Zogby Poll: Bush Opens 4 Point Lead

Update: The above was posted on Friday. On Saturday, Zogby reported the numbers remained pretty much the same.

RCP has a breakdown on all the day’s polls… and the numbers, except for the far left ABC/WaPo and CNN/UselessToady polls show Bush ahead.

The Alarmingly French Press (AFP) serving as a mouthpeice for Kerry says yesterday that

“SANTA FE, United States (AFP) – Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry hailed Christopher Reeve as “America’s hero” and vowed to drive on the dead Superman actor’s crusade for stem-cell research.

…Kerry said the last time he heard from Reeve was on Saturday, when the actor left a message on his cellphone, enthused by the Massachusetts senator’s decision to raise stem-cell research in Friday’s second presidential debate.

Only one problem; Reeve was in a coma at the time Kerry claimed the call had been left.

Now, where’s the press on this?

As it is, of course blithering idiots like Sullivan are arguing that this wasn’t out of bounds. So are a goodly number of the press this morning.  And of course, we know which side the press is on, now, don’t we, really?

This won’t be going away for a week or more.. an eternity in terms of the time left in this election cycle.

So, regarding this O’Reilly lawsuit… is there anything to the idea that the producer went to CNN and came back shortly there after?

Let’s remember, Fox, and particulalry O’Reilly, have been handing CNN it’s ass in a basket for the last two years.  Remember that as we go forward; It strikes me as a plauseable motivation for this woman… and certainly not beneath the likes of CNN.

John Kerry last night:

“And I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney’s daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she’s being who she
was, she’s being who she was born as.”

I’m sure she would, senator, but that was not what you were asked. And why have you and your running mate brought this up at every debate? Mrs Cheney called it ” cheap and tawdry political trick”… and she’s right.It’s a not so subtle move to try and hurt Bush Cheney with Social conservatives. ACE notes that even the far leftist New York Times was forced to view the low tactic as such;

“Forget his health care plan. Forget abortion and embryonic stem cell research. Forget even how many times he did or did not vote to raise taxes. Senator John Kerry may have lost three critical votes with a simple aside, when he invoked Vice President Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter as part of an answer on same-sex marriage.
“That is very unfair,” blurted Patsey Farrell, 64, one of a handful of undecided voters gathered here to watch the final presidential debate Wednesday night. “I’m sorry, that’s too personal. That’s too hurtful.”

Her son-in-law, Kevin Uhde, the 50-year-old elementary school principal who held this pizza party, agreed. “Not by name,” he said, shaking his head at Mr. Kerry on the 24-inch Phillips television set a few yards away. “Why single out one person?”

And Mr. Uhde’s wife, Karlen, added, “I think it’s like a low blow.””

Kerry goes on at that point to mumble about

“I think if you talk to anybody, it’s not choice”

Well, Senator that’s not true, as is usual of your statements. The facts are it IS a choice, and always has been… and most people see it as a choice.

And mostly, they see Mr. Kerry trying to use homosexuality as a wedge issue…. except the true beleivers like that blithering idiot Sullivan.

UpdateAce makes a good point…(paraphrase, here) Let’s imagine Gephardt had won the nomination, and George Bush had repeatedly invoked the name of his homoseual daughter.  Imagine the response.

Fox news, as usual, is providing full transcrpts of the debate last night.

Kerry last night in playing his class warfare games puked up a line he’s been toying with on the trail for some months now… Kerry claims this is the first President in 70-some-odd to lose jobs.

Well, let’s blow that outta the water right now;
Let’s look at the “Employment Situation Summary” which is posted on the website of the Labor Dept’s “Bureau of Labor Statistics”. That page shows a total of 139 million people working, about 8 million of which are working more than one job.

Now that 139 million people is more people than we’ve ever had working at any time since we started keeping records of such things, and one presumes, more than at any time not recorded, as well.

How can we have lost jobs, if we have record worker levels?
It gets better. The unemployment rate is listed on this same document as being at 5.4%… which as a matter of history, is fairly low… Bill Clinton’s average over his time in office was 5.6%, for example… and the Democrats are still screaming about how great the employment picture was in those years.

Clearly, what John Kerry claimed doesn’t mesh with the facts.
So, John Kerry lied.
Again.

Just remember, gang.. John Kerry would still be trying the demonstrably unproductive route of UN style diplomacy, and treating saddam as a legit leader. Resulting of course in Saddam still being in power.

The policy being set forward by such people are Richard Holebrooke are the policies of the 90’s… the policies that led all these people to their deaths.

I don’t see going back to those policies as preferable, do you?

Update/Passing thought:

There is something about the mindset of a group of people who claim to be al sweetness, light and love, who come up with this kind of boiler sludge.

It’s the same kind of mind who will claim that one’s sex life shouldn’t matter, and then make it a national wedge issue, as they did with Cheney’s daughter.

It’s the same kind of mind who will send out memoes to it’s field operatives as has been noted in Drudge today, stating that said operatives should claim voter intimidation even when there is none.

It’s the same kind of mentality that will claim that the Presdient is responsible for a massive job loss, when in fact we are as this is written, at record levels of employment.

File them all under “People I’d not buy a used anvil from”.
File them all under “Democrat”.
