For those of you who don’t know, the Cuban government is currently engaged in jamming amateur radio frequencies at the bottom end of the 40 m band. Purpose, to eliminate the ability of the Cuban people to send messages outside of Cuba. This is related to the anti-government protests that we have been hearing about over the last few months.
The condemnation from around the world has been uniform, if a little weak.
But consider this.. we had an admission from the White House a few weeks ago that they are collaborating with big tech, Facebook, Youtube, Google, Twitter, etc… as to what is and is not “appropriate content”.
So in other words, they’ve got big tech acting as agents of the government to silence the people which is a clear violation of the first amendment.
I suggest that the actions of our own federal government in this matter is barely distinguishable from the Cuban government in silencing its own people on the radio.
The Biden administration along with the Cuban government are showing their totalitarian chops.
How in the world can we attack Cuba for its anti-freedom actions and not attack the Biden administration for doing precisely the same thing?
And you know, that may explain the weakness of the response from governments around the world including our own.

Unfortunately the transformation of the USA to Obama’s Socialist Dream is almost complete. If there are any freedom loving members of our government they need to show up and make a stand.
Republican members of Congress were not allowed to see the conditions that the January 6 detainees are enduring. They held a big news conference saying that they wouldn’t stop fighting for the truth, but, I haven’t heard about any legal action to force government compliance. Just bloviating and disappear. I am sick of it.
Valid points, all. And I suggest that the tactics being used in that farce “hearing” are also precisely what you would expect from the Cuban government or the Russians or the Chinese. Or any other totalitarian government, for that matter. It always ends up being the same way as Harry Truman observed:
Small Wonder that the Democratic party hardly mentions Harry Truman anymore and if they do, it’s disparagingly.
I’ll leave you with a thought… What’s driving all this is fear. The respective governments are fearful of the people they supposedly represent… A phrase which is these days only marginally less laughable in Cuba than it is here in these formerly United States.
These tactics only get used by totalitarian governments when the lies no longer have any hold on the mindset of the people.
Now, about those masks… Along the same lines, we are going to hear about a new variant of covid-19 every time the people stop being afraid.
