The Hypocrites of Homosexuality

Orson Scott Card:

“One thing is certain: one cannot serve two masters. And when one’s life is given over to one community that demands utter allegiance, it cannot be given to another. The LDS church is one such community. The homosexual community seems to be another. “

Interesting read. Since Card is LDS himself, I guess he won’t really tick off too many LDS people. And what he’s implying here is a dedication that reaches beyond literal truth… which would tend, actually to explain quite a bit.

Card goes on to argue a case from a religious POV, that I’ve argued in the past from a secular one: The behavior is a choice, even if the disposition isn’t. (And I consider that the jury is out on even that, yet)
