GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man from Canada is facing federal charges for allegedly voting in North Carolina for two decades — including in the 2024 presidential election.
Investigators say 69-year-old Denis Bouchard moved to the state in the 1960s but never became a U.S. citizen. According to state records, Bouchard registered as an unaffiliated voter in New Hanover and Pender Counties and cast ballots as far back as 2004. He was recently removed from the voter system.
The arrest happened earlier this week, apparently. What bothers me is, I was reliably informed this kind of thing never happens….. Huh.
I do have to wonder how he voted… and I note that none of the stories about this….( there are quite a few…)… even mention that point.
