled that his foreign minister, Boris Chicherin, recommended an unnecessary concession to American loan negotiators, that he pronounced him mad—not metaphorically—and demanded he be forcibly committed. ‘We will be fools if we do not immediately and forcibly send him to a sanatorium.’
“Such thinking automatically favors extreme solutions. If there is one sort of person Lenin truly hated more than any other, it is—to use some of his more printable adjectives—the squishy, squeamish, spineless, dull-witted liberal reformer. In philosophical issues, too, there can never be a middle ground. If you are not a materialist in precisely Lenin’s interpretation, you are an idealist, and idealism is simply disguised religion supporting the bourgeoisie.”
Sounds exactly like the Democrat party since Woodrow Wilson, doesn’t it?
They are starting to get chilly outside,

The leaves are changing and we are busy watching the bonfire of the Democrats.
* The Democrats have spent the last couple of decades at least telling us that greed, guns, and prisons are what’s wrong with America. Then they tell us we should give them our guns and money, or get sent to prison.
* The same people that say all the allegations against Hillary Clinton over the past 48 years are meaningless, despite piles of evidence that support the allegations, because she was never found guilty of anything in court… now insist that any accusation against Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh is proof of guilt despite no evidence of any kind that supports the accusations.
* I made reference the other day to what finally pushed Nancy Pelosi over the impeachment edge. I was reminded earlier today that was only part of the issue. It turns out Paul Pelosi, the Speaker’s son was also in the Ukraine at the time Quid pro quo Joe Biden’s kid was… We know Joe Biden threatened to Ukraines funding if they didn’t fire the prosecutor looking into Hunter Biden’s criminality. Joe Biden bragged about it. Now we see Pelosi acting to protect her kid from a corruption investigation. Clearly, someone does not want the Democrat/Ukrainian connection investigated. I can’t imagine why. 😒
* Speaking of the impeachment hearings, the Democrats are certainly in a hurry. I’m seeing increasing references to very few hearings being held at all. The increasing speed with which this garbage is moving is suggestive of cockroaches running for cover when the light gets turned on.
