Ace of Spades HQ got the interview with Jeff Gannon I’d been trying to get.

InstaGlenn and darned near everyone else, apparently, has within the last hour, posted a link to CNET NEWS, who seemingly is all concerned about the FEC imposing themslves on the internet.

I’m skeptical about the whole thing, but am watching.

I said yesterday hte global flyer wouldn’t. Well, no… their crew said that.
Now, they’re singing a more hopeful tune.

Ace of Spades HQ posts a story this morning that causes me some wonde on that point.  Ace cites a conrtoversy at Harvard, wherein the “Gay” lesbian transexual “community” has got itself all up in arms because someone spoke words to the effect that that women could have, should they desire such, husbands and babies as well as a career.

This, they say, causes people to regard hetrosexuality as ‘normal’.

There is, apaprently, no end to the depths of stupidity that extremists will go to.

As the name “BitHead” implies, I’m in computer services. Specificly, I support several hundred servers in a financial environment. Suffice it to say that I make out fairly well, financially. Indeed, you’re already soaking me for half of my income to pay for socialist programs.  Like those foodstamps you’ve been selling for beer, for example. I could tell you more, but I’d have to make the rest of your body equal to your brain. (Hint: I’d have to kill you)

3. Do you have like any experience in journalism, idiot?

Does broadcasting (radio) count? Like…. (Slap)

4. Do you even read newspapers?

Nah. Not worth my time, though I do get some from the recycle center to line my birdcages with. Why should I pay to get lied to? I haven’t done that since I was dating. At least in those days, I got some enjoyment out of the deal once in a while.

5. Do you watch any other news than FOX News propaganda, you ignorant fool?

First, Fox News isn’t propaganda, though CNN, CBS NBC and ABC are, along with MSNBC and a few others. Apparently, you’re among the few to have not figured that part out, bright boy. Have you not noticed who is number one and pulling away in the ratrings? Apparently not everyone shares your view about what constitutes news and what constitutes propganda. And given your attitude, I doubt you can make much of a case that you’re smarter than they.

6. I bet you’re some moron talk radio listener too, huh?

Sure. But I’ve been on the other side of that mike too.. and I’ll bet it’s for longer than you’ve been wasting air.

7. So, do you get a fax from the GOP each day for what to say, you @#$% Republican parrot?

No. my hitcounters tell me that they read ME, however. And unlike you, they actually LISTEN to me. I suppose that’s because they limit themselves to people with actual brainpower.

8. Why do you and your blogger friends want to silence and fire everyone who disagrees with you, fascist?

I don’t. I’d rather people I disagreed with were on the air. Makes it a lot easier to make my case when Morons like Al Franken are pushing theoir garbage.  Then again, I’m not stupid enough to hire them. Also, I care more if they’re telling the truth.  IE; forged documents are not the truth.

9. Are you completely ignorant of other countries, or do you actually own a passport?

More countries than you’ve had zits. And why would that matter?

How many 50 year ods do you see on the lines? And have you noticed that the majority of those doing the fighting consider our efforts worth it? No, I suppose not… you’ve been busy drooling over your autographed picture of Dan Rather. By the way… you do know he’s got an autopen machine that signs those things, right?

Oh, please, he-man. Spare me the war-hero theatrics. You were no more a war hero than John Kerry was… and likely, far less.. and that’s saying something. I gather that the only face that was goo you’ve ever seen, or had your hands in, was your girlfreind’s, after she bumped her head and busted up that third eye on her forehead, trying to squeeze her size 24 body into that size 7 tincan you call a car. Ya know, you really need to tell her about Hickey-off Pimple pads by the makers of Brillo, OK?

13. Have you ever reached into any pile of goo?

Yes. You’d call it “Tofu”.
Oh, and I do visit the DNC website from time to time.
It’s usually followed by a visit to the shower.

I’m a leftist’s worst nightmare.  An informed citizen, with the balls to speak aloud my conclusions. For example; My conclusion about you; You’re a waste of air. Please leave the planet at once.

CNET News.com has the details of how the traditional broadcasters are coming back to the web after getting scaled back over copyright issues.

You’ll recall I mentioned my mother-in-law’s dog needing a new home.
Last night we got word that someone will accept him. Great news!!!

Only one problem; They’re in Cape May, NJ. Even that wouldn’t be a problem.. as I said before anywhere within aournd 600 miles, I’ll drive the dog there. But we need to link up in Cape May before 4pm on Saturday… and I can’t leave Rochester before about 8:45.

Mapquest makes the drive 390 miles… around six and a half hours, more or less. Which leaves me about a half-hour, or 45 min of leeway. (Yikes!)

I’ve made the drive before and know the area pretty well, (at least as far as the Franklin Bridge) so normally that wouldn’t be an issue. But I’m concerned about the weather costing us time, this weekend.

This will be interesting.

PS: Obviously, Bit’sBit will either be a day early or a day late this weekend; Can’t be helped.

If anyone ever needed any added proof about the Gun control nuts in this country, they could always look at the case of this woman. Of course, if Carl Rowan didn’t change their minds on the issue, hang it up; it’s not happening, anyway.

James at Outside The Beltway passes along worth from Lucianne.com that Tony Snow’s surgery went well, and a full recovery is expected. Well, there’s one more reason to smile today.

For those of you who were wondering about what Carly Fiorina had in her future, it’s possibly a stint at the World Bank. so says The Register, anyway.

GOPBloggers notes the tirade of Grand Keegle of the KKK, Senator Byrd of WV: (Yes, they are the same person)

Between Howard Dean’s racist remarks, and Senator Robert Byrd’s latest rant, I don’t know how the Democratic Party can call themselves the party of tolerance and diversity.

Robert Byrd, defending his party’s obstruction of Bush’s judicial nominees, invoked the name of Hitler, making a most offensive and irresponsible comparison. Denouncing the GOP’s threats to employ the “nuclear option” in order to allow the Senate to their Constitution duty to confirm judicial nominees.

Byrd, in his rant, sung the praises of extended debate. Apparently, however, The Senator has a short memory when it comes to the virtues of extended debate as a roadblock. For example, his own use of that tactic to argue against the Civil Rights act of 1964. The Official Senate website records it this way:

At 9:51 on the morning of June 10, 1964, Senator Robert C. Byrd completed an address that he had begun fourteen hours and thirteen minutes earlier. The subject was the pending Civil Rights Act of 1964, a measure that occupied the Senate for fifty-seven working days, including six Saturdays. A day earlier, Democratic Whip Hubert Humphrey, the bill’s manager, concluded he had the sixty-seven votes required at that time to end the debate.

Must be a BITCH being an old racist, and have your memory go like that, huh? I can only hope someone in the Republican party will have the stones to remind the good Senator of his own use of this “extended debate” roadblock tactic.

Ace of Spades HQ notes this morning that the Arab press is watching Lebanon closely. Even the Arab press is starting to wonder, says Ace. He quotes the BBC’s website:

“Arab newspapers are weighing up the possible knock-on effect of events in Lebanon on other Arab states, asking whether it is the precursor of the spread of genuine democracy across the region.”

When even the BBC has started to sit up and take notice, we know the Paradigm in the middle east has started to shift… to say nothing of the western left. Ace finds this shift in the press a little disturbing:

“I am now, I think, even more disrespectful of the media than I was before.

Yes, they are dutifully reporting the new optimism.

But they do seem to be stampeding, don’t they? It doesn’t take much to spook this herd and get it to change direction.

I think I’d actually have more respect for them if they didn’t back down from years of previous group-think so quickly. At least that would have demonstrated some spine, or something.”

Thing is, Ace, that’s been the Bush plan all along. This is in fact what has always driven the press… a herd mentality.  Which explains so much of their output over the last several years… a kind of knee-jerk liberalism. What’s happened, here is simple; The reality of the success of Bush’s doctrine toward the goals that liberals have always claimed they were about, IE; Freedom and Democracy.  It’s only the farthest left who still can’t bring themselves to acknowledge the reality of what’s been happening the last couple years, much less cheer it.

Michelle Malkin asks that question, and it’s kind of an extension of the post from yesterday on more or less the same topic.

She quotes a WSJ bit that suggests:

“Some eight million Americans now publish blogs and 32 million people read them, according to the Pew Internet & American Life Project.”

She doesn’t believe it, and links to a Powerline post by Hindrocket, who also doesn’t believe it.

First I don’t trust the Pew research group; they’ve been too wrong too often in the past to take seriously on any matter, far less one that is this technical and complex.  That said, Michelle points up, correctly, that part of the problem in the numbers, is the way Bloggers tend to blur the line between the number of visits and the number of visitors.

What she fails to mention is that most bloggers don’t have the kind of hit count tools to hand that some of the A-level folks (Such as Michelle and Powerline) do. (Though in fairness she points to the way Sitemeter, which I use here, as being problematic.)

Another point that gets missed here is reads from ATOM/XML, Bloglines, and so on, that bypass the usual hitcounter tools.

No, nobody’s really gotten their arms around this, yet.
