Ann Coulter has her doubts about Mark Felt’s claim of being ‘Depp Throat”
Deep Throat was a smoker and heavy drinker, neither of which describes Mark Felt.
Woodward claimed he signaled Deep Throat by moving a red flag in a flowerpot to the back of his balcony and that Deep Throat signaled him by drawing the hands of a clock in Woodward's New York Times.
But in his 1993 book, "Deep Truth: The Lives of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein," Adrian Havill did something it had occurred to no one else to do: He looked at Woodward's old apartment!
She goes on with a number of other facts, and then quips:
We might have known all this before 1993 if America's ever-vigilant watchdog media had been, say, half as skeptical of Bob Woodward's claims as they were of Juanita Broaddrick's.
Yeah, well, you wouldn’t want them to like, actually do their JOB or anything, huh?
These doubts play right into what I said the other day about Felt being lionized by the left including the MSM, and why…
It doesn’t take a great deal of imagination to see that what this is all about is ‘positioning’.
Set up a bad cop, as a hero, because he took down a sitting second term, moderate Republican president.
Why? So you can get someone to come forward and bring down… facts or no… a sitting second term moderate Republican president. So that there’s PRECIDENT for a corrupt political activist, being treated like a hero, for taking down a second term moderate Republican president. It’s called self-justificaion.
So not only do we know their goals for spreading their myth of Watergate, but we also catch them lying like a bearskin rug to support their myth.

Ignore of course, the headline suggesting the grades were at par with each other. Ignore the left’s mantra of Bush is an idiot….Toys in the Attic points out a report in the Globe, wherein the actual grades show Kerry a worse student by far at Yale, than were George W. Bush’s.
Oh… and one point he doesn’t mention… the class Kerry did best in: French.
Ya can’t WRITE this stuff….

The JunkYardBlog notes that the ACLU is shredding documents.
Apparently, transparency is only good if it’s Republicans.
Better to go read this one.

"What do legal activists and the courts really have in store for marriage? The movement for same-sex marriage is a critically important part of the picture, but far from the whole of it. The larger goal of our social activists and legal elites is to effectively eliminate the institution of marriage-to "de-normalize" it"

As rancid as this bit of filth, Dean, is,… will someone plase explain to me how this is any different from the remainder of the Democrat party? They can make tha the noises they want about seperating themselves from this puke… but when I see Reid and Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi making the same sort of comments, the question needs to be asked, will we see the rank and File Democrats backing off Reid and Clinton and Pelosi, too? I doubt it.

Thomas P. Cadmus at WorldNetDaily today:
Here's a riddle: How do you get the American Civil Liberties Union to stop defending terrorists? Tell the ACLU that the detainees are really Boy Scouts.
(Chuckle)
It’s true, though. The ACLU is no freind of America.

"What was wrong with this anti-war movement? Very simple - the values it reaffirms: America is a shameful country doing evil things. Their opposition to our involvement was meant to demoralize and demonize our country so that we would not have the spiritual strength to fight in the future. And this is the essence of the opposition today. Forget all the details that are offered - it isn't about the practical advantage of having a few more troops from France. Forget all the arm-chair generals - it isn't about effective post-war management. Forget all the conspiracy theorists - it isn't some hidden motive of a secretive neo-con cabal. The driving force of the opposition is a deep moral antipathy to our country's values and a desire to harm our ability to rally our people to fight for those values now and in the future."
Amen and Amen.

Marginal Revolution… always worth a read, has up within the last few days, a writeup on race and perceptions. THe writeup, while not directly saying so, goes a long way to confirming my repeated assertion that the problems of equality are not about race nearly as much as they are about culture.
Go and read, and follow the links there, too.

Today’s winner is actually an older post, found while re-visting Fran Porretto @ Eternity Road:
"You want to celebrate Kwanzaa? What does it matter that Fran Porretto thinks you're a bleeding idiot who's been duped by an FBI stooge? Go ahead, make a fool of yourself.
You want to celebrate Puerto Rican Day? What does it matter that Fran Porretto thinks you're a benighted fool who's forgotten why you, or your parents, left that mildew-infested rock for a decent life in America? Go ahead, pretend you hail from Paradise.
You want to celebrate your 'gay pride'? What does it matter that Fran Porretto thinks you've got your head up your ass, along with other organs of discretionary deployment? Go ahead, pretend there's something about homosexual sodomy to be proud of.
I won't try to shut you down, no matter how silly I think you are. I just won't participate, as is my right. "

Bunker Mulligan has passed on… a heart attack. Sad; I rather liked his work.
Stop by and drop the family a note.

Did you see this on Britt last night?
Jackson’s Junction has the video. That this was let past, unchallanged should end once and for all the claim that Fox is sheilding President Bush.
I must say I am disappointed at Britt and the boys (Fred and Mort) for not raking her over the coals on this one. The number being investigated, to my memory is 20 or 21. I doubt it’s THAT high, once the investigations are completed.
Am I defending such actions? Of course not. But, look, there’s something called PERSPECTIVE. We’re talking about MILLIONS being liberated. I’d say that’s a bigger story than a few misguided numbnuts, making some killers pose for pictures. I’d say that should be taken more seriously than claims about abuse form people who have been trained to make such claims. (And we have their training documents proving this, don’t forget)

WorldNetDaily is among those quoting Hillary Clinton yesterday:
"I know it's frustrating for many of you; it's frustrating for me: Why can't the Democrats do more to stop them?" she continued to growing applause and cheers. "I can tell you this: It's very hard to stop people who have no shame about what they're doing. It is very hard to tell people that they are making decisions that will undermine our checks and balances and constitutional system of government who don't care. It is very hard to stop people who have never been acquainted with the truth."
Gee, gang. Sounds to me like Howard Dean and Hillary Clinton have gotten into the same locoweed. Clearly, she’s forgotten about lying under oath and getting Bubba’s getting impeeched for lying, and about her own fundraisers and whatnot.
Then she goes off the deep end. You KNOW she’s smoking somehting shen she tries to accuse the Press of sheilding the Republicans:
"The press is missing in action, with all due respect," she said. "Where are the investigative reporters today? Why aren't they asking the hard questions? It's shocking when you see how easily they fold in the media today. They don't stand their ground. If they're criticized by the White House, they just fall apart. I mean, c'mon, toughen up, guys, it's only our Constitution and country at stake," she said. "Let's get some spine."
You mean like they didn’t investigate your fundraisers, Hillary?
So let’s see what we’ve got here;
We’ve got half the Democrat party making uncomfortable noises about Howard Dean’s sounding like this. Now, we’ve got Hillary Clinton, their assumptive upper half of the White House ticket for ’08, soundling like she’s taking cues from Dean.
One is left with the question of how long rank and file Democrats who have been wanting Dean’s head on a platter, aren’t now going to be after Hillary’s… and for the same reason.
