I’m getting more than a little bit tired of seeing Democrats using science as a bludgeon when it’s convenient, but ignoring actual science.
The most recent example of this of course is covid-19 which Behind the Black explores rather thoroughly. Here’s but a bit of it:
From day one, nothing we have been told by government health officials has been reliable or trustworthy. First we were only to lock-down for two weeks in order to slow the spread of the virus slightly so that hospitals would not be overwhelmed. We were also told that we shouldn’t wear masks, because a century of research clearly showed them useless and possibly counter-productive if used improperly, and proper use was unlikely if used all the time.
Then we were told we needed to lockdown for months, because we wanted to stop the spread, a goal that was utterly impossible to meet. At that same time, suddenly health officials decided that the previous half century of research about masks was all wrong, and that we must wear them all the time.
These new rules were only going to be necessary until a vaccine was available.
Now, a year later, a vaccine is suddenly not enough to allow us to be free humans again. We must wear masks, with two masks being even better, and normal activities such as attending parties, sports events, shows, and concerts must still be forbidden.
Along the way, a lot of evidence raised legitimate questions about the way coronavirus deaths and cases were tracked, with much of it suggesting the numbers were being manipulated for political purposes.
The result today is that a very very large percentage of the population no longer trusts anything said by these health officials. And for good reason. They have lied, repeatedly, and liars should never be trusted, ever.

Yes indeed, numbers being altered for political purposes.
Like for example, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stuffing covid-19 positive patients into nursing homes, because he didn’t want to use the hospitals provided him by the federal government and president Donald Trump, and then covering up the literally thousands of deaths caused by that utterly idiotic move. How many people died simply because Andrew Cuomo didn’t like Donald Trump? But that’s okay, those elderly probably would have voted for Trump, anyway. Right, Fredo?
And by the way what about the elderly housed in nursing homes that have spent the last year unable to spend any reasonable time with family and friends? There’s a lot of ways to die Fredo, and one of them is loneliness. But then, you knew that, didn’t you?
That’s just one example of what we’ve seen over the last year.
Then of course there is global warming, or global cooling or…. oh, hell, just call it climate change and then we’re covered either way.
Because of the devotion to the global warming myth, we have been taken from a country that in 2019 was energy independent for the first time in our history, and that progress has been set back 60 years in the first 10 days of the Biden administration.
And the sad part is the science isn’t even there to support any of it
Indeed that’s the one consistent factor when the left tells us that we are supposed to support the science or follow the science or what have you…In each of these cases we are supposedly to follow the science, the problem is that just like Joe Biden’s brain power, the science isn’t there..
Next, we are supposed to follow the science in quotes that tells us there are 57 or 512 or whatever the number is this week, sexes, when there is no scientific fact to back this up. On that basis we are supposed to allow males to compete in female sports which effectively ends female sports Once again, if we don’t accept the fallacy as fact we are labeled unscientifics, neanderthals, bigots, or God help us, anti- intellectual.
I guess the question becomes, is it anti-intellectual, anti-scientific to recognize that the emperor is wandering through the streets of the village stark naked? On the other hand if intellectuals weren’t so gleefully doing stupid crap, that is so very obviously politically motivated, there wouldn’t be so many people they find worthy of the label of anti- intellectual.
When you’re being told to follow the science it’s almost a lock sure bet anymore, that what you’re dealing with is a leftist trying to enforce his political views on the rest of us, using science as a bludgeon.
But isn’t it interesting how the left over the last 50 years or so has transported themselves from being the party of social freedom to the party of social control?
As regards this impeachment fiasco the Democrats are staging inside the razor wire of DC….This isn’t about Trump, this is about you.
They’re after Trump because he operated outside the establishment of both parties… and in case you’ve forgotten, Trump was elected for that exact reason.
The American people rejected the establishment of both parties… If that wasn’t true, we would have had President John McCain, President Mitt Romney, and President Jeb Bush.
Neither party can allow that to happen. All three establishment critters and all rejected by the GOP rank and file. and the GOP establishment still hasn’t gotten the message.
This is about taking the power back from the people and putting it where they think it belongs… inside the razor wire surrounding DC.
From their point of view, anyone who thinks outside that narrow box must be crushed. They’re making an example of Donald Trump to keep you in check.

You will doubtless remember Greta Thunberg? The New York Post does, and reports this morning…
Greta Thunberg accidentally shared a message showing she was getting told what to write on Twitter about the ongoing violent farmers’ revolt in India — sparking a police investigation and a political firestorm, according to reports.
The 18-year-old left-wing eco-activist shared — and then quickly deleted — a message that detailed a list of “suggested posts” about the ongoing protests, according to the posts that were saved by Breaking 911.
Oh, it gets better..
“The call was to wage economic, social, cultural and regional war against India,” police said of the plot supposedly taken up by the celebs.
That’s pretty much what they were doing in November of 2016 and for the previous four years here in the states, isn’t it?
I’m not even going to address the question of why Twitter permitted it to happen both here and in India. For all of big tech and their protests that they are trying to be apolitical, anyone and I mean anyone who’s been watching knows better.
As for the 18-year-old scold, who inexplicably believes that she knows more about science than the thousands upon thousands of scientists who tell us that man-made climate change is a political fantasy and nothing more, I’m guessing that the number of people that take her seriously is somewhat lessened by these events.
Events which by the way the paper that claims to be “all the news that’s fit to print” , hasn’t even touched on. Their complicity is of course a whole ‘nother subject.
What did socialists use for lighting before candles?

Word from the Houston Chronicle which suggests that a record number of nuclear power plants are to be shut down this year.
The problem goes deeper than the usual electricity needs, troublesome as this shortage is going to be in those areas.
Think…if we are really planning on the leftist wet dream of electric cars and for that matter electric trucks, while shutting down the electrical infrastructure that we have, is it really that difficult to foresee economic and humanitarian disaster?

China, what we do not know.
A Little Known Reality.
In future, China will employ millions of American workers and dominate thousands of small communities all over the United States. Chinese acquisition of US businesses set a new all-time record last year, and it is on pace to shatter that record this year.
The Smithfield Foods acquisition is an example. Smithfield Foods is the largest pork producer and processor in the world. It has facilities in 26 US states and it employs tens of thousands of Americans. It directly owns 460 farms and has contracts with approximately 2,100 others. But now a Chinese company has bought it for $ 4.7 billion, and that means that the Chinese will now be the most important employer in dozens of rural communities all over America.
Thanks in part to our massively bloated trade deficit with China, the Chinese have trillions of dollars to spend. They are only just starting to exercise their economic muscle.
It is important to keep in mind that there is often not much of a difference between “the Chinese government” and “Chinese corporations”. In 2011, 43 percent of all profits in China were produced by companies where the Chinese government had a controlling interest.
Last year a Chinese company spent $ 2.6 billion to purchase AMC entertainment – one of the largest movie theatre chains in the United States. Now that Chinese company controls more movie ticket sales than anyone else in the world.
But China is not just relying on acquisitions to expand its economic power.
“Economic beachheads” are being established all over America. For example, Golden Dragon Precise Copper Tube Group, Inc. recently broke ground on a $100 million plant in Thomasville, Alabama. Many of the residents of Thomasville, Alabama will be glad to have jobs, but it will also become yet another community that will now be heavily dependent on communist China.
And guess where else Chinese companies are putting down roots? Detroit. Chinese-owned companies are investing in American businesses and new vehicle technology, selling everything from seat belts to shock absorbers in retail stores, and hiring experienced engineers and designers in an effort to soak up the talent and expertise of domestic automakers and their suppliers. If you recently purchased an “American-made” vehicle, there is a really good chance that it has a number of Chinese parts in it. Industry analysts are hard-pressed to put a number on the Chinese suppliers operating in the United States.
China seems particularly interested in acquiring energy resources in the United States.
For example, China is actually mining for coal in the mountains of Tennessee. Guizhou Gouchuang Energy Holdings Group spent 616 million dollars to acquire Triple H Coal Co. in Jacksboro, Tennessee. At the time, that acquisition really didn’t make much news, but now a group of conservatives in Tennessee is trying to stop the Chinese from blowing up their mountains and taking their coal.
And pretty soon China may want to build entire cities in the United States just like they have been doing in other countries. Right now China is actually building a city larger than Manhattan just outside Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Are you starting to get the picture?
China is on the rise. If you doubt this, just read the following:
# When you total up all imports and exports, China is now the number one trading nation on the entire planet.
# Overall, the US has run a trade deficit with China over the past decade that comes to more than 2.3 trillion dollars.
# China has more foreign currency reserves than anyone else on the planet.
# China now has the largest new car market in the entire world.
# China now produces more than twice as many automobiles as the United States does.
# After being bailed out by US taxpayers, GM is involved in 11 joint ventures with Chinese companies.
# China is the number one gold producer in the world.
# The uniforms for the US Olympic team were made in China.
# 85% of all artificial Christmas trees the world over are made in China.
# The new World Trade Center tower in New York is going to include glass imported from China.
# China now consumes more energy than the United States does.
# China is now in aggregate the leading manufacturer of goods in the entire world.
# China uses more cement than the rest of the world combined.
# China is now the number one producer of wind and solar power on the entire globe.
# China produces 3 times as much coal and 11 times as much steel as the United States does.
# China produces more than 90 percent of the global supply of rare earth elements.
# China is now the number one supplier of components that are critical to the operation of any national defense system.
# In published scientific research articles China is expected to become number one in the world very shortly.
And what we have seen so far may just be the tip of the iceberg.
For now, I will just leave you with one piece of advice –
Learn to speak Chinese.
You are going to need it.

BILLY GRAHAM IS SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE: A piece published by Christianity Today and written by Anglican priest Tish Harrison Warren claims the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot “was in large part brought to us by the white, evangelical church.” Sooner or later, it always comes down to race with these people.
One can only imagine what Graham, who founded CT in the 1950s to be the formidable voice of conservative biblical Christianity, would say were he alive to read such nonsense as appears in his magazine today. It’s no coincidence that the same mentality that produces analyses like Warren’s is also pushing for the ouster of Franklin Graham as the chief of the Graham Crusade and Samaritan’s Purse.
Make no mistake, here… The object is not just to change the church but to change our culture…. And not for the better and certainly not following the edicts of Christianity.

WASHINGTON — President Biden’s climate czar, John Kerry, admitted Wednesday that the US reducing its emissions to zero wouldn’t make much of a difference in the global climate change fight — before pushing domestic manufacturing of electric cars and solar panels in favor of energy production.
So in other words, all these sacrifices we’re making on the global warming altar, have nothing whatsoever to do with the supposed global warming.
So it comes down to Cui bono?.

Certainly not the American people.

December marked the first time since April that job growth shrank, and retail sales tumbled for the third straight month as a surge in COVID-19 cases nationwide triggered a fresh wave of shutdowns.
Of course, now that Trump is gone, we can blame the virus on the economy collapsing, (You remember, the virus the Democrats tell us didn’t come from China, despite the fact that it did)
This is something that the economy wasn’t doing wasn’t doing before Biden came along. No, Democrat party policy doesn’t have anything to do with businesses collapsing. It’s not like we’re sacrificing your job on the altar of global warming, or anything.

A Washington, DC, police officer who responded to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot committed suicide in the days after the siege, the acting chief of the Metropolitan Police Department told members of Congress.
Well, that’s certainly one way to keep them from testifying. I mean, if you’re not suspicious of this stuff, you’re not paying attention.
You know those mittens that Bernie Sanders was wearing in all those photoshops pictures of him?
Well, it turns out…
The woman who made the mittens worn by Sen. Bernie Sanders in a viral meme says she no longer sells those mittens due to high taxes placed on her business.
I suppose it’s a measurement of our national sanity that we can actually laugh at the old fool. But let’s remember always, that there are real victims of leftist policy, and that those are no laughing matter.
We are about to get a re-education on that point over the next 2 years. One can only hope that the lesson has learned, this time.
Consider the idea that we now have a president who tells us that the rollout of the covid-19 vaccine has been horrible, despite the fact that just a short while ago he was telling us that there wouldn’t be any vaccine at this point.
We also have a president at this point who will not tell you where the problem areas are as regards the vaccine distribution. That every single problem area with regards to vaccine distribution at this moment is a Democrat run state.
tell me again how I’m supposed to take this swamp creature seriously.
