BBC Covering Up It’s Bias?

That was my call a few months ago, and now it appears others are coming tot he same conclusion.

Says an article in the Wall Street Journal this morning:

… the problem here goes beyond the errors of judgment made by one reporter and the unwillingness of his higher-ups to acknowledge responsibility. It speaks to a culture of bias that has crept into the news reporting of what was once a very fine media organization.

I say this kind of person deserves worse than death; he should be made into a fillet of terrorist, publicly screaming in pain and for his life.  Oh, yes, make this a public event. The example made of this animal will cause serious second thoughts among his fellows for trying this on us again. Bloody, yes, but far less so than he wanted to do to us, and in the long run less bloody than it would be if we were to simply jail the man for the remainder of his life. The old saw about ‘kill one, frighten 100,000″ comes to mind.

Davis claims:

“This is an insult to the 8 million people who went to the polls last November and decided I should be governor”

Actually, Mr Davis the reason you’re being recalled is the people of your state feel insulted by you and your policies.
The polling data at the moment shows 64% of people of that state now want him removed. And to top that point, only 51% of Democrats want him to keep the job. Says Davis:

“There’s no doubt that there is frustration and disappointment among the people. I get it, I’m working hard to solve people’s problems. I trust Californians, know they’ll do the right thing”

Exactly why you’re all done, Mr Davis. Good riddence to bad rubbish.

Says the Washington Times:

In the background of this recall vote in California is the fact that people have been leaving the state in droves….

LOS ANGELES — Gregory Hines (search), the greatest tap dancer of his generation who transcended the stage with a successful screen career that included starring roles in “White Nights” and “The Cotton Club,” has died at 57.

THUGS ATTACK RECALL SUPPORTERS
ATTACK CAUGHT BY FOX NEWS CHANNEL CREW
Charges To Be Filed as Recall Supporters Rushed to Emergency Room

(SACRAMENTO) – Recall Gray Davis supporters were violently
attacked a little more than one hour ago by Gray Davis supporters.
Those who were assaulted have been taken to a local hospital emergency
room in Sacramento.

A protest was underway against taxpayer-funded “Workers Against
the Recall” workshops that were being led by a coalition of
labor union organizations including the publicly-funded University of
California Institute for Labor and Employment (UC ILE). The UC ILE
received $4,000,000 of taxpayer’s money in the budget signed by
Governor Davis one week ago (Saturday).

Protestors were across the street from the event marching peacefully
when Davis supporters rushed across J Street in Downtown Sacramento
and began beating recall supporters. Davis thugs also attempted to
steal and destroy “YES on RECALL” signs from recall
supporters.

“Gray Davis’ anti-recall campaign continues to stoop to
new levels. The use of taxpayer money to fight the people’s
recall campaign is revolting. The use of violence and physical attacks
against recall supporters is disgusting and reprehensible. We call on
Governor Davis to save any last shred of decency he has and condemn
the use of violence against innocent citizens,” declared Recall
Gray Davis spokesman, Joe Wierzbicki who was present at the protest.

Fox News showed a clip about 20 minutes after it took place. Claudia
Cowan is the reporter. She said it will be showed throughout the day.

From one of the victims and witnesses:

“There were 4 waves of attack. I believe what Fox News aired was the
1st wave. During the attack I was 20 feet down the sidewalk with
another pro-recall person giving a live interview to KFBK News Talk
1530 AM – Sacramento #1 radio station.
We were supposed to be discussing the taxpayer funding of the
anti-recall effort (which is what we were upset with and why we were
out protesting). ”

“During this interview the shouting Gray Davis thugs began to rush
over. What you see on the footage thus far aired by Fox News Channel
is one of the waves of people coming across the street. At this point
our people have dispersed and you see one portion of our group under
assault.”

Our people were beaten, punched, kicked, TACKLED TO THE GROUND for 5
minutes. You see one of the altercations. Our people were dispersed on
one side of the street. There were about 20. Women were knocked to the
ground. People were beaten furiously on the back as they were hunched
over. People were punched repeatedly. You see 20 seconds of it. I
think it’s awful.

I’d like Episcopals to consider this question.

First consider the words of St. Paul, in his letter to Timothy:

“If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?” (1 Timothy 3:2-5)

In this light then, ponder an Episcopalian minister, who is married, with two children. This minister leaves said wife and kids, and is now living with another woman. Would such a person be then seriously considered for elevation to the office of Bishop?

So, along comes V. Gene Robinson. Married, two kids. Leaves them for another MAN. This, the Church leaders think is OK.
I said it in my long-form bit of last week:

….a whole new front is opened, with homosexuals attacking Chruch policy and teachings ostensibly from *within* the church and some church fathers agreeing with them. How, in the face of the teachings of the Church, can one take up such a pro-homosexual argument, and call one’s self a member of that body? This is nothing less than an attack from within the Church. The enemy within, after all, is always the most destructive. Apparently the only ones who understand this are the ones doing the attacking.

Again, I say louder….Those who tolerate everything, stand for nothing. So, the question now becomes: Do the teachings of the church stand for something, or do they not?

The British Magazine, “The Economist” is reporting that Intelligence officials are producing another dossier on Iraqi arms, and “there is said to be hard evidence of cover-up programmes designed to conceal weapons of mass destruction. ”

Add to this, the report from Bob Novak, this morning. that:

” Former international weapons inspector David Kay, now seeking Iraqi weapons of mass destruction for the Pentagon, has privately reported successes that are planned to be revealed to the public in mid-September. Kay has told his superiors he has found substantial evidence of biological weapons in Iraq, plus considerable missile development. “

It’s beginning to look like the anti-war idiots will have their heads handed them yet again. Not that they’ve been making much use of them.

According to a story printed in today’s INDEPENDENT:

American pilots dropped the controversial incendiary agent napalm on Iraqi troops during the advance on Baghdad. The attacks caused massive fireballs that obliterated several Iraqi positions.

Good. I’d be annoyed if they didn’t use the best weapon for the purpose. Clearly the intent was to reduce casualties on both sides by crushing Saddam’s ability to resist. What better way than to create a few examples? Granted that it’s not very pleasant for those under the bombs… but would greater numbers of the enemy dying in more “pleaseant” ways (along with far more of our own people dying as well) have satisfied the anti-war crowd any more?
