Biden didn’t do overly badly but I doubt it’s going to move the needle in any measurable way. First of all he’s just not an inspiring speaker. Never has been. In any event, the impression was already cast over the last 2 years, and gets reinforced with every trip to the grocery store for every single American. The American people are already know what the story is, and how they feel about it. Even a top notch performance out of Biden for this speech which this wasn’t, isn’t going to change that.
The real star of the night was Sarah Huckabee Sanders who outperformed my expectations. She has evolved into a major player within the GOP. We’ve just got to keep her away from Mitch McConnell.
