Yes

Eric Florack on March 9th, 2019

This should be required reading.

I for one am sick to death of the nonsense circulating around this kind of thing.

So, this pops up in my feed this morning from Jim Treacher:

As we saw with Ralph Northam — Yeah, remember him? Governor Coonman? — the Democrats claim to care about a lot of things that they don’t really care about. Northam was condemned across the board for his racism, right up until the Dems realized that the only way out of that mess was to put the office in enemy hands. It was a comedy of errors: “How about replacing him with this guy? He’s black, so that’ll mean we’re not racist anymore. Wait, no, he’s accused of rape. How about this guy? No, he’s a racist too. Okay then, how about this guy? No, he’s something even worse: a Republican.” So, they just stopped pretending they cared. They dropped the story like a hot rock. They left a racist in office rather than concede any power, anywhere. Why should they care? They’re Democrats.
And now the same process is happening with the Dems’ purported opposition to anti-Semitism.

As ever, Jim is spot-on with this comparison, and the double standard that he points out goes precisely to what Lee Zeldin was talking about in the video I posted yesterday.

With Democrats, and with establishment Republicans to a slightly lesser degree, it’s all about whether or not their team’s power suffers when somebody screws up.

The willingness of Democrats in particular to go after the overt racism of the Virginia governor or the rape allegations of its lieutenant governor for example are directly connected to whether or not somebody outside the Democrats hold is going to attain power because of it.

In short, for all their screaming about racism, rape, anti-Semitism, all the usual Democrat talking points, they all are secondary, a tool to be used for obtaining and retaining power. they are not Democratic values, merely Democrat talking points. The only thing that the Democrats value is power.

All one needs to do to confirm this as look at what temperature it’s actually do not what they say.

Which brings us back around to the representative from the Islamic Republic of Minnesota.

Victory Girls :

Ilhan, you tweeted about Israel hypnotizing the world. You’ve singled out AIPAC and other conservative organizations stating that ‘it’s all about the Benjamins baby.’ Furthermore, all your lovely anti-semite pals (Linda Sarsour, David Duke, and others) rallied around you. Some had the absolute GALL to say that your remarks weren’t all that bad, and you are just misunderstood.

Umm NO. Your horrendous dual loyalty smear dumps that misunderstanding into the sewer.

The resolution, prior to the vote, was rewritten AGAIN to include not only the kitchen sink, but pantry and refrigerator as well.

“The measure was initially expected to condemn anti-Semitism, but it was ultimately delayed due to tensions within the Democratic caucus over the language in the resolution.

It was later revised to also condemn discrimination against “Latinos, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders, and the LGBT” as well as “African-Americans, Native Americans, and other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, immigrants, and others.””

Yes, the resolution ended up being worthless and dishonest. Why? Because they were too damned cowardly to call Ilhan Omar out.

And again, the reason that the Democrats were unwilling to call her out what’s because their power would be threatened.

What are they going to do at this point… call for a special election in Minnesota? Do you suppose under those circumstances there’s even an ice cube’s chance in hell a replacement Democrat will be successful in such a special election?

So, the Democrats sit on their hands in the face of naked anti-semitism, knowing full well that if they they oppose it they’re going to lose a seat in Congress. Again, it all comes down to party power.

The thing is, I don’t see the woman shutting up anytime soon. I don’t think they do, either. And even if she does, how many other Islamic members of the Democrat Party are willing to stand up and take her place?

And so the can gets kicked down the road again. At least until the 2020 election. Thing is I don’t see the Dems being able to wiggle their way out of this one, regardless of whether or not they’re able to kick the can down the road till 2020, which of itself would be even more disastrous than I’ve already predicted.

And finally, there’s a number of blogs that I monitor and occasionally engage that haven’t dared to touch this subject.

Gee, I wonder why?

I still marvel just a bit that the American Press is so fouled up that thr British press (itself, not a bastion of right-wing sort by any stretch of the imagination) has to do their work for them…  particularly when the British press has problems of its own.

That said, this just broke a few minutes ago.

Neither Smollett’s legal team nor Cook County prosecutors have commented on the new indictment which was first reported by CWB.

The indictment breaks down all the times Smollett allegedly lied by claiming to have been attacked by two racist and homophobic assailants on January 29 in Chicago.

Personally I’m waiting for Nancy Pelosi to tell the world that Jussie Smollett just had a different experience than the rest of us and can’t be blamed.

I mean, look. let’s not kid each other about this. The grave disappointment being Miles by democrats when they speak of any of this at all anymore is that the guy was dim-witted enough to get caught.

Similarly the American Press has refused at least thus far to do any additional reporting beyond what we heard once he did get caught… And we both know why that is….once he got caught the story no longer served the narrative. In fact it actually tore down the narrative because it showed leftist press and leftist pols and what they were willing to sacrifice to uphold that narrative. Having the American people reminded of this would be counterproductive to their purposes.

I’d like very much to see this guy frog-marched off but I suppose I’m going to be having to watch the British press to see that happen.

With a hat tip to Sister Toldjah over at Red State… You need to go read this.

Or watch it, here.

I’m sure I’ll have more to say on this later.

Eric Florack on March 7th, 2019

I’ll say this for Democrats… They are certainly brazen.

Let’s just make sure we understand what we’re dealing with here…

A freshman Democrat, Ilhan While Omar, from the Obama -created Islamic Republic of Minnesota, engages in repeated, grotesque examples of anti-semitism, and when called on it blames Jews for it.

So in response to the outcry against that, the Democrats get together and “do something about it”. They pass a resolution that condemns white supremacists… And totally fail to condemn Omar or anti-semitism. Pelosi says the resolution offered doesn’t mention Omar because it’s not about her.

Meanwhile, Screwy Louie, the Nation of Islam and David Duke both come out in support of Omar, (apparently not having gotten the message from Pelosi that it’s not about Omar) and that mental midget Paul Krugman comes out with an oped suggesting that his own parties’ anti-Semitism doesn’t bother him.

I was about to say there’s no consequences for anti-Semitism in the Democrat party today, but perhaps that’s overstated….

A few more Jew-hating comments from Omar and Pelosi’s going to stop posing for magazine covers with her. (Ha,ha)

My friends it’s becoming clear that the Democrat Party is the party of anti-semitism. It always has been, actually, they’re just not caring that anybody knows about it, anymore.

The reason they don’t care is it’s not going to hurt their power. or, at least, so they figure. After all, the Jewish communities here in the United States are generally limited to the large cities which are already Democrat enclaves, and are going to remain so even if the Jews uniformly walk away from the Democrat Party.

(It’s amazing to me that that didn’t happen several times over already, but there it is.)

What we are talking about here is a brazen political calculation, which is in fact a natural outcome of the increasing Islamic influence in the Democrat Party. It was never going to go any other way.

Remember folks these are the idiots that want to run every single aspect of your life, and whose every second word makes the charge of “racism”.

It’s a lock sure bet, if there is the slightest possibility of her attaining power:

Colby Hall:

Hillary Clinton made a number of headlines when she revealed to News 12 Reporter Tara Rosenblum that she had no intention to run for President in 2020. This was the second time that she had made such a claim on the record, but the first to do so on video, and as result, this news went viral and played a big part in Tuesday’s news cycle.

But New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman is reporting via Twitter that reports of the death of Hillary’s presidential ambitions may have been premature. In a two-part tweet, Haberman revealed that according to her source that is “close with Clinton,” the former Secretary of State had not completely ruled out a 2020 run.

She goes on to say in part 2 of the tweet:

The person also says she is extremely unlikely to run, but that she remains bothered that she’s expected to close the door on it when, say, John Kerry isn’t. She has told her team she is waiting at least to see the Mueller report. 2/2

Ha!

Where to dig in?

(SMH)

First of all, apparently Hillary Clinton is the only one who doesn’t understand that the Mueller report is going to be a huge nothingburger. Good Lord, does she not understand that the whole of the Democrat Party has given up on the thing, which is precisely why the comedy team of Nadler and Schiff is just offstage warming up their act?

Secondly, I’m quite sure that Donald Trump would be interested in mopping the floor with her alcohol soaked, oversized pantsuit a second time.

She should know very well that’s precisely what would happen… but I suppose we can take as an indication of just how far removed from reality she is, when she suggests that Lurch would take the nomination, much less the general election.

And by the way, as regards Maggie Haberman, let’s remember, shall we, that one has been exposed fully as a Clinton operative. I suppose that she’s trying to make up for spilling the beans on the funding for that fake dossier Fusion GPS put up.

Democrat congressman Jerry Nadler, leading the investigative charge against President Donald Trump, has a son whose firm is trying to get access to Trump documents for their clients in numerous lawsuits against President Trump.
“Congressman Jerry Nadler has a big conflict,” our source tells Big League Politics in Washington, D.C.
“His son (Michael Nadler) got a job with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2018. That’s convenient because Jerry Nadler and the Democrats just won control of the House in 2018. Gibson Dunn & Crutcher hire Jerry’s son and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher are the main Nemesis against Trump and the Trump Administration on numerous lawsuits. Now the Nadler family will gain access to thousands of Trump documents via Jerry’s subpoenas!,” our insider stated.

Nothing to see here, citizen. Move along.

The mainstream media has been insisting for the last couple of weeks that since the emergency declaration over the wall, a majority of Americans are against the idea of an emergency declaration.

The trouble with that assertion, of course, is that Trump’s approval numbers actually spiked, directly incidental to the decision to declare that emergency.

Oops, huh?

The Usual suspects have been claiming rather loudly is that the supposed opposition to the wall is proof that Trump is out of touch with the American people. Thing is, his approval numbers give lie to this.

At this stage of the game Trump’s approval numbers are just about where the approval numbers of Bush 43 was, about the same as where Bill Clinton was, and about the same where Barack Hussein Obama was and all of these went on to win their subsequent re-election efforts.

I’m forced to conclude by the approval ratings that Donald Trump is not out of touch with the American people and is in fact more in touch with them than the Democrats are. I’m also forced to conclude that this is the leftist Press trying to make their own reality.

Were that not true, why would the Democrats be expending all of this bile, spittle, and taxpayer money to investigate everything the man has done for the last 40 years, along with the obviously scripted protests, political show trials, and reversing themselves on security measures for this country that they approved of voted for it and saw that approval signed into law just a couple of years ago?

The answer to that seems clear: They feel it’s the only chance they have of reversing the voter rejection that hit them in 2016.

Bartender economics, get fifteen dollars per hour. lose money, from
Daily Wire:

The Guardian reported Wednesday that employees at Whole Foods, which Amazon purchased back in 2017, have experienced a dramatic drop in schedule shifts since the raised wages were introduced.
Along with the new $15 minimum wage for the entry-level positions, some higher-level Whole Foods employees have also enjoyed a $1 to $2 increase in hourly wages, the outlet notes. It all sounds good — until employees’ schedules are taken into account. Since the wage increase in November, Whole Foods employees say they’ve experienced “widespread cuts that have reduced schedule shifts across many stores, often negating wage gains for employees,” The Guardian reports.

Your grand pappy told you that there is no such thing as a free lunch.  The liberals are telling you otherwise.  Give yet one more to grand paw.

Haden Williams in Useless Toady:

I’ve started here many times. “Nature abhors a vacuum”.

I dare to suggest to you set the reason the Democrat Party has tilted so far to the left of late is because there is no real leadership among the supposed moderates anymore. The ones who are left are all busy on their anti Trump crusade.

That, in turn, has left the door open for the radicals to come in and assume the leadership. Thus we have people like AOC and Bernie Sanders shouldering their way into the leadership of the Democratic Party… With the results that we all see clearly.

Oh, these people have always been around, ever since the 50s, when McCarthy started calling them out. The difference is since the days of McCarthy the more moderate among the Democrats have been the adults in the room. These days, we actively see those moderates being pushed out.

The results of this is going to be an absolute disaster for the Democrat Party come 2020.

Did Kim know about the death of Otto warmbier? For that matter, did he know he was being held? Fact is, we don’t know the answer to that question.

Frankly I consider that a lot of the criticism being directed at Trump over his reaction to the Otto Warmbier situation with Kim is not being realistic in terms of priorities.

The Warmbier situation, tragic as it is, and as important as it is, pales in comparison to the prospects of denuclearizing North Korea, particularly when you consider the amount of lives that would be saved by that.

How far would the anti Trump crowd go for the one individual? Would they like it better if Trump had declared war on North Korea and invaded the place? I mean, what precisely are the limits, here? Do they actually have another realistic option? The answer is no.

There is a delicate negotiation going on here and brinkmanship is the coin of that realm. It’s not pretty, but it’s called reality.

Had Trump gone to the mat on this one, and spoiled the delicate negotiations that have been going on, it would have provided one more opportunity to call Trump a failure.

Those who are a railing against Trump taking Kim at his word that he didn’t know about Warmbier do not understand negotiation tactics. Else, perhaps it’s more convenient to ignore such things. Such people should ask themselves, though, what non-engagement has brought us and for that matter, what appeasement has brought us.

I mean, let’s remember please that it was the Clinton administration who gave North Korea nuclear capability in the first place.

How much is the anti Trump crowd willing to sacrifice on the world stage, how many lives, for the purpose of scoring a small and rather obscure point at home?

We haven’t been hearing very much about this in the American Press… But it seems the p.m., Justin Trudeau is up to his armpits in scandal…

The scandal centres around claims that Trudeau’s former attorney general, Jody Wilson-Raybould, was ina\nppropriately pressured by the Prime Minister to prevent the prosecution of a major Canadian engineering firm accused of fraud and bribery.

The affair has been politically costly to date. Gerald Butts, Trudeau’s closest adviser and a longtime friend, resigned two weeks ago, according to The Guardian. Wilson-Raybould has also resigned.

I have a theory that the reason why the story of Justin Trudeau really hasn’t made much of a dent in the American Press is because the American Press really doesn’t want anybody seeing what actual obstruction of justice looks like, for fear of taking some of the steam out of the anti- Trump crowd.

There is of course also the idea that Trudeau is one of the worldwide left’s chosen elite.

Over at the Cato institute we find:

HARVEY SILVERGLATE: An average, busy professional gets up in the morning, gets the kids to school, goes to work, uses the telephone or e-mail, has meetings, works on a prospectus or bank loan, goes home, puts the kids to bed, has dinner, reads the newspaper, goes to sleep, and has no idea that, in the course of that day, he or she has very likely committed three felonies. Three felonies that some ambitious, creative prosecutor can pick out from that day’s activities and put into an indictment.

In his foreword to my book, Alan Dershowitz discusses his time litigating cases in the old Soviet Union. He was always taken by the fact that they could prosecute anybody they wanted because some of the statutes were so vague. Dershowitz points out that this was a technique developed by Beria, the infamous sidekick of Stalin, who said, “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.” That really is something that has survived the Soviet Union and has arrived in the good old USA. “Show me the man,” says any federal prosecutor, “and I can show you the crime.” This is not an exaggeration.

Silvergate is of course talking about crime in general, and the way prosecutors today can jail you on a whim because our laws are so vague and yet complex.

In listening to the Democrats talking about the new round of investigations they’re putting up against the president, I can’t help but think of Beria, and his tactics.

Limbaugh on his show today:

Jerry Nadler says, “We have to get the facts. We’ll see where the facts lead. Maybe that will lead to impeachment; maybe it won’t.” Wait a minute. If there aren’t any facts, then why are you doing this? Just like with Mueller. He wasn’t given a crime, and so this special counsel investigation became a counterintelligence investigation, and counterintelligence investigations do not seek out crimes, which is why this whole thing has been a gigantic hoax. But when did it start that just because you don’t like somebody, you can begin mass subpoena requests to “get the facts”?

Nadler

After all of this — after everything that’s gone on the past two, 2-1/2 years — Nadler admits he doesn’t have the facts? They are so ticked off that Mueller apparently hasn’t come up with anything that they’re now saying, “Well, Mueller’s scope was much narrower than ours.” In one sense, that’s true. But Mueller’s investigation would have a little bit more leeway than theirs will, except (sigh) 81 — and he’s just getting started. He’s promising to go after Ivanka down the road and others.

But this is crazy. We’ve gone through two years of investigation, and a campaign where everybody and their brother was out to find dirt on Donald Trump — and all they came up with was that Access Hollywood tape. Two years, folks, and there’s nothing. They haven’t found a thing on Donald Trump, and they’re gonna keep looking, precisely because they don’t have anything? This is not the way things happen in a representative republic or a democracy. This is not at all… You at least have to have some indication that wrongdoing has taken place before you start pursuing it.

Indeed… We used to have a presumption of innocence. But here, we have somebody sworn to uphold the Constitution searching for a crime for which there is no evidence whatsoever. So much for the presumption of innocence.

I will point out to you that every single Republican president since Eisenhower has had to put up with attempts to remove them from office yes, all of them, every one of them started by Democrats.

So go ahead and tell me about how this is not a purely political vendetta.

My friends, I consider it no accident that the tactics being used by the Democrats here in the US are so very similar to what was used in Stalin’s time in the Soviet Union. I can’t help but believe that somewhere, Beria is smiling.
