Killing the Messenger?

In the discussion group elsewhere today, someone popped up and made the spurious charge that all this never Trump nonsense, so he said, was nothing but jealousy.

My response?

“You know, the same charge was made when conservatives attacked Obama.

Let’s see now.
Jesse Ventura.
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And now Donald Trump?

And you guys wonder why I don’t think this is going to work out the way you want it to?

I’m going to suggest something to you that many of you will think Passing Strange. The sole reason for John Kasich staying in the race was to split the Republicans so as to help Donald Trump.

I make note of Billy posting the following cartoon the other day. It’s a rather nice depiction of the Suicidal Tendencies of liberals.

Perhaps, it is more correctly referred to as the Suicidal Tendencies of secularists.

Now I’ve already written

Remember when we were told by the left that the federal government shouldn’t be in our bedrooms?

Why is it now that they are telling us that the federal government should be in our bathrooms?

Who cares? I mean that very seriously.

If there is literally no difference between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, in terms of policy, in terms of temperament, in terms of corruption there is no difference between them whatsoever.

As it stands right now, Donald Trump has done nothing whatsoever to earn our votes. Based on his output so far, it’s not unreasonable to wonder if he has the capacity to earn our vote.

The argument that I’m hearing

I’ve heard this argument several times in the last 12 hours, that the will of the voters should Prevail and we should all unified behind the choice of the voter. If that’s true, wasn’t Obama the choice of the voters?

It’s not a matter of being upset about Cruz losing, per se.

We must take a stand against what the Republican party has dumped on us.

For a generation and more we’ve been voting for the lesser of two evils,

I have never been more ashamed of our country or more fearful for its future

Secularism for whatever else it is, separates us not only from religion, but it also and more importantly to this discussion separates us from our societal sense of right and wrong… of our cultural perception of the nature of Truth.

If Donald Trump gets the nomination, the majority of Americans will simply stay home… Just like they have the last several elections in a row.

Get it through your heads, people. A genuine conservative is what the American voter wants.
