Kurt Schlichter is on fire:

The Democrats are in a quandary. They can’t live with Russiagate and they can’t live without it. This is what happens when you get stuck because the quicksand you’re currently trapped in is less quick and less sandy than the quicksand you’d be stepping into.

What the Blue Dork Dems would like to do is change the subject, but of course that would mean talking policy and popular policies are not the Democrats’ strong suit. There is just not a lot of enthusiasm out there in America for a bunch of schemes that generally involve Democrat-disfavored people like you and me paying our hard-earned money to subsidize Democrat-favored demographics like illegal aliens, shiftless bums, snooty academics and militant Maoist pottery majors.”

Add to that, Trump forcing the Democrats to defend slugs like Elijah Cummings, Al Sharpton, and the leadership in Baltimore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City Etc, and the idea that the Democrat Party still can’t get over the idea that Hillary Clinton lost the election, it wasn’t stolen from her…. The public weariness of the Democrats efforts to reverse the election…. and you have a Democrat party that has all the electoral attractiveness of an under- maintained porta- potty.

It’s interesting watching the reaction of the Democrat leadership as they begin to understand that’s the situation they’re in is of their own making…. and yet deciding that disavowing the policies that got them into this situation in the first place, is too high a price to pay for solving the problem.

BALTIMORE (WBFF) – A rat was seen running through a FOX45 reporter’s live shot during a story on President Trump’s tweet Baltimore is rat-infested.

Personally, I can’t wait to see the Democrats defending the rat population. (video at the link)

VDH, on the far left and its headlong rush back towards identity politics:

The new racism is epidemic among those in the so-called squad, the self-referenced nickname for four media-obsessed, first-term congressional representatives, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who without their daily charges of bias largely would be unknown back-benchers laboring away in obscurity.

Take Pressley’s recent formulation of the new racism at a recent Netroots Nation conference:

If you’re not prepared to come to that table and represent that voice, don’t come, because we don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice. If you’re worried about being marginalized and stereotyped, please don’t even show up because we need you to represent that voice.

In sum, Pressley just outlined the classic anti-Enlightenment mindset: we are all permanent captives of our superficial race, religion, and sexual orientation. We must at all times think, act, and speak in such tribal fashion—and do so monolithically and collectively, in adopting the party line as set down by such elites as those like Pressley herself.

Blacks who oppose affirmative action, or Muslims who recognize Israel, or “queers” whose sexual preferences are incidental, not essential to their personas are thus declared not authentic and thus not to be welcomed by Pressley into the new racialist Democratic Party.

In practical terms, Pressley assumes that whites, reportedly about 70 percent of the population, tune her logic out. That is, they should never take her own racist advice and vote en masse according to their superficial shared skin color. If they did, the 55 percent of actual voters who are white in her otherwise minority-majority congressional district might never have elected someone who, according to her own rationale, is not part of their own tribe.

Look, it’s always been the case that the first thing that the left wants to do is separate us out one from the other.

Look closely however at what’s she saying here. You are supposed to think according to her, along the lines of your physical characteristics. Including, race.

Funny part is, whatever that happens to be, it always boils down to your supposed to think like a Democrat.

What they don’t seem to understand is that their activities are making the walkaway movement ever larger… And that these racist excesses that the left has been displaying lately is exactly what they claim to be fighting against.

So, deBlasio says Trump isn’t welcome back to New York?
(Ha!)

For de Blasio to celebrate Trump coming back to New York he’d have to come back as an illegal alien.

How could you have put a mental defective like Bill de Blasio in Gracie Mansion?

Don’t worry, DiBlasio, you magnificent moron… by the time Trump leaves office, you will have been gone for at least a couple of years, possibly taking up residence on Rikers island.

The Staple Singers:

Keep talking about the government won’t stop air pollution…

Put your hand over your mouth when you cough… that’ll help the solution.

Much has been said recently about the problems of Baltimore. Crime, filth, rats, vermin.

President Trump’s comments as regards the district that Elijah Cummings represents are spot-on but don’t reveal the heart of the problem, and certainly don’t touch on the real causes of the problem. And I say that based on having driven through the place many times.

As for Elijah Cummings himself, one group that’s made notice of his misdeeds is the IRS. But is he directly to blame for the problems in Baltimore?

For that matter, what of the other cities around the country that are, as the graphic below suggests, having almost uniformly the same problems?

Here’s the thing; is the fact that Democrats have been in charge of a city for many years, the cause of these issues? Or is what we’re seeing a representation of the values of the people that elected those Democrats?

You see, if we accept the idea that Democrats in government is the proximate cause for the problems in our cities including Baltimore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Etc., We ignore the idea that people tend to vote for people and ideas that most closely resemble their own. We also ignore the responsibilities of the individual to solve the problems in their areas….these are problems that government cannot solve. They can only be solved at the individual level.

You see, I will accept for the sake of argument the idea that Democrats having the power of government in their hands accelerates these processes. But what started these places, on the path to the place where they are now?

The answer is the prevailing attitudes, the cultural values of the people that elected those Democrats in the first place. Again, they elected those Democrats because they most closely represented their attitudes, their cultural values.

When President Trump commented on the state of Baltimore the other day, the immediate knee- jerk response was “Trump is a racist”.

The fact of the matter is that even Baltimore’s former mayor made mention of the problems there. She of course was immediately silenced by The usual suspects, despite her being a racial minority. Bernie Sanders did too, in the last presidential election.

The response to those comments takes on an air of someone who has been personally maligned. the reason is because it’s their cultural values that are being backhanded, not their government per se, at an instinctive level at least, people in the cities understand this. That’s why they’re taking it personally.

I’ve been saying for a long time now that 99% of what gets passed off as racism is actually cultural in nature not race-based. One need look no further for proof of this idea then the recent exchange about Baltimore.

These places continually elect Democrats because Democrats most closely represent their cultural values. Destructive as Democrats are, the real issue here is the culture of the people that elect them. This has nothing whatsoever to do with race except on a secondary level.

Cultural values.

There’s your root cause, of crime, poverty Etc., in America’s cities.

# in that hearing the other day, Robert Mueller suggested that a president can be indicted after he leaves office. He then walked that back. But since then people like Ted Lu and Nadler have been going absolutely crazy with the idea. I wonder if they’ve considered the idea that that leaves open a path to indicting Barack Hussein Obama.

# I see Jeffrey Epstein is on a suicide watch. I can’t imagine why. But imagine this… Given Vince Foster, can you think of anybody that would like to help keep him alive, when one of Hillary Clinton’s minions stops by, just to see how old Jeff is doing?

#Billy Beck says:

Nadler: a four day-old creme donut looking for a mouth.

Yeah, pretty much.

The Washington Times lays this out, pretty well..

“There were some House Republicans in our prep sessions patting themselves on the back about that and feeling optimistic about assertions he might not be all there,” Mr. Gaetz told The Washington Times.

He said he didn’t believe those colleagues and warned them to expect a razor-sharp witness, but “it turned out the rumors we’ve been hearing about his condition seemed accurate.”

“I told my colleagues to expect him to be like a wolverine and they’d better know every chapter and verse and citation for every question,” he said

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican who wasn’t part of the questioning of Mr. Mueller, said he was aware of the lawyer’s frailty ahead of the hearing.

“I know he’s in a weakened condition,” Mr. Graham told The Times.

He said the Democrats never should have pressured Mr. Mueller to testify, given “his condition.”

“He’s an American patriot. He was wounded in Vietnam. He served as FBI director after 9/11. I am very upset that [Democrats] would put him in that spot. It was clear to me based on common friends that he’s in a weakened condition, and what happened was really over the top,” Mr. Graham said

But here’s the key…. if Lindsey Graham knew all of this, it’s a lock- sure bet the Democrats knew about it, too. That, dear reader, we can take as solid indication of just how desperate the Democrats are these days.

They knew his testimony was problematic and yet they put him up there anyway because they didn’t have anything else to go with.

And to the point I made yesterday about this being a Weinstein driven investigation instead of a Mueller driven investigation, this I take as proof of that supposition. The kind of metal frailty that we saw in front of those committees yesterday does not happen overnight. Robert Mueller was suffering with that frailty for at least a goodly portion of his special counsel tenure. Which in turn explains the content of the Mueller report. Led by Weinstein, the 26 Democrat operatives under him were unfettered by anything resembling truth. They were able to operate under the guise of an investigation to hammer home (they assumed) the concept that the only reason Hillary Clinton lost the election was because of Russian interference…. Forgetting that the Russians have been trying to interfere with our elections since 1917…(and given the election of Woodrow Wilson probably succeeded back then)

I am willing, at this point, to accept the idea that Robert Mueller was above board and served his country faithfully when he had the mental capacity to do so, but I am thoroughly convinced at this point that the Democrats took advantage of that credibility to push their own agenda.

If you needed to see the kind of people that the Democrats really are, you need look no further than this scenario.

* Our supposed mainstream media covered Mueller’s testimony for 7 hours straight, nonstop. Yet covering the salute to America on July 4th in DC was too time-consuming for them.

* For all the coverage that they gave the Mueller fiasco, they somehow didn’t bother making much out of this:

Stefanik: Did you read the Steele Dossier?

Mueller: I’m not going to answer that.

* In Cuomo’s NY…cat declawing is cruel, brutal, and now illegal in NY. Late term abortions of innocent babies is legal and A-OK.

* Never forget that the DPRK would not exist absent Chinese Communist money and therefore North Korea’s actions on the world stage would not exist without Chinese Communist direction. If you want to know why Donald Trump is playing hardball with China on an economic level, you need to look no further the actions of little gargoyle, Kim Jeong Un. None of the usual suspects seem to understand this relationship.

* Jeffrey Epstein is known to have donated at least $80,000 through the 90s to Democrat Party causes. what is the Democrat Party going to return that money?

* The Democrats at the hearings yesterday seemed to be quite upset with the idea that some of trumps team was attempting to make money in their dealings. They act as if they’ve never heard of the Clinton foundation.

It has been long suspected and openly discussed that former Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, b/k/a Fearless Leader, did not write the report which bears his name, from the New York Slimes via Ace:

Soon after the special counsel’s office opened in 2017, some aides noticed that Robert S. Mueller III kept noticeably shorter hours than he had as F.B.I. director, when he showed up at the bureau daily at 6 a.m. and often worked nights.
He seemed to cede substantial responsibility to his top deputies, including Aaron Zebley, who managed day-to-day operations and often reported on the investigation’s progress up the chain in the Justice Department. As negotiations with President Trump’s lawyers about interviewing him dragged on, for example, Mr. Mueller took part less and less, according to people familiar with how the office worked.
That hands-off style was on display Wednesday when Mr. Mueller testified for about seven hours before two House committees. Once famous for his laserlike focus, Mr. Mueller, who will turn 75 next month, seemed hesitant about the facts in his own 448-page report. He struggled at one point to come up with the word “conspiracy.”

It is apparent that Mueller investigation was incapable keeping a secret. Even the low level minions felt free to blab more details about the inner working of the investigation than their purported boss, Fearless Leader, was will to tell Congress. Perhaps because unlike Fearless Leader, the minions actually knew the details.

As the liberal paper of record, the Slimes feels free to throw Fearless Leader under the bus, the ‘rats are done with him. So question, how long did the Slimes know that Mueller was incompetent and and sit on the story?

Eric Florack on July 24th, 2019

Well, now America has a pretty good idea of why Robert Mueller was reluctant to answer questions when the Mueller report first dropped. It also knows why he wasn’t interested in coming in to testify.

Robert Mueller showed himself to be disconnected from his own report, and quite possibly disconnected from an understanding of what planet he’s on.

(How in the bleep can you not know who Fusion GPS is?)

Robert Mueller spent most of his time referring questions back to the report that he signed off on, apparently desperately afraid to contradict anything in the report he signed off on already, but for whatever reason, didn’t remember.

This leads to the conclusion that the Mueller report was a staff driven investigation not a Mueller driven investigation. Specifically, this means, as I’ve suggested already Andrew Weissman and his band of Democrat operatives.

The two volumes are so wildly different with volume two going so far out of line, I am forced to believe that there are two people responsible for the individual volumes.

As an example, the last paragraph of volume two draws the conclusion that they can neither prove nor deny that crimes were committed by Trump and his organization, but that’s not a conclusion that a prosecutor would draw. Indeed, publicizing such a conclusion is precisely against the special counsel statute.

A prosecutor would know full well if there’s nothing that you can indict a person on, you simply hold your silence.

The thing is, Mueller knows this and would instinctively react that way. I am convinced now that volume two was written by his chief of staff, Andrew Weissman, and his thirty some odd Democrat operatives which made up Mueller’s supposed “dream team”. Andrew Weissman is known as a wildly partisan critter around Washington and what is in volume two would be consistent with that positioning.

Robert Mueller has a reputation of being a pretty sharp guy, but based on what we saw in both hearings today, those days are behind him.

It’s logical to ask, however painful for the Democrats this may be, how long this is been going on, and whether or not the signs of age that we were witness to today, affected the investigation and the report and allowed it to lean toward more partisan goals than the seeking of Truth.

it’s my guess that the Democrats at this point are regretting dragging his backside in, because of the damage he’s managed to do to their arguments.

Donald Trump occasionally overstates his case but his remarks about today’s proceedings are spot-on. It’s such a disaster for the Democrats.

Craig Keeley notes in my Facebook feed this morning:

Tomorrow morning, St Robert of Mueller, he of the probity &etc., goes before two committees of Congress to speak about his much-ballyhooed Russia probe for the second and third times since he said he would never do such a thing.

Did I miss anything?

Well, no, the best thing I can say is that the only thing you missed is the desperation on the part of the Democrats.

What in the world do they say they’re going to get out of this?

Matt Margolis lists a few questions that the Republicans should be asking Mueller.

Attention, Cuomo the lesser:

Going without disposable plastic entirely would leave us worse off, so we need to tackle the problems without losing all of the benefits.

The simplest action for consumers is to ensure that plastic is collected and used, so a grocery bag, for example, has a second life as a trash bag, and is then used for energy.

Read the whole thing.

You see, I remember when the enviro wackjobs were telling us that paper bags were killing off trees and that was the big problem and plastic bags were the solution.
