Yearning for the Mud: The Kerry-Heinz Ticket And the Psychotic Party Platform

What’s going on is a massive, subconscious desire on the part of millions of our fellow Americans to ensure that America loses — not only in Iraq, but in the wider First Terrorist War. But why?

The French have an idiomatic phrase nostalgie pour la boue which means, roughly, “yearning for the mud.” Nostalgie pour la boue is a compulsion that comes over people when they have, for complex reasons, a need to immerse themselves in self-degradation. This is a specialty of the French culture.

So, here we have John Kerry.

He’s in cammo, holding a gun, posing for the cameras. Looking very much the alpha male he’s not, he’s doing this with the idea of supporting his political future. He gives the camera folks lots of cues, in this highly scripted pass, so as to look completely and utterly natural.

Oh….. No, I’m not talking about Ohio and the goose hunt yesterday. I see how you could get confused.  I’m talking, however, about Vietnam, 25 years ago. You remember…. Kerry re-enacting his battle action for the cameras he’s bought for the purpose. 

Tell me again, how much John Kerry has changed from his days in Vietnam. Of course, in both cases, we’re forced to question if what we’re seeing is the real thing.

It’s not. I submit this specticle yesterday, was John Kerry once again doing what comes naturally… faking it…. trying to fool the voter.  However, I doubt many will be fooled… if they’re paying attention to the patterns.

25 years of using the power of the Senate to vote against the Military, and calling it’s members war criminals, is not erased by a scripted film.

Similarly, 20 years in the Senate of working against Gun rights is not erased by one afternoon of having someone else hold your kill for you while you’re on camera… even assuming it’s one Kerry shot, which I have my doubts on, knowing the man.

What does that tell you?

Is there any better indication of how far out of touch Kerry and his wife are, than this?

“Well, you know, I don’t know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good,” Heinz Kerry said. “But I don’t know that she’s ever had a real job ? I mean, since she’s been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things.”

OK, I know, she’s issued a lame apology for this, (She said “There cannot be a more important job than teaching our children.”) and I know this was a kind of knee jerk reaction to a question, but that’s exactly the point I’m making. Knee-jerk comments usually reveal what’s at the core of a person’s mind.

Think also; Even in her apology she is arrogantly suggesting that full time mothers, RAISING the kids isn’t the most important job… Teaching them is… (It takes not parents, but a Village…) perhaps that’s because most schoolteachers are under direct governmental control, and strongly union…(can YOU say NEA?)?

And Captain Ed, yesterday, took up this issue, pointing out that Mrs Heinz-Kerry hasn’t had a real job ever, period. When she was gainfully employed, it was as a member of the UN bureaucracy!.  Since then, she’s discovered marrying into power is easier than obtaining it herself… And the comparisons between her and Hitlery are rather apt on this point; wasn’t it Hillary who made the quip about staying home and baking cookies?

Update: I’m less than convinced, upon thinking about this, that she really issued this apology herself. I suspect rather that someone in Kamp Kerry took it upon themselves to issue this one FOR her. This I would take as indication of serious worry on the part of Kamp Kerry for this woman’s public blatherngs. It also makes sense when you consider she’s never apologized for such previously.

Trouble is, in both her original statement, and in the apology whoever wrote it, Mrs Heinz-Kerry is exposed as an out of touch elitist. Now what would John Kerry find in such a package, I wonder… I mean.. I may ahve misjudged Kerry, here.. and it’s not about the money after all… could it be that in this out of touch elitist, he found kindred soul, perhaps?

Hmmm.

I made note of this at someone’s comment section yesterday…. I forget where…and Boortz notes this morning, a WaPo story about Kerry’s approach to foreign policy:

“‘Kerry’s belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, ‘If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no.’ ‘”

Dale at Q&O notes“

“Notice the last paragraph in particular, because it reflects a mindset that reflexively looks to the UN for legitimacy.”

Dale goes on to say, too, that;

This simply highlights, once again, Mr. Kerry’s essential weakness on matters of national security, as well as an excessive skepticism about the use of American power. He was just as wrong about Bosnia as he was about the Gulf War.”

And so, dear reader, what this boils down to is, in Kerry’s view, the United States isn’t worth dying for. The UN is.

You who have served in the military, or you who have family in the military; or who have had people who served and died in the military; You’ve just been called international war criminals again. You’re being called fools, by the man who would have your vote.

And no, this is current Kerry… not a tape from the 1970’s lies he told before the Senate. There’s a reason he hasn’t backed of from that testimony… There’s a reason Kerry hasn’t issued any apology for those lies he told, even when people like Jane Fondle, have done so… He still thinks that way! THIS is why what he did and said during Vietnam is of such import… it’s a good view of John Kerry today. And Kerry has a long history of this kind of nonsense.

Boortz says:

“Put these statements together with some other favorites .. the famous “global test” line for instance.  Can it be any more clear?  Kerry is, as I have been warning for six months, soft on sovereignty.  Kerry, as president, would feel compelled to play a grandiose game of international “Mommy May I?” before he takes steps to protect this country and its citizens. “

Do we really want to give the reins of power to a man whose designs include a weaker America, and the sacrafice of American sovereignty, to a group of people (the UN) who really doesn’t want the US to succeed? The world cannot afford John Kerry as President.

The Register-Guard reports Michial Moore has dealt a blow to those trying to position John Kerry as moderate…

“There’s a reason that they’re saying Kerry is the No. 1 liberal in the Senate,’ said Moore. ‘It’s because he is the No. 1 liberal in the Senate.’ “

Well, there we go, then.

So, Moore’s admitting the Republicans’ charge is correct. The trouble is, the fool takes it as a GOOD thing.

Nice to see the BoSox out to a 6 to nada lead so early in the game. Be nicer if they can hang onto it.

Claudia Rosett comments at the WSJ this morning, about Kofi anan’s reaction to revelations of graft on the UN SECURITY COUNCIL.

She finds Anan’s claims of innocence amusing but unavailing.

maybe he just hasn’t had time to read the lists of oil vouchers handed out liberally by Saddam to assorted French former officials and Russian politicians and state entities–alleged bribes now presumably under investigation by the U.N.’s own “independent inquiry” led by former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker. Earlier this year, an aggrieved Mr. Annan warned critics of the Oil for Food program to shut up and wait for Mr. Volcker to wend his way toward a final report. Apparently, when it comes to Saddam’s biggest clients, Mr. Annan sees no problem with his own policy of pre-emptive exoneration.

In dealing with Saddam, Mr. Annan no doubt had a lot to keep track of. There are many questions yet to be answered about Oil for Food before final blame is parceled out. But if the idea is to save the U.N. itself from becoming the world’s biggest banana institution, there are serious and important questions to be asked about why Secretary-General Kofi Annan finds it “inconceivable” that in the U.N.’s core debates, rampant graft might matter.

So I’m watching the BoSox beat up on the Yankees last night, and an amazing thing happens… The Yankees cheat… Nothing new here… But then the umpires actually have the testicular mass to call them on it. Not that they didn’t make a couple bad calls that fell out in the Yankees favor, too… but that they called the Yankees on stuff they got wrong at all is the amazing part; they never do… and I’ve opend up a new one for MLB on that point several times.

Of particular note was toward the end of the game… Yankee hitter clips a roller out halfway to the mound, and takes off. The pitcher, for his part responds by doing what any picther SHOULD do…picking up the ball and running over to tag the runner near first. The runner, Rodriguez I think his name was, responds by hitting the pitchers arm so hard so as to knock the ball AND the glove out of the pitcher’s hand.  The other runner on the bases at the time as a result of this action Cairo (?) scores.

Now with any other team, the runner is out, and the run doesn’t count, no question. It’s an obstruction call, plain and simple.

Not so with the Yankees.  They argue and bitch and scream, and the fans start throwing all kinds of junque onto the field, including baseballs. Sox respond by removing their players from the field, for fear of incoming attacks. The Police respond by placing riot- geared cops all around the stadium’s front rows. I can’t help but wonder if the security around the Stadium won’t be even larger tonight.

And I got to thinking; Gee, looks like a group of Democrats to me.

Think about the parallels. Democrats tried to cheat their way into the last election, and got caught… then they threw a hissy fit, and started threatening anyone who gets in the way of what they want, with things that are not only outside the norm, but criminal in nature… requiring extra protection for the voters on the next go round. They’re even threatening legal action based on nothing at all. Sound like a baseball team you know? Sound like their fans?

Then it occurred to me; New York City tends to vote Democrat, don’t they?

And it all started making sense.

OK…. Here’s my answer… in 238 words.

I fear John Kerry being president more than I do any terrorist org ever thought of, because John Kerry’s idiocy will empower those groups, and subject us to the dangers they pose to us. Kerry likes to wail and moan about how only five percent of containers being shipped into the U.S., are being inspected. Assuming that’s true, he’s right, that’s a concern.

However, any NFL fan will tell you, that no matter how defensive you get, no matter how much money you spend on defense, the offense is always going to find a way to slip through.  It will always be possible… nay, LIKELY, that determined, committed people will always find a way to get through whatever security cracks exist. And who, I ask is more committed than the ideologically driven bloodthirsty idiots we find ourselves faced with today?

The only way to really put a stop to this is to put a stop to THEM… not just by putting up increasingly defensive postures, but by putting a good offense into play. That’s the real best hope. Killing or capturing our enemy before they strike, while showing the remainder of the world that freedom is spreading, (A free people being less likely to adopt radical casues like Usama BinLaden’s) is the only way to deal with this issue. John Kerry simply doesn’t get this simple and profound equation. George W. Bush meanwhile, has made it his policy.
