Yeah, I know, I’ve not written in a while. My schedule, alas is no longer my own in this new role as a student driver for a long-haul trucking company.
I can say that I’m covering huge amounts of ground, covering Ohio, Indiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and New Mexico so far. It’ss a huge country this and you don’t really understand how vast and varied it really is until you drive across it, as I have done this week.
I’m learning quite a bit, and truth to tell the work itself is a blast. But frankly, I miss my wife and my family terribly. I’m also a little annoyed at feeling so ‘off the grid’.
I’m taking pictures as I go and I’ll post them here as I can.
From here, it’s on to Chicago, and the who knows…..
