Well I wrote this last night, or at least most of it, and then forgot to send it. Woke up this morning and realized I screwed up majorly. Oops.
I suppose I can be excused, I ran a little over six hundred forty miles yesterday. Not exactly a typical day. But, welcome to my world.
With a quick guide to make Phillips, I’ll make a comment as regards the Democrat reaction to the Amtrak crash the other day. The dust hadn’t even settled on the cars after the accident before the Democrats were screaming bloody murder about how the Republicans were trying to cut Amtrak funding and therefore they were responsible for the crash. I’m not even going to bother linking their comments. You can pretty much tell where that’s going immediately.
First of all, infrastructure didn’t have a blessing thing to do with it. The system that the Democrats are screaming should have been in place, I was in fact in place. It is already been paid for. Probably a few times. Trouble is, nobody bothered to turn it on. Why? Because it was held up in government red tape. Not because of funding.
And even assuming, just for the sake of giggles, did it for structure was in fact the issue, as it was not, I’ll tell you what. You go ahead and find a 50 mile an hour works on. Drive through at a hundred and six miles an hour. When the cop pulls you over tell them that it happened because of the infrastructure problem on the highway. If that doesn’t work you can always claim racism.
