Attack Naked, Or with BBQ Sauce

Boortz posted this one this morning. I wondered how long it would take… one of my readers mailed it to me several weeks back:

As you may know, it is a sin for a devout Muslim to see any woman other than his wife naked.  If he does happen to see another naked women, he must commit suicide to purge his soul.  So, understanding this about devout Muslims, at 4:00 p.m. this coming Saturday, May 1st, women in major American cities with large Muslim populations are going to strip naked and walk about their neighborhoods.  The plan is to walk about the neighborhood for one hour in an effort to cause any lurking Al Qaeda sleepers to end their own miserable lives.  Good luck ladies!  And thanks for the effort!

Personally, I figure that the way to solve the problem in Iraq is to bomb Fallujah with a a few million tons of Pulled Pork. I don’t know of many people who can resist a good BBQ, and my guess is most of the zealots there won’t know what it is until after the resutling gorge-fest, thus, as with the above idea, requiring suicide on the part of the zealots in question.
Quick, someone… call the Pentegon.

On the other hand, even Saddam had cans of SPAM in his bunker.

ABC’s Charlie Gibson was there, and saw John Kerry tossing medals over the fence. Kerry responds to being caught in his lie about not doing so, by charging that Gobson, arguably one of the reporters more prone to lean toward liberalism, in a line of work already soaked with such people, to be a tool of the Republican White House…. a laughable statement on it’s face. Then comes Thomas Oliphant this morning, who says he saw the same thing that Gbson reported… Kerry, despite his denials today, tossing his medals over the fence.

When even the Boston Globe comes out swinging on Kerry’s lies, you know the poundage challanged sister in the viking suit is warming up, and the show’s about over. Oliphant still tries to defend Kerry, but it’s no good. Even he can’t get around the fact that Kerry is now a documented liar, and an astoundingly stupid one, at that.

Kerry, not having anywhere to go from this trap he’s erected around himself, has been trying to change the subject to Vice President Dick Cheny, and re-hashing the well-exposed lie about the President being AWOL.

Kerry has been destroyed, and knows it.  So too, do his followers, like Oliphant.
They just won’t admit it.

As John Podhoretz points out, It’s called ‘denial’.

“Here’s the truth that Democrats don’t want to admit and that Republicans are fearful of speaking openly because they don’t want to jinx things: Kerry is a terrible, terrible, terrible candidate.

It’s not so much the policies he proposes, although they don’t add up to all that much. The problem is Kerry himself. He no sooner opens his mouth than he sticks first one foot and then the other right in there. “

Insight is reporting:

So much for the supposed ‘mainstream’ ,”unbased” press. You KNOW why this story isn’t making the rounds…. it would flat out kill off any slim chance Kerry had left.

“Sudan has ordered the removal of Syrian missiles and weapons of mass destruction out of the African country.

Arab diplomatic and Sudanese government sources said the regime of Sudanese President Omar Bashir has ordered that Syria remove its Scud C and Scud D medium-range ballistic missiles as well as components for chemical weapons stored in warehouses in Khartoum”

Now, where would Syria have gotten THOSE I wonder?

Wanna bet we start hearing about these weapons having been located about, say, October?
How big a Bush landslide would that produce, do you suppose?

Boy Mr. Bush’s policies are simply killing the housing market, aren’t they?

Kerry used all these this morning in a vain attempt to defend himself on the medals thing that’s now come back to haunt him, based on he ABC story posted below.

Message to John Kerry:

Let’s ignore the fact that all these questions have been answered, and you didn’t come out on top of them.  Matter of fact, Mr. Kerry, you came off looking like an opportunistic twit to say nothing of a liar. Mr. Bush has released all his military records… at your request, may I add… and nobody has come up witha plauseable argument to support the charge of being AWOL that you lay now at Mr. Bush’s feet. Even you own followers have stopped mouthing that fabrication of yours.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for you to release your own records. You told us they were available. They were not. You’ve yet to move to have them released. Why? What are you hiding, Mr. Kerry?

Isn’t it time you stopped lying to the American people, Mr. Kerry?

ABC NEWS: is reporting this morning that

“Contradicting his statements as a candidate for president, Sen. John Kerry claimed in a 1971 television interview that he threw away as many as nine of his combat medals to protest the war in Vietnam.

Calling it a “phony controversy” instigated by the Republican party, Kerry said on Good Morning America today that he has always accurately said what took place. “I threw my ribbons. I didn’t have my medals. It is very simple.”

So was John Kerry lying then, or lying now?

And either way, consider this week’s BIT, regarding why we honor those who serve.
Ask yourself; is this kind of man who we really want at the helm?

It means what I said months ago it means, when the Blair thing hit full volume… this isn’t about race, it’s about liberal ideology. Which Blair represented so well. He did so because when anyone objected to his non-content, it could be claimed the objection to it was becauise the author was black.

With Kelly, they can’t do that.

Why, because the statement is accurate?

Someone wrote me earlier today, wondering why I’d not written about Pat Tillman’s death. The writer also made reference to the MilBlogs ring I’ve posted.

For those who don’t know, Tillman was an NFL player, and a pretty fair one at that. I don’t need to tell you NFL players haul in money by the plane load. Tillman turned it down, instead going into the Army. He was killed in action near the Pakistan/Afghan border on Thursday.

Well, even though the question was put in a hostile manner, it’s a fair enough question to ask. I guess the reason is I’d not really come to terms with it yet. At least, I’d not gotten to the point where I could write proper words and descriptions of what I’m thinking on that subject.

I have a small mountain of respect for Tillman.  I have sympathy for his family, his loved ones, his buddies in the field. But I refuse to be caught in the trap of regarding the death of this one soldier as being of greater impact than the death of any other.  I will not hold the service of this one to be unequal to any other that serves us true.

I cannot dispute that Tillman gave up greater financial wealth to put on the uniform of his country, than most soldiers do. Certainly, he wasn’t after the glory, as one I’ve written of elsewhere on this page for months now, would seem to have done.  I don’t call THAT true service.

I had occasion, recently to see “The Glenn Miller Story” again, just recently, and am now struck by the parallels, as I have been in the past. Miller put on his uniform because he thought he could do some good in his country’s efforts against the Nazi threat. He ended up giving his life for his choice. Who knows where Miller’s music would have taken him, had he lived out his natural life, instead of ending up at the bottom of the English Channel.

Like Miller, Pat Tillman’s choice was about personal sacrifice, and of service… Service of an ideal he thought bigger than himself.

That kind of dedication is be cherished, certainly. But we must not allow ourselves to be swayed by the life position the soldier had, before he/she was a soldier. We must not allow that metric to guide us in the amount of respect shown them, be they living or dead after their service. They’re all worthy of the very same respect, living or dead. Not because of their having lived or died, not because of the amounts of money or positions they gave up, or what impact they had on us when they weren’t wearing the uniform, but because of their respect and understanding of the ideals that uniform represents. Ideals they hold highest.

We should hold them, ALL who serve us true, in our hearts. And Tillman would be, I suppose, among the first to agree with my thought.

PS:
I suppose I should clarify about true service…..Compare the record of Tillman vs that of one other in the public eye of late and see if you see any differences between them.

Kerry continues to slide in the polls, particuarly among undecideds… but interestingly among the Democrats themselves.
But what does it mean?

For one thing, it raises the chances of exactly what I predicted a year ago, and several times since then… a brokered Democrat convention and Democrat nomination. I shouldn’t have to tell you, Hitlery will play large at such an affair.  Her biological clock is ticking. Dick Morris is still suggesting that if she’s going to make a move, it’ll be now. Using his logic, let’s say by some disaster, John Kery manages to get elected. So let’s say we’re still around after four years of Kerry. (Unlikely)
He’ll run again in 2008, in that case.  In the even more unliekly event that we’re around after 8 years of John Kerry, his VP, whoever that will be, will end up running for President, as Al Gore did, this last go-round. In all those cases, Hillary is unlikely to try and upset a sitting presdent or VP… it’s not been done since ’68 (Johnson) .  That means it’ll be 2016 or 2020, depending, by the time she’s got a shot at it… and she’ll be 73 at that point.

Bottom line on all that is, that barring any offer from Kerry to Hitlery for the VP slot, we’ll see her trying to make a run THIS YEAR, at the convention.

Kerry, in the mean time, may be a dummy, but his people aren’t, at least in terms of the possible in what amounts to a popularity contest. They know that such an attempt by Hitlery, when it happens… even if unsuccessful… will fracture the left, and thus ruin any small chance Kerry getting elected this year. On that basis, they’d be likley to try and talk Kerry into asking Clinton to fill the VP slot.  The thing is, they also know that a Clinton/Kerry ticket would turn off all but the most hard core leftists, thus also killing what little chance Kerry has.

How will it play out? I’ve no idea, other than Kerry will not win, regardless. But it’ll be reasonably interesting in an entertainment sense… Rather like a Demolition Derby for Democrats.

Isn’t it time you stopped lying to the American people, Mr. Kerry?

Liberals like to claim Saddam had no connection with AlQuieda.
Then, they were forced to admit that well, yes, there were some connections, but the realy didn’t mean anything.

The FORWARD has an article up that tends to blow that out of the water, too.

And again, the connection is UNSCAM, and the UN corruption.

And have you noticed? Kerry’s said nothing about UNSCAM…. Kerry’s the one who wants to turn over IRAQ to the UN again.
Perhaps he’s not aware of the corruption?

The New York Post is giving UNSCAM the attention it desrves. As I predicted to you a few months ago, this story is starting to pick up steam.

“It worked like this: Iraq would export under-priced oil, import over-priced goods, and cash in the difference through friendly middle-men. This occurred in plain daylight, right under the U.N.’s nose, with the complicity of hundreds of international companies, and possibly, the knowledge of many governments that had seats on the U.N. Security Council.

Beyond the kickbacks, Saddam was able to smuggle an estimated $5.7 billion worth of oil and fuel out of the country in total violation of the sanctions. Hundreds of trucks would enter Iraq from Turkey filled with goods bought under Oil-for-Food – then drive off again with fuel destined for sale on the black market. Other smuggling routes included a pipeline through Syria, and ships sailing Iranian territorial waters.”

It’s clear that the level of corruption is why the UN was unresponsive to President Bush’s call for UN action in Iraq. I imagine the temptation for the Administration to say “See?” is quite strong indeed. Mr. Bush and his people are wise to let these investigations proceed without comment. However; The American people, I think, understand this point, and will react accordingly come November.

It’s also clear that many people, many nations, stood to lose bigtime had Saddam’s weapons actually been found. Stands to reason someone’s still hiding them.

The SanFransisco Chronicle is reporting another power problem out at LAX:

(04-21) 17:33 PDT LOS ANGELES (AP) —
Los Angeles International Airport suffered its third power outage in 10 days Wednesday when a bird landing on a power line forced the airport to switch to a backup energy supply, officials said.
No lights went out at the airport and no flights were delayed, though Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Donn Walker said the control tower was temporarily disconnected from the power grid as a precaution.
The 10-second outage at 5:53 a.m. came less than two weeks after another bird landing on the same line caused a blackout at the airport that delayed flights for up to 11/2 hours. “

Captain Ed points out this morning that if a crow can bring down the grid feeding that place, that a terrorist might have a fair shot at it as well…
