Look at the crowds in Waashington DC protesting Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime. Who do you see? Not the mothers from Anacostia who’ve lost their sons to street violence. Not the churchgoers in Southeast who just want to walk home without fear. No—what you see are aging white hippies with protest signs, desperate to relive their glory days of the 1960s.
Oh, this is already good. But he goes on from there:
Black families don’t want lectures. We don’t want platitudes about “equity” from people who retreat to million-dollar condos after the rally ends. We want safety. We want to know that kids can play outside without dodging bullets. We want to know our grandparents can ride the bus without being attacked. Safety is the ultimate form of justice and white liberals pretending otherwise are lying. Not just to themselves, but to us.

…puts Democrats inexplicably on the wrong side of their own voters. What on earth are they thinking? Law and order is quite literally an 80-20 issue. You don’t need a pollster to say so, but 81% of Americans of all political persuasions say crime is a “major problem,” according to a new AP-NORC poll released last week.
The other 19% must be either criminals or blue-city politicians — or both.
The president’s approval rating has shot up from 40% in July to 45%, likely as a result of his deployment of the National Guard to DC and his promise to replicate the model in crime-ridden cities from Chicago to Baltimore and New York.
In DC, the crime rate has plummeted across the board, with violent crime down 30% since federal troops were deployed on Aug. 7, according to the White House.
Now obviously, just as with such folks and Justice Thomas, Byron Daniels, Thomas Sowell and so many others, the blue hair hippies will disregard these writings as not being “sufficiently black”. (Translation: Sufficiently leftist.)
But in the doing they eliminate the only viable reason for why the Democrat approval ratings are lower than Bud Light or the Cracker Barrel rebrand and only slightly more popular than chlamydia. I must wonder, though once they finally catch on, what form their response will take. And will anyone trust them once they DO catch on.

Panelists on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Tuesday called for Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker to work with President Donald Trump to stop crime in his state after more violence occurred in Chicago.
At least 54 people were shot and seven people died in Chicago over Labor Day weekend, according to NBC 5 Chicago. While Trump has floated the idea of sending National Guard troops to Chicago, “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough criticized Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Pritzker for doing nothing about the persistent violent crime that has taken place in the city for years.
Now, I’m quite sure the usual suspects will claim that MSNBC even airing this angle is due to their impending ownership change. To these I reply that absent their (until now) blind devotion to the leftist agendae, the sale wouldn’t have been necessary. There’s an object lesson for the Democrats, I think. But if the meeting they held in what’s left of Minneapolis this past week is of any indication, they’ll never learn from it. Andrew Klavan has some fine comments on this, I’ll be posting later.
