Drudge reports today:

“Democrat presidential hopeful John Kerry and his wife got into a heated argument after a campaign rally in Arizona Sunday night — a heated argument so hot they spent the night in different rooms!

A well-placed law enforcement source tells DRUDGE how Kerry and Teresa Heinz moved to separate suites at Flagstaff’s Little America Hotel. “

I’d say offhand, they know they’re in serious trouble, have known for some time, and the stress of it is getting to ’em.

(Reuters) reports from Najaf:

“U.S. marines said on Wednesday they were preparing a final assault on Iraqi Shi’ite militia in the holy city of Najaf, after a radical cleric ordered his men to keep fighting even if he was killed. “

His death seems likely by the end of today.

I’m slowly getting to the updating of the files over at BitsBits.
Someone on the SwiftVets site posted a few of my old Roadrunner links last night and the hit counters are going nuts, so I’ve gotta mae sure when I make changes I’ve got it right.

I’m becoming very aware indeed of how much is involved in chaging a live web page, with 90 extended articles. Every single one of them has dependencies on the old template that under the new template shows as errors.

Swift Vet linkers will find the links they follwed will forward them to the new site, sometime tonight.

Speaking of Boortz, looks like he’s started to figure out what I told you this last February 17th… that the Tides Foundation was a shakey org at best. I even ran a BitsBits on that subject.

Boortz says this morning in part, that;

Tides also supports the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which pretends to be a Muslim civil rights group, but is really has ties to the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas.  CAIR seems to spend most of its time in the US making sure that nobody says anything negative about the peaceful and loving religion of Islam.”

Wasn’t it Bill Clinton who complained about the Republicans and their ‘politics of personal destruction?’ “

It’s an interesting set of conditions for a party that mere weeks ago was complaining:

“Americans are tired of smear campaigns against those who volunteered to wear the uniform.”

Message to Kerry Supporters: YOU are what you were complaining about.

I tried to add the Blgroll for Bush last night.

Looked initially like it was working OK, and I guess it was. But for a page already a little topheavy on scripting, it pushed the load times way too high, even fr my high speed connections. I can’t imagine what the modem folks were dealing with.

Sad; I rather liked the idea of listing all those folks. I’m still looking at this.

Captain’s Quarters makes note that the legal threats from the Kerry camp have not stopped.

“Apparently unable to respond substantively to the charges outlines by the Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth, the Left has instead decided to run with the Kerry/Edwards strategy of suing them into silence. The AP reports that three so-called ‘watchdog’ organizations have filed a complaint with the FEC, attempting to get an injunction against any further ad buys”

This goes to what I said earlier… The Kerry folks know that the truth coming out will destroy him.
It’s really that simple.

Every once in a great while you run across some comment that you know is going to totally offend, be totally inflamitory, and you know is exactly correct, at the same time.Hugh Hewitt strikes such a cord today.

ARE THEY PLAYING THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE?:

Not a word from the big lefty blogs on John Kerry’s secret and illegal missions to Cambodia that he’s been talking about on the record from 1971 to 2003.  Atrios, Kos, Josh and Kevin haven’t posted a whisper on Kerry’s excellent adventures across the border.  Let’s guess why: The Kerry campaign has locked up and is not telegraphing the spin it will adopt, so the four horsemen of the lefty blogosphere can’t run with anything for fear of getting out-of-step with the eventual play.

I think a closer description of what we’re seeing is passage of the last book of the Lord Of The Rings, as Sauron sees the ring of power from whence he gets all his power is about to be destroyed…the one ring… is poised over the fires of Mt Doom…

Kerry’s entire worth as a pol was measured by this ‘war hero’ myth he’s built up around himself. That myth now been impacted and is on the verge of being destroyed, if it hasn’t been so, already. Other matters, including communication with his minions, suddenly lose their import.

Here’s hoping the story works out equally well in the end.

A story on the …AP Wire just now just about made me spill my coffee….

“SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A Nebraska man who once weighed more than half a ton has lost 321 pounds in a Sioux Falls hospital, with a goal of losing another 450 pounds.

Patrick Deuel, 42, of Valentine, weighed 1,072 pounds when he was admitted to Avera McKennan Hospital eight weeks ago. Deuel, who is just under 6 feet tall, is on a 1,200 calorie-a-day diet.”

I have mental pictures of some idiot reporter asking what the first sign of trouble was.

OK, I’m not sure where he got this, but a reader passed this on, and it seemed a good idea to post it. I have my disagreements with O’Reilly, some of them quite pronounced… but it’s nice to see someone give serious challange to that idiot Krugman.
