After years and years of being told about how racist we are because we want the border closed, it seems the moment that the left gets some skin in the game, things change rather dramatically:. The Daily Wire reports:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other New York Democrats were shouted down during a press conference on Friday while speaking to constituents about the flood of illegal aliens that have hit the streets of New York City. “Close the border!” protesters shouted at the officials. “Close the border! Close the border!”
Other protesters became so aggressive in their confrontation with lawmakers that security personnel had to move them back.
Frankly, I find it difficult to summon any sympathy for this situation. In fact, the chief response here is dry amusement.
They were willing to inflict this situation on Texas and Florida and every other red state. Red States responded by shipping these illegals to self- proclaimed “sanctuaries”, and the result is what we see here.
They literally voted for this. The question is, will the consequences of what they voted for be enough to get them to reverse course, and not vote Democrat next time.

THE GREAT SOLAR STORM OF MARCH 1940: This story is shocking.
On March 24, 1940, a solar storm hit Earth so hard it made copper wires in the United States crackle with 800 volts of electricity. A New York Times headline declared that a “sunspot tornado” had arrived, playing havoc with any signal that had to travel through metal wires. “For a few hours it completely disrupted all long-distance communication,” wrote astronomer Seth B. Nicholson in a recap of the event for the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Radio announcers seemed to be “talking a language no one could understand.” The New York Times reported that more than a million telephone and teletype messages had been garbled:
“Veteran electrical engineers unhesitatingly pronounced it the worst thing of its kind within their memory.”
So why have you never heard of this storm? Even in 1940 it was fairly quickly forgotten. World War II was underway in Europe, and the USA was on the verge of joining. People had other things on their minds. Modern researchers, however, are paying attention. A team led by Jeffrey Love of the USGS Geomagnetism Program just published a new study of the event in the research journal Space Weather. Their work confirms that it was no ordinary solar storm. “It was unusually violent,” says Love. “There were very rapid changes in Earth’s magnetic field, and this induced big voltages in long metal wires.” Love and colleagues learned about the voltages from old engineering reports.
In 1940, the United States was cross-crossed by copper wires hundreds to thousands of miles long. They were not for power distribution; electrical systems were still mostly regional. Instead the wires were used for communications such as telephone calls and telegrams. When the “sunspot tornado” hit Earth, electricity began to move through the system. Technicians jotted down some of the voltages they saw–and the numbers were incredible. (Solar storm voltages in March 1940 (red) vs. the Quebec Blackout of March 1989 (blue). “Records show 400 V in Minnesota, 750 V in Missouri, and more than 800 V in Massachusetts,” says Love. “These are 10 times greater than long-wire voltages recorded during the Great Quebec Blackout in March 1989.”
What caused the high voltages? Love’s team examined old magnetogram records from the date of the storm and found evidence that two coronal mass ejections CMEs hit Earth only 1.82 hours apart. The double blow rattled Earth’s magnetic field in a complicated way most single CMEs do not. “This could be a harbinger of things to come,” says Love. Modern studies show that as many as 5 CMEs leave the sun every day during Solar Maximum.
With Solar Cycle 25 underway and intensifying, a double hit could definitely happen again. A similar storm today might not significantly impact communications; we live in the wireless age of cell phones.
Electricity is another matter. Modern power systems depend on long wires to shuttle electricity across the country. A repeat of 1940 could interfere with their operations.
Love notes that the 1940 voltages exceed NERC power-grid industry benchmarks for 100-year storms. As a result, some modern power grids might not be ready to handle the shock of another 1940 event. Read Love’s original research here: https://spaceweather.com/
Okay, now that you’ve read that little bit of History, go ahead and tell me about how the sun doesn’t affect our climate here on earth.
We are in the midst of a very active sunspot cycle. In other words the sun is throwing a temper tantrum that it does about every 11 years. Some sunspot cycles are worse than others. This one happens to be very active indeed. As an amateur radio operator I am quite observant of what the sun is doing because it affects my hobby. Some truly amazing radio contacts can happen when the sun is active as it is right now, as the increased radiation coming from the Sun reflects radio waves. Sometimes those emissions from the Sun are strong enough to screw up signals from satellites such as broadcast related satellites, GPS signals and so on..
But what also happens is it throws off more heat. And we are being told at this point not to pay any attention to any of that.(pay no attention to that man behind the curtain over there.)
I mean come on, seriously, we’re supposed to believe that the biggest hottest thing in the solar system, what is responsible more than any other physical Factor for our very existence because of the heat that it gives us and light, has no effect on things here on Earth? That the variations we observe on the Sun aren’t going to cause variations here on earth?
You do know that theyve found evidence of global warming on Mars, and as someone else pointed out, on the moon… Must be all the SUVs they’re driving up there.
Look, gang….Even if, even if, I assume that we humans have *anything* to do with the temperature raise that the government is claiming, (I don’t) you cannot be serious that 0.1 degrees over a period longer than 100 years, is anything more than a statistical blip, much less a serious threat.
We’ve known for quite a long time that this particular sunspot cycle was going to be a large one. So the church of Saint Greta had all their ducks in a row when it’s effects finally showed up this year.

And by the way, food and energy are the two biggest costs of the average household. And those aren’t part of the overall picture in the cpi. How very convenient that is.

Most idiocy is a collective experience… The way to rise above the normal everyday Group hug level of stupidity, is to attach the power of government to it. Make it a law so everybody does the stupid thing. You can’t outlaw idiocy, for the simple reason that the people writing the laws are idiots, themselves. These tend to follow the word of the supposed experts who have their own purposes. Actual service of the people is not among those purposes.
