I tell her:
I have maintained for years that 99% of what gets passed off as racial issues, are actually cultural issues. Frankly, this is no different. If Whoopi Goldberg is wrong how do you explain her own history? How do you explain Sammy Davis Jr as an example?
For that matter, let’s look at the relationship between race and culture.
And I point to Walter Williams, Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, Candice Owens, David Webb, and literally millions of other people of color who have rejected the so-called Black Street culture and are there by wildly successful..
And how are they treated by the people in that black Street culture? You know the answer to that question.
It pains me a little to see Whoopi Goldberg getting chastised for this one so loudly when as far as I can see it’s as close to being right as she’s been in a long time.
I saw it mentioned the other day that the story of Adolf Hitler is the story of a failed liberal arts student who constructed his political ideals around people he deemed were privileged. A little ironic, isn’t it? That’s the same thing that we’re dealing with from the left just now and for many years.
It’s culture, not race. Or if you like, we can put it more precisely and say it’s the culture that’s attached to each race that is the issue
