We have public schools teaching homosexuality, cross dressing, etc… all as normal parts of the school year.

I don’t mean to place these items in the same breath, but… There seems no objection to teaching and respecting an invented Holiday, when blacks are involved… (Nee Kwanzaa) No apparent problems with respecting Jewish traditions (Hanukkah). But mention Jesus Christ, and the lawyers decend like a pack of rats smelling food.

Why are we letting the Lawyers (And I include judges and polititians, here) destroy who we are as a people?

the issue you bring up here is quite true. However, you’re missing a relationship I think needs to be pointed out. Webb, for all his self-rightious splutter, only seems concerned about where the press supposedly ignores stories that make the political right look bad…. and it’s usually the seriously crackpot crap, The Alcoa Hat Company listings, like the CIA and drugs in LA in support of the Contras, for example.

An example of this; You correctly point out that the press ignored Foster, pretty much, whereas given a chance to go after Al D’amato, they practically busted a vein getting into the story.

I mean, doesn’t the concept of WHY the press is ignoring what they’re ignoring enter the picture at some point? If so, looking at WHAT they ignore and WHAT they pursue should give anyone with a pulse, a clue.

In another issue that could cause friction with Bush, Martin said Canada was prepared to accept U.S. citizens who do not want to serve in the war in Iraq.

Wake up, Canada. Your government is falling down on it’s first and most important job; Security.

Clearly, Chevy Chase has lost his friggin’ mind. Senility is finally settling in. Or so one judges by the reports of his appearance at the Kennedy Center yesterday. Even the Hollywood left were trying to distance themselves from his comments there, says WaPo’s Richard Leiby in today’s. The Reliable Source (washingtonpost.com)

Of course Chase is simply playing to the room.  Think; What can you expect when the other speakers are Alec Baldwin .. he of the “I’m moving to France” line… and Susan Sarandon, (no comment), Tom Daschle, and Norman Lear? You rather expect a feeding frenzy at what was clearly designed as a bitch session for the losers of the last election. A little coke or maybe a little booze… Something… and a room full of bitter, bitter people bitching about their loss and someone like Chase is off to the races, doing what talents like him do; playing the room. Trouble is, he actually BELIEVES the sludge he spewed, and so it comes out stronger than he intends.

If I’m you, Chase, you blinking moronic stooge, I’m grabbing a national mike somewhere to issue a formal apology. If I’m “People for the (UN)-American way”, who hosted the event, I’m thinking some pressure on Chase to do that is worth the effort expended. If you’re really worried about being associated with this idiot’s comments, that is.

Of course it COULD be that you actually AGREE with the man, huh?

So, I wonder; at what point do the Democrats admit they were wrong on Iraq, too?

Jen Martinez points out this morning that while the UN lowered it’s flag in respect for the terrorist, Yassir Arafat, it did not do so for the death of Ronald Reagan.

She makes a reccomendation I can’t disagree with:

“I want restitution and an apology. Actually I want more, I want us out of the UN and I want the UN booted from my country, permanently.”

Frankly, I’m having a problem working up any kind of emotion at all on this one.My initial reaction, was one word: “Typical”.

After watching our own Demorat Mayor here in Rochester destroy our city in slow motion, it doesn’t even raise an eyebrow, anymore when a fellow Democrat pulls the same thing in another town, and for much the same reason. Says James:

Those of you in Rochester…. does this ring any bells about a big boat in the Genesee River? About High Falls? About a PAC? About proposals for a Casino in Downtown Rochester?

People, I want you to consider this seriously; Take a look at the Red/Blue map on a County- By- County level from the most recent election. and note that the areas of the country that are in the most decay, are the ones that are under the control of the Democratic party; they are the last holdouts for that party.

Juan Cole would rather align himself with anti-American Iraqis like the blogger Riverbend. Okay, whatever. But I have no idea why he expects conservatives and centrists to do any such thing. Most people in this world don’t reflexively side with those who hate them. One reason he is in the political wilderness and I’m not is because he does and I don’t.

But self-hatred seems to be a basic tenant of the un-American left, Michael. Haven’t you caught on, yet?

UPI fed this story last night, and it shows what we’re in for from the Democrats; Four more years of whining and bitching about a President that did what none of theirs have done since either Johnson, or FDR, depending on whose counting you use… won the popular vote…

The Democrats still can’t figure out why they lost… or perhaps simply will not admit it to themselves. And this tack they’ve just announced isn’t going to make it any better for them.

But please, Democrats continue with this farce.  My guess is, that as a result of your actions in this, the margin of victory will be even wider in the mid-term… for the Republicans.
