Back on from 9/13/01, I said:

Fleet Admiral Yamamoto

Fleet Admiral Yamamoto

It is recorded in our history books that when he looked down at the ship full of smiling, victorious faces… faces of his flyers, just having returned from Pearl Harbor, Japanese fleet Admiral Yamamoto was quiet, pensive, even apprehensive. He later wrote in his private diary,

“I fear all I have done is awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.”

It took the attack on Pearl Harbor to awaken Americans to the threat that the world faced, 82 years ago, today.

Today, the Western world faces a different kind of threat.

The threat we face today is much larger than the one that we faced 82 years ago, and for that matter a larger threat than we faced on 9/11, because the attack is coming from inside our borders, inside our government houses.  People who swore to uphold our constitution, are now actively tearing it down, all in the name of improving the world.

Demonstrably however, they’re doing exactly the opposite.

And I can’t help but wonder what it will take to completely awaken Americans and indeed the whole of Western society to that threat.

Maybe it’s time for Americans to rise up with the same kind of terrible resolve that they showed 82 years ago, today?
