You understand, don’t you, what’s driving this call for quieting things down, now? They realized shortly after Charlie Kirk’s death at the hands of one of their own, that there would be consequences, not personally, but to their movement. That they were going to lose power because of it. That they’d poked the lion once too often. Every time in history that there’s been a political assassination, it has not served to silence those killed… it actually made them stronger. MLK, Biko, Lincoln, are a few examples. Charlie Kirk will, alas, be one more.
If there’s a positive outcome in all of this, it is that Charlie’s message now has a megaphone that it could never have had when Charlie was alive. I note that for example, while his followers on X was at around 1.4 million… it is well over 10 million today.
