No doubt these students also have no idea that billions of people worldwide have been lifted out of poverty by the transition from socialism up to free enterprise. I seriously think the country would be better off if fewer of our young people went to college. And it would be much better off if young people were getting a decent basic education through high school, as they once did, in which case the remedial function that most colleges now play (badly) would be unnecessary. But that is looking like a pipe dream, for now.
The Central point here is the government is running both the high schools and the colleges anymore. If the high schools are failing, (Johnny can’t read his diploma but he knows all about global warming and how bad white men are) should we expect any less out of the colleges which have become de facto government operations as well?
The president in recent weeks has maintained that his economic policies are ‘turning things around and ‘delivering for the American people,’ and has made other comments intended to boost support for Bidenomics. But by 51 percent to 42 percent, Americans disagree with those assessments, based on the online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken July 5-7 from 1,341 adults. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points.
The Biden administration is doing everything it can to make sure it’s opponents are silenced.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made the announcement on Friday morning: despite the fact that he is a candidate for the presidency of the United States, the Biden regime has denied him Secret Service protection…
There’s two reasons for Kennedy to have secret service protection. Is a candidate for the president of the United States. Traditionally such candidates are always given such protections.
The other more important reason in this case is that RFK Jr knows what happens to people that expose the criminality of Democrats. Apparently Mr Biden wants that option open which cannot happen with the secret service in the way.
And no, I wouldn’t put it past them.
This just in: The judge won’t accept the proposed plea deal at least for now.
Some thoughts: Now we know why DOJ didn’t show us the plea agreement terms. What didn’t they want us to know ahead of time? A) a global immunity deal for Hunter; B) A binding plea (that is, the judge must accept the specific terms if she accepts the agreement); C) Misdemeanor probation; D) Other unusual plea terms.
1. A global immunity deal for Hunter while the overall investigation is “ongoing”, is stunning—a super-sweetheart deal.
2. A binding plea is extremely unusual in the vast majority of federal jurisdictions. It means for example, that if the agreement calls for probation the judge must give Hunter probation. It is binding.
3. That the prosecution and defense would disagree about the terms of the agreement in open court is a joke. Ambiguous terms in a plea agreements are construed against the government! There should be no room for disagreement on the key terms of the agreement. So, this was either astounding incompetence or corruption on DOJ’s part. I think it is corruption. This looks like a wink and a nod deal (as @shipwreckedcrew has noted) where DOJ would have plausible deniability if the judge asked no questions and accepted the deal. The scope of immunity is the most important feature of a plea deal. It is inconceivable that the prosecutors were incompetent here. Leo Wise has an excellent reputation for competence.
4. Think about this. DOJ was about to sanction a plea deal where Hunter would get misdemeanor probation on serious tax charges plus pretrial diversion (no time served or criminal record) on the felony gun charge. Hunter would also get complete immunity on all other charges. And he would not have to cooperate with the government’s ongoing investigation. Totally disgraceful. Merrick Garland and David Weiss should be ashamed. And where is Lisa Monaco? Why hasn’t she been called to testify?
Most important in this is point four. The creep would not have to cooperate with the government investigation. Investigation into what? Crimes involving him and his father, Joe Biden. That’s what.
So once again we find that Joe Biden is being protected by the DOJ. Meantime, they’ve got to make up stuff to go after Donald Trump with. These people are turning this country into a banana Republic where those in power seek to hang on to political power by using the criminal justice system to squash their political opponents.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what a two-tiered justice system looks like.
Observe the way our weaponized law enforcement organizations, particularly the Federal, along with the Democrat party appointees in the judiciary, react to whistleblowers bringing evidence against government corruption particularly where Democrats are concerned.
Now, explain to me how that reaction is any different whatsoever than the reaction of the Chinese Communist party to dissidents in that country.
There is one thing that I will guarantee you about all of this. Whoever brought it into the White House has security clearance.
There’s no way on God’s green earth that somebody doing the tours was able to get that in. Sorry, I don’t buy it, no matter how hard the mainstream media tries to sell it.
Also turns out, the location in the White House where this junk was found, were not accurate. So, right off the bat, we were being lied to.
Again.
Big surprise.
From here on, we get into a little speculation, but it fits the known facts, including the history of this administration.
We are reasonably sure that Hunter Biden, hooked on that stuff as he is, was not in the White House through that time frame. So apparently, the drug problem in the White House is wider than was reported previously which should surprise nobody at all.
It’s an established fact that the justice department, the cia, the FBI etc, have been going to bed for the Biden administration, shielding it from any negative reports. Would it surprise anyone that other federal agencies involved with the White House should be performing similar cover?
Frankly with what we know about our federal agencies and their handling of such matters, (as in hiding the truth from the American people) I find far more credible the idea that they are still running cover for the Biden family and their subordinates in the White House then I do the idea that they don’t know where it came from. Such as their credibility anymore I’m afraid.
It gets even more obvious when you consider the White House has what is probably the best security system in the world, including high resolution surveillance cameras on every square inch of the place.
The government can listen in on the conversations of Americans all over the planet. We’re talking about a group of people who have in essence the largest data collecting apparatus in the world. No stone is left unturned in the pursuit of protecting the American public from parents attending PTA meetings.
But when the son of a Democrat party leader, who somehow managed to get himself into the White House, a well-known crackhead, and who has more than a checkered past is involved, their duty to protect the Democrat from negative publicity overrides everything else. They publicly claim after foot dragging for a couple of weeks that they were absolutely clueless on whose stuff that was.
Trust me on this is nothing else…
They know where it came from. Make no mistake about this.
They know.
Ayn Rand, in “Atlas Shrugged”, published in 1957 predicted what is happening to our Country today.
When Ayn Rand was writing her book, many Americans strongly believed the government should have the power to coercively redistribute income and to regulate private industry.
The capitalist system of political and economic freedom was consistently attacked socialist and welfare statists. The belief that an individual has a right to live his own life was replaced, to a significant extent, by the collectivists idea that individuals must live and work in the service of other people. Individual rights and political freedom were seen as a threat to politics, education and culture.
Look at what happening America now. Biden is selling out the Country to China. He is pushing the nationalization of the oil companies. He is constantly working to replace our Constitutional Republic with a fascist system of government through heavy regulation of private business.
A national nightmare is closer than you think.
And that’s the situation in a nutshell, right there. Any opposition to the left immediately gets labeled as racist. It’s become cliche. It’s become a knee-jerk reaction from the left to any opposition, frankly because until lately it’s been working for them rather nicely.
The history has been that they wait around for the leftist supposedly mainstream media to tell them who to hate and then they go to town. And as I say it’s been working for them for some time now.
Not anymore, however.
All these detractors found, to their annoyance that much like Rush Limbaugh, Aldine expressed what a majority of Americans were already thinking and expressed it well.
Their anger… (Perhaps best expressed as butt hurt)…. becomes particularly pronounced when they find themselves vastly outnumbered in their position.
Given the reactions I see in the commentariat, it seems a safe bet that the silent majority not only exists but they have reached the international “enough” line.
Of course there are other signs:
The current administration is running approval numbers in the middle 30s, historic Lows. 81 million votes my butt.
The purveyors of woke are suffering mightily under the reaction from the American people. Disney for example where the last 8 movies they produced have fallen flat on their faces like Bowery drunks. Speaking of drinking Budweiser took a 30 billion dollar hit as a result of their virtue signaling with Dylan Mulvaney. Who decided ultimately to move to Peru rather than face the criticism.
If the deflection point has not yet been reached, you can certainly smell it from here.
The attempts to keep a lid on this thing tell us rather a lot about the people that we are dealing with, and none of it good.
