Just a few thoughts in no particular order is that crossed my mind today.
* I hope tax cheat, and perpetrator of the Tawana Brawley hoax, Al Sharpton,
is still standing behind his statement that Jussie Smollett’s attackers should be under the full weight of the law. Somehow, I tend to doubt it.
* That Ethiopian Max 8 crash the other day seems to me to be making an example of how the Press gets things disconnected. The Press seems to be spending the majority of its time on pilot reports of safety system problems and yet the actual crash reports, particularly from people living along the flight path suggest that there was mechanical issues. Smoke and loud noises, banging coming from one of the engines. I’m betting the one of the engines was coming apart, possibly from a bird strike or possibly maintenance issues.
* There’s what, almost a dozen Democrats threatening to run for president of the United States under the Democrat banner.
Aside from the question of how they managed to fit that many people into a clown car anyway, is the amusing notion that creepy Uncle Joe is still polling the best out of the lot. That might have something to do with the socialism being claimed by the majority of them if not in so many words, as compared to what’s been happening in Venezuela lately.
* Paul Ryan is useless.
Unless of course, you’re a Democrat.
We’ve been saying for some time here that this is precisely what happened. Now we have it as sworn testimony…
House Judiciary Committee Republicans on Tuesday released hundreds of pages of transcripts from last year’s closed-door interview with ex-FBI attorney Lisa Page, revealing new details about the bureau’s controversial internal discussions regarding an “insurance policy” against then-candidate Donald Trump.
Page first entered the spotlight in December 2017, when it was revealed by the Justice Department inspector general that she and then-FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok exchanged numerous anti-Trump text messages. The two were involved in the FBI’s initial counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the 2016 election, and later served on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team.
Among their texts was one concerning the so-called “insurance policy.” During her interview with the Judiciary Committee in July 2018, Page was questioned at length about that text — and essentially confirmed this referred to the Russia investigation while explaining that officials were proceeding with caution, concerned about the implications of the case while not wanting to go at “total breakneck speed” and risk burning sources as they presumed Trump wouldn’t be elected anyway.
Here’s the transcripts (PDF) from that interview over a period of two days. In reading them, several point leap out to me.
* James Comey was not acting of his own accord when he exonerated Hillary Clinton in the middle of a news conference. He was acting at the direction of the Obama Justice Dept, and absent that direction, Hillary Clinton would be stinking up a jail cell at this very moment. (In fairness I must say that James Comey probably agreed with that direction.)
* It seems likely that the Russia hoax was also perpetrated by the Obama Administration through the justice department, even absent what we know now about the (fake, phony, paid for by Hillary Clinton’s team, since disproved many times ) Steele dossier.
* The transcripts that I’ve posted here being released to the general public would seem to have a great deal to do with Nancy Pelosi backing off on her push for impeachment. At this stage of the game oh, she’s probably just wishing the whole thing would go away.
* It also seems likely that all of this is relevant to that mysterious Tarmac Summit. Just just in case you don’t remember it, here’s a reminder…
The only question at this point is why people aren’t being frog marched off to jail for trying to overturn the 2016 election.
It’s time for that to happen, and right now.

Last week, Democratic lawmakers passed through committee legislation, introduced by Representative Mia Gregerson, that would usurp the authority of city governments and legalize camping in all “plazas, courtyards, parking lots, sidewalks, public transportation facilities, public buildings, shopping centers, parks, [and] natural and wildlife areas” throughout the state.

Homelessness and drug addiction are ravaging Seattle, Washington’s largest city. More than 400 illegal encampments now exist within the city limits. Last year, municipal cleanup crews collected more than 2.4 million pounds of trash and human waste from a small fraction of these encampments. Discarded needles litter the streets, and even Puget Sound’s famed mussels have tested positive for opioids.
Prohibitions against public camping, littering, drug consumption, and theft do not “criminalize homelessness”—they provide the foundation for public safety in urban environments.
My advise to all municipalities in Washington, tear up your sidewalks, and privatize all municipal property.
How about a funding page for one way bus tickets to Washington?
So here comes the rest of it.
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch is urging the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., regarding his communications with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson and President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen.
“Rep. Schiff has an ethics problem. His and his staff’s irregular communications with anti-Trump witnesses reflect poorly on the credibility of the House and its committees’ investigations,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement Monday.

“It has long been apparent that Rep. Schiff can’t be trusted to lead the Intelligence Committee, so we hope that Democrats on the Ethics Committee stop protecting Mr. Schiff and take action.”
It’s certainly true that Adam Schiff can’t be trusted in the position he has. But that kind of begs the question, “what Democrat can be trusted these days,with the position?
I submit that the answer, clearly, is “Not a one of them.” For proof of this I point to the Stone Cold fact that the ethics complaints registered by judicial watch on this matter will go absolutely nowhere.
If Nancy Pelosi still has a functioning brain cell in her head, (which is of course an open question…) then we must assume that their two-year long investigation has gotten them absolutely nowhere. They’ve got nothing.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview that she opposes moving to impeach President Trump even though she believes he is “unfit” for office — her first definitive statement on the subject and one that stands to alienate members of her own Democratic Party who are intent on ousting the president.
“I’m not for impeachment,” she said in a March 6 interview conducted for a future issue of The Washington Post Magazine.
“This is news,” she added. “I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this, impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”
The Mueller report is supposed to be dropping soon. Does anybody truly imagine that the contents of that report, even in uncompleted form, hasn’t been making the rounds among the Democrats, particularly the Democrat leadership?
If the Democrats have anything to go on, anything at all, they would have already been going with it. If the Mueller report had anything in it that helped their case, they’d be preparing to use it. Clearly, this backing away from impeachment is an indication that it is, as we’ve been predicting, a huge nothing Burger.
The line about not going with impeachment without bipartisan support is a cute little move on Pelosi’s part. Essentially, she’s trying to find a way to blame the GOP for not having enough support for her goals of bringing down this president.
The reason of course she doesn’t have enough support to do that is because she also doesn’t have any evidence whatsoever to back Democrat claims. But you’ll never hear her say that. Indeed, the only evidence at all about any collusion with the Russians is what the Obama Administration in general and Hillary Clinton in particular.
But here’s the thing; this is a face-saving move…. Damage control.
Think, now:
When that Mueller report drops, whenever that’s likely to be, everything else in the current news cycle is going to die a quick death. It will all disappear. And the biggest headline for the next several news cycles is going to be “none of the Democrat claims are true.” You can imagine how that’s going to play. The Democrats do, as well. Which is why they’re backing away rather furiously from the idea of impeachment, at least for the time being.
Yes, that’s right, this isn’t over by any stretch of the imagination. Since they don’t have any evidence whatsoever of collusion with the Russians that doesn’t point back to the Democrat Party, the next thing we’ll see out of the Democrats is going to be “obstruction of justice“. It’s also BS of course, but it’s a lot harder to disprove. it also takes a lot longer to get things moving in that direction than the amount of time between here and 2020.
Pelosi’s concern here is that the optics are all wrong. The American electorate will correctly see the efforts on the part of the Democrats to be nothing but partisan attacks and the Democrats will suffer greatly for it at the polls, as I’ve been suggesting for some time now. Anything the Democrats are going to be able to come up with is going to have to wait until after November 2020.
Remember that with the Democrats it’s all about power. This is not about justice but about power. They are finally gotten around to recognizing that the pursuit of the white whale is not conducive to their continued control of Congress and therefore you and I. In their view, nothing must get in the way of that.
Which is precisely why the comedy team of Shiff and Nadler are warming up in the wings. Remember this whole thing is being coordinated. You want to talk about collusion? Here it is. It’s a lock sure bet that those two have a pretty good idea what the Mueller report is going to say having been supplied leaks from inside the Mueller team.
What we are watching here is a setup for an attack on the presidency after the 2020 election.
Which by the way, tells us something else also. It says the Democrats know they’re going to lose in 2020. Would they be setting up for an attack on this president after the election if they thought they had any chance of winning that presidential election?

Lin Wood said he is filing a lawsuit against CNN Monday or Tuesday for more than $250 million over the news outlet’s alleged “vicious” and “direct attacks” on his client, Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann. On Twitter Saturday, the lawyer suggested that the amount could be around $275 million.
Wood, an Atlanta-based attorney who specializes in aggressive defamation suits against the media, was hired by the Sandmanns to bring justice to Nick, whose name was dragged through the mud after a short video clip showing a confrontation between Native American activist Nathan Phillips and the Covington Catholic boys in Washington, D.C., went viral.
It’s long past time for conservatives… just regular Americans… to be taking the gloves off on this kind of nonsense.
I’m telling you point-blank that if this kind of lawsuit happened more often, the kind of attacks that we’ve been seeing on the beliefs of the majority of Americans, such as what we’ve been seeing not only at the Lincoln memorial with the Covington kids, but in every other aspect of life, wouldn’t be happening nearly as often. The man accused of assaulting a conservative activist on the University of California, Berkeley campus last month has been the subject of a restraining order and has filed numerous restraining orders himself, attorney Harmeet Dhillon told Fox News on Wednesday.
Dhillon, Williams’ attorney, revealed on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that Greenberg has had previous legal issues. He had allegedly filed numerous restraining orders and small claims against his roommates and also sued landlords — but the cases were dismissed, Williams said.

Greenberg was also the subject of a restraining order in 2017 that was requested by one of his roommates, Dhillon said. That order was reportedly granted by the courts and, according to legal documents obtained by Fox News, Greenberg was also forced to turn over his 12-gauge pump shotgun and boxes of ammunition.
Interesting that none of the supposed mainstream media outlets covered that tiny little bit of information. they would just as soon continue with the illusion that the guys got a clean record. Read those quotes again. I wouldn’t consider that a clean record.
Personally I would just as soon see him get the same level of due process and presumption of innocence that judge Kavanaugh, and the Covington kids got.

Ocasio-Cortez and Saikat Chakrabarti, her former campaign chair and current chief of staff, obtained majority control of Justice Democrats in December 2017. The PAC, which had raised more than $1.8 million before her June 2018 primary, has been widely credited with manufacturing her upset victory over incumbent Democrat Joe Crowley.
Snopes writer Dan MacGuill falsely claimed in his story that Chakrabarti, who served as executive director of Justice Democrats in 2018, “was not an official agent or officer” of the PAC. He also failed to acknowledge the fact that he and Ocasio-Cortez are members of the PAC’s three-member board of directors, according to archived versions of the Justice Democrats website and corporate filings obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Sorry, no. This is not a failure to mention it. This is withholding evidence that runs afoul of the standard Democrat talking points. This is something that we’ve come to expect other places like Snopes.

Archived copies of the Justice Democrats website reveal Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti held “legal control over” the PAC starting in December 2017, and that Chakrabarti was one of its “major players” up until January 2019.
